Although the gas is cheap (almost on par with Costco), it's such a nightmare to get in line for gas here. There's no structured setup to line up for the filling stations because cars line up on both sides of the station. So it's a toss up as to who's turn it is to pull up to the filling station. I see a lot of people parking their cars at the filling station and leaving it there idle. They're not even pumping gas. Sometimes there are some stations that are out of order so that further limits the available pumps. Definitely don't come here on Angels game day because it is super crowded. read more

The owner/manager of this place is the best! Listen to this.... My wallet was stolen and they used my debit card at this gas station to fill up 80$ worth. I went there and asked if I could look at the security cams to see if i could recognize them. I don't remember his name but the manager he's an asian man maybe late 40s was more than accommodating even though i could tell he was busy. We went through the footage, he got me photos, transaction docs and video copies of the two male POS thieves. He didn't have to do this, I was told normally an officer would have to be there to ask for it. Anyways i submitted all the info to the GGPD and a detective called me a week later to tell me they found out who it was and are building a case against the thieves. Super cool of him to help me, I want to bake him some cookies or something. Those things make for a better and safer community for us all! read more

Eh...I knew I had to write this review at some point. Yes, the Arco here has the cheapest gas on this side of the orange crush and I do suggest it to folks driving in and out to Disneyland. However, crowds to line up for gas can get hectic and some people here are just rude. I only been to the AmPm inside once because sometimes the credit card reader will not pick up or read your card. Sometimes using a different card helps. I really didn't need the cashier at the AmPm to talk down to me when I needed $50 in my tank. Yes, gas is affordable here but you kinda have to deal with crowds and risk poor customer service to get cheap gas. read more

Went to this ampm for a quick stop on a road trip and was told I could not top off my cup with some ice without paying $1.00. so I than began to finish my drink in my cup that I brought in to top off. On top of that I was told I could not drink my beverage fromy cup that I brought from the car. Secondly I got a cup and filled it coffee and milk from the coffee bar so she changed me the cost of the drink and an upcharge of 1.79 because I had too much milk in my cup. Cashier said creepy things to me and grabbed my hand when I tried to pay $5 for gas. Then he didn't ring the $5 up, because he wanted me to go inside again-- who knows why. This gas station has the best gas prices around and generally always stays below competitors. I advise everyone to fill up during the day or go somewhere else if at night. I don't know why but this gas station becomes a homeless heaven at night and they tend to be pushy and offensive. I strongly recommend ladies traveling alone to avoid this place at night completely. I have several female friends that have all felt threatened into giving money to homeless and have been disrespected. read more

This gas station ALWAYS has some of the best prices in the area. There are long lines most of the time but it's expected when prices are that low. I don't understand people's complaints. I've never had an issue here. People who complain about the 35 cents fee for using a card are ridiculous. 1. When you use a card to make a transaction, the bank takes a small fee from the purchase and so the seller doesn't get all of it. 2. It's not like it's 35 cents per gallon or even a dollar fee. Located on the southwest corner of Katella and State College right across from Angel Stadium, down the street from Disneyland and the 5 and 57 fwy. It's too good to be true, but it is. My car broke down and the Hispanic woman cashier approached us. She was threatening to call the police if we didn't leave. Our vehicle was in the handicapped parking because we are Handicap. We explained that we were waiting for the tow truck to arrive and she said it didn't matter we needed to leave because she would be calling the police. The service is non existent in this location. This location has everything you'd expert from any Arco location... Unclean, vandalized and long lines at the pump. When I come here to get gas, I always see graffiti scratched onto the pump screens, and sharpie on some of the walls. I've also had some unpleasant encounters with some aggressive panhandlers here, so I'd advise you to stay alert. One gentlemen was walking up to every person at a pump, and aggressively asking for money. There is a homeless community right next to the nearby 57 Freeway, so be aware of that... Overall, this place has cheap gas but seems to attract an undesirable crowd. Just a heads up, you'll most likely wait in line for gas and always stay alert here. If you don't feel comfy, there are several other nicer stations just a mile up the road on State College. read more

I love Arco stations. They carry good quality gas at inexpensive prices. The pumps are always well lit, so I always feel safe, even as a woman who travels alone at night quite frequently. You can pay by cash or ATM card at several pay stations located out by the pumps. There is a $.35 fee for using your ATM card, which isn't too bad if you're filling up your tank, but they don't take credit cards so don't even ask. This particular Arco, located on the Southwest corner of Katella and State College Ave across from the Stadium Loft complex, also has a clean and well stocked convenience store filled with all sorts of salty and sweet munchies and all your favorite sodas, energy drinks, juices, and waters. There is a Chase Bank ATM that charges a $3 fee, and they even carry Kettle Chips, a brand you don't always see in convenience stores. The restroom, one room to be used by either gender, was very clean. A sign on the restroom door stated that only one person at a time was allowed in the bathroom, no exceptions! One wonders what happened that caused them to feel they had to post this sign. No, on the other hand, one doesn't! One runs away screaming "La la la la la" while trying to poke out one's mind's eye before one has a chance to speculate too much. Anyway, there were no transients hanging out either while I was in the convenience store or while I was out at the pump as was mentioned in other reviews, so I was all good. read more

I went in to use the restroom after Disneyland, and the restroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned ever. So I let the dude working know that the restroom looks like it hadn't been cleaned in forever, and he snapped at me. Gave me attitude, "YEP, SINCE LAST THURSDAY" It's now Tuesday.. So I said to him that is absolutely effing disgusting, it's part of your job. I was just letting him know that it needed attention. He didn't need to give me attitude. He told me to have a good night very crassly, so I told him to try to be more constructive and also to be happy he has a job. Since cleaning the restroom is apart of your job description, I'd suggest actually cleaning it. ARCO is probably one of my least favorite gasoline stations because they operate on a cash only basis or a debit card. What is worse is that they charge you $.35 convenience fee, which I think is silly. For a large gas company back in the days with BP (got to remember the oil spill) before they sold it to Tesoro, I would have thought that they will allow credit cards, but nope. Being crunched on time and nearly out of fuel, I decided to come here. It was busy, but there was an empty pump number 7 before I scoot up to number 9 since I made a U-turn to 7. I got out of the car and tried to see if I can use the debit card, but I canceled the transaction after it says it will charge $.35 fee. I had $10 in cash, so I went inside and waited in line. The lady in the counter was probably balancing her drawer, which made the service here slow. Anyways, after paying, I ran outside and pumped gas. That is my story with this place today. Also being a cheaper gas, there are people waiting in line both inside the store and the cars right after I made a payment. After pumping, I drove up State College Blvd (going north of ARCO). and I encountered 3 or 4 gas stations at the intersection of Ball Rd. I know next time to stop there when I only have a credit card. TL:DR: I am not a big fan of ARCO (mainly because of cash/debit card), but I had to stop by because I almost ran out of fuel on my car. It remains to be a cheap option and the service was okay. It gets crowded so if you want other gas station brands, you want to make a right at Katella Rd. the exit from I-5N and a left at the State College Blvd. read more

Because this gas station is close to several large attractions and entertainment areas, it is always busy. So you'll always have to expect a wait. There just aren't enough pumps to deal with the demand. Oh yeah, the demand. One reason is because of the location. But another reason so many people choose to come here is because the gas is the cheapest you'll find in the general area. So expect waiting behind a car or two while they are pumping, especially during peak times. If I'm planning on pumping here, I try to go when everyone is at work because you can easily spend 20-30 minutes at this station. The reason for the 2 stars is simply because of the upkeep. Because of such high demand, the entire location feels filthy. You'll never see clean water for the squeegee (which is a pet peeve of mine), the hand sanitizing pumps on the walls have NEVER had any sanitizer inside of them out of all of the times I've visited. And please, don't ever go to their air/water pump station. It reeks so badly of urine and trash (it's right next to their dumpster), that I had to stop what I was doing and go fill up my tires at another station. It was truly disturbing. I typically pay at the pump so I haven't spent much time inside the shop; so this review is mostly centered around the gas pumps, not so much the service inside. read more

This is a more unique Arco. Usually you have to go to a central machine for automated payments, but each of the pumps had their own credit card swipe Love it! It was so convenient. Unacceptable behavior from one of the employees "Alejandra, that's all." She decided to play games because while being on a a rush to get home to my kids after working for 10 hours and feed them dinner, I did not stay straight in front of her to listen to the last word she said and I "walked out on" her. I kept going to my pump 3 times to pump gas and the cash that she took from me was not assigned to my pump. She said she has assigned it to a different pump and that she repeated the number to me, but I didn't listen to her, which is not true because all the pumps were busy and someone would have used my cash at that pump. After she pushed all my buttons by repeating to me the wrong pump while I was speaking very loudly to the point where I have to yell the pump number to her, I came back to see one of her colleagues with the cash in his hand telling me they have the right to refuse service because I was rude. Very passive-aggressive behavior from this employee. I was mad for a few moments and then I just felt so sorry for her, because I wasn't the reason she was behaving like that. I know her life experience and the way she was brought up triggered her actions. Regardless, she was not a playground but in a working environment and as an employee, she should know how address a perceived issue in an acceptable manner.
