12/14/2025 As per the website and automated text…read moreconfirmation messages I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, at 6:50 AM. I arrived having already filled out all paperwork and pre-registering online (drivers license, insurance card, etc.). No one was at the business at my arrival. I waited in the cold and at 6:59AM the first of two receptionists showed up and finally opened the door at 7:04, but then (wait for it) she couldn't find my registration! The second receptionist arrived a few minutes later and "found" it, BUT I still had to fill out another form with family, history, etc., WHY was this not part of the online process too?!?! Meanwhile I'm getting more irritated by the second and feeling horrible (hence the reason for my urgent care visit) the nurse practitioner (NP), Kimberly, walked into the building (~7:10AM). I sat stewing for the next 10 minutes and finally around 7:20 and It turns out the first "receptionist , who was actually nurse (Kelsey or Kelby or ??) brought me back to a room where all vitals were taken and ultimately I was swabbed and tested for strep, flu,Covid and mono (pricked thumb/blood test) . At 7:29AM, the NP came in checked my throat and said it was very red (yes, i know... that's WHY I was here st 6:50AM... FOR MY 7AM APPOINTMENT!!! Uuuggghhhhhhhhhjhh). At 7:50 Kimberly (who by the way is actually extremely pleasant and knowledgeable). explained that I clearly had an infection but thankfully not one of the ones listed above, so she gave me a steroid shot and a rx for prednisone. She also said to give her a call back within 3-4 days if that is still not effective. Welp, I sure hope so! Recap: - arrived early, no one here - finally seen by NP at 7:30AM (I am first appt and no one else was here) - told I have a very red throat at 7:30AM-7:50AM all tests negative so given short and long acting steroids (a shot and a prescription for prednisone) Two point deduction for late arriving staff and setting up the expectation that arriving as instructed 10 min *ahead of the 7AM appointment * would ensure a smooth experience and being promptly seen. Granted I was seen fairly quickly BUT staff arriving AT 7AM isn't cool.

This was about the 5th time I have been to Express Care in the last 12 months and i have never had…read moreto wait more than 5 minutes. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. Both of the Nurse Practitioners were attentive, compassionate and prescribed exactly what was needed to eliminate the symptoms and get me back to normal. Never have I been so pleased with any medical office. Highly recommend!
