As if the unsolicited parenting advice weren't horrible bedside manners as is; The condescending tone/back handed comments about the CHILD who was in pain "Acting out & running all over her mother" are NEVER ACCEPTABLE NOR CALLED FORI have half a mind to call the nursing board & report your sorry @$$& you should be oh so glad I was not there!!

However, the first time I encountered Lee Wallace also proved to be the last time I visited this facility. Lee Wallace is rude, condescending and completely lacking in professionalism. Mr. Wallace did his best to refuse attending to me in person (opting instead to use an intern as his messenger) and emerged only at my specific request to "speak to the doctor." Upon finally meeting me to discuss a bit of labwork in question, he avoided eye contact and said right off the bat, "You still have to pay us, friend," assuming that the nature of my inquiry pertained TO THE COST of the lab fees instead of to what particular results might indicate. What a judgmental, presumptuous little ponce. I have visited this clinic several times over three years, spent several hundred dollars there, and this was the patronizing tone I received from the head physician. I'm glad he wears his motivation on his sleeve and can prove to everyone in the room that money is his top priority. What a true humanitarian. Do yourself a favor: avoid this rude little man like the plague. Lee Wallace is a poor excuse for a physician, and is as patronizing as he is unprofessional. Hopefully he will retire soon. He's old enough.

Stay Away from this place. I was visiting Starkville from out of town and came in for an ear…read moreinfection. I called ahead to make sure they accept my insurance and headed to the office, I get there and again confirm they accept my insurance. After an hour I'm finally brought to a room, they look and tell me it's not infected and will wash my ear out. The physician says he'll be right back and an hour goes by, finally I go out into the office area and the physician is flirting with one of the girls and seems to have forgotten about me. They do their thing and I'm finally leaving after another 30 minutes. A week later I get home and follow up with my normal doctor and it turns out I do have a pretty bad ear infection, she said there's no way that the doctor at state urgent care should have missed it. To top it all off 2 months later I get a bill from collections stating I owe state urgent care $200 this was after I confirmed both over the phone and in person that they accept my insurance. No calls, no email letting me know about the balance, just straight to collections.

I received a text that said I needed to have been in the parking lot when I completed online checkin and that my spot was being canceled and that I could check-in once I got there (there was no instruction of this on the site). I pulled up 4 minutes later and check-in was closed, but the clinic was still open. Walked in and receptionist said they was not seeing any other patients because there were 20 people already in line. We are in the midst of a pandemic in the beginning of a college school year in a college town- medical facilities should be equipped to handle this volume! Did I mention I was there 2 hours before they closed. This is infuriating!
