This is the gas station in my neighborhood. The prices are pretty decent as gas prices go. The…read moreconvenience store is exactly what is supposed to be a convenience store when you don't want to be inconvenienced. Nothing particularly special. They have "upgraded" the pump area with music. It is painfully annoying. It's the same tone and beat, in a Twilight Zone type Loop. It is the kind of thing when you pull up to the gas station and it begins to play it will make you feel absolutely like you have gone bonkers. And it stays with you for a long time after you left the gas station. Which would be okay except for it has no meaning. It's not like a song with some lyrical value or meaning. It's just a beat that plays over and over and over again. It is been so annoying that many of us have gone into the Arco store and asked what do we do to get their corporation to turn it off. However, one thing that I do like about the upgrade is they have gas station TV. Basically while you're standing there pumping for one or two minutes it takes to put the gas in your car you can watch TV and commercials. It's not like you could change the channels or anything but I suppose it's there to entertain and obviously have commercials pumped in your face while you're pumping gas. I suspect the TV is there so that as you are being annoyed by the music you concentrate on the the TV instead. But it just doesn't work the whole thing is damn annoying. This is why they're getting a single star for their stupidity to not realize that their customers don't want to be so annoyed that they feel like they're going nuts. The only way you can really understand what I'm talking about is to come to Kingston, stop at the Arco gas station, pump some gas, to join the locals and the cars coming off the ferry that need gas, to experience being completely annoyed and maybe even frightened. Come on, Arco, how could you even think that annoying single, monotone piece of music playing in that loop it's going to make people feel good about pumping gas or want to come back? Sometimes corporations do some really dumb stuff. This is an example of over the top corporate stupidity. Because honestly this gas station is my neighborhood but I now go down the street to another gas station further away these days.

They can do that in the dead if night until morning. their sign (which is old) says "9:45-10:05 shift change". This happens often, it's now 10:25 and yet again they have the doors locked Passed the State Time. They will probably read this as selfish but they know they shouldn't have to lock the doors for a 24hour business with No Traffic after 12.. ridiculous.

He stalked me around the store multiple times. I finally reported him when he stalked me out to my car. The man also never rings me up right. He's had multiple issues where he does not know how to properly scan rewards. Today I came in to redeem one of my 4 free drinks. He was trying to have me pay and I finally said you know what, I'm just going to leave if this reward doesn't work out. It didn't. I tried to leave but he stopped me to yell saying "then why do you waste cup waste drink?" I explained to him that I had come for my reward so he would have to take it up with 711, his system management or his manager. He continued to harass me so I started recording him. I asked him again why he was yelling at me and he continued to laugh, proceeded to record me. I showed the rewards again and explained if he didn't know how to use his system it's ok but that he can't go yelling at customers making them feel bad and accusing them of waste just because he doesn't want to contact his management about his negligence because it's been months and he still neglects to learn his system or customer service.

Chevron - For gas station food this chicken is good.

We stopped for gas on our way back to Seabeck after visiting Poulsbo. We are avid Chevron customers and participate in their rewards program. Chevron also takes Safeway rewards. If you have both, you earn double the rewards! The gas station was clean. The pumps and credit card machines worked great. The windshield cleaner was full and clean. We also needed a couple of grocery items, so we purchased them in the convenience store. Pricing is comparable to other 'convenience' stores. Service was friendly. Store was clean. Would highly recommend.

Before COVID and my osteoarthritic hip, I used to go inside to order breakfast items or to use the bathroom on my way to some function. The owner back then was Jim. He was such a sweetheart. His crew of cashiers and folks that worked there (including his family members) were always very kind and helpful. Although it has changed hands, and I no longer go inside, their customer care is still impeccable. I order food several times a month through the drive up window. It is all prepackage food. But they do such a good job making sure it's hot and fresh. A delicious corn dog, or chicken tenders with Cooper or BBQ sauce, or bone-in chicken and JoJo's, etc., just make me happy on my way to wherever! Okay, so I must admit the food is not good for you because of the high sodium content and all of that, but it is good to you. Easy and quick to order. Not too extensive a menu to overwhelm and confuse. It's just some good old tasty food I don't prepare at home. So my suggestion is if you stop there for gas, go inside and see what their deli offers. Order something that appeals to you. Wash your hands they do have a bathroom. And enjoy eating on the go. Or if you are lazy like me, just go to that wonderful drive up window. I can't speak for the coffee because I don't drink that stuff. But they'll certainly go over the food menu with you. Get something to eat. Most is handheld food. Park for a few minutes so you can devour it safely. But if you're in a hurry and have to eat while you're driving (I don't recommend that because it is super challenging and not safe to squeeze ketchup and mustard on a corn dog while you're driving) be safe and enjoy.
