This is the only urgent care I trust in Starkville! I came here probably once a year throughout college for sickness including once to get stitches after an injury - the staff and nurses were always very helpful and it didn't feel like I was being rushed out. Its always clean and quick service read more

Stay Away from this place. I was visiting Starkville from out of town and came in for an ear infection. I called ahead to make sure they accept my insurance and headed to the office, I get there and again confirm they accept my insurance. After an hour I'm finally brought to a room, they look and tell me it's not infected and will wash my ear out. The physician says he'll be right back and an hour goes by, finally I go out into the office area and the physician is flirting with one of the girls and seems to have forgotten about me. They do their thing and I'm finally leaving after another 30 minutes. A week later I get home and follow up with my normal doctor and it turns out I do have a pretty bad ear infection, she said there's no way that the doctor at state urgent care should have missed it. To top it all off 2 months later I get a bill from collections stating I owe state urgent care $200 this was after I confirmed both over the phone and in person that they accept my insurance. No calls, no email letting me know about the balance, just straight to collections. read more

My child displayed symptoms of COVID-19, so I went online to check-in, which I've done before with prior visits. I received my place in line (23rd) and was en route to the clinic. I received a text that said I needed to have been in the parking lot when I completed online checkin and that my spot was being canceled and that I could check-in once I got there (there was no instruction of this on the site). I pulled up 4 minutes later and check-in was closed, but the clinic was still open. Walked in and receptionist said they was not seeing any other patients because there were 20 people already in line. We are in the midst of a pandemic in the beginning of a college school year in a college town- medical facilities should be equipped to handle this volume! Did I mention I was there 2 hours before they closed. This is infuriating! read more

State Urgent Care - Text message from Clinic - Urgent Care Near Me - Starkville, Mississippi

This was one of the fastest and easiest clinic visits that I have ever been to. My daughter was sick and everything was so efficient and expedited. I entered all of our information into the iPad, waited for them to call her name, filled out three papers, paid the copay, and was called back. The wait time was incredibly short compared to other places we've been to. Everyone was sooo friendly too. I would especially like to thank them for listening to us and to what we thought was actually wrong with my daughter and not rushing us out. For a doctor's visit, best clinic ever. read more

Urgent care has really become our primary care giver for small and medical needs like allergic reactions or treating the flu. Staff is always knowledgeable and helpful in diagnosis and treatment. read more

Only giving two stars because I have been here multiple times and they were great. However, this was probably my last visit. I went in with strep symptoms and I usually get it this time of year. I have been vaccinated for covid as well as I have had covid before. I told them I did not want to test for covid because I knew this was either sinuses or either strep. My nurse puts me into a room and the nurse practitioner (Billy Chandler) comes in and tries to get me to take the test. I said no because I know even if I test positive they're just going to not be able to treat me and just give me the same medicine I would be getting now. I wasn't planning on being around anyone anyways until I was feeling better. He leaves me immediately says it's just an upper respiratory infection and goes to bad mouth me to the nurses. "I tried my best, she wouldn't take the test. Oh well it's people like her that keep my business drumming." They had what seemed a 5 minute long conversation bad mouthing me. It's very unprofessional when you can hear the people giving you care talk about you in a bad manner. It's my body and I'm being careful I was not going to be around anyone. If I choose not to take a test that my choice. Just overall very unprofessional. read more

I am not one to take to yelp ,but after the lack of service at SUC I felt it was my duty. I was there for a simple excuse that they said was ready for me when I got there. I was told to sit down in a empty waiting room until my document was printed. After 45 minutes, I still sat there ,in an empty waiting mind you, waiting for my document to be printed. After the receptionist looked up from her computers and said, "oh you're still here". She proceeded to tell me that I would need to come back the next day. Why could she tell me that over the phone when I originally called her? Or told me that when I got there an hour before? Unreal. read more

Every time I come here, they diagnose and treat me with quality service all around. Super thankful for the team and relatively quick service. Also, the Covid protocols put in place are AWESOME (check in online and get a spot in line on the way.. thank me later). read more

I will never be going back here again. I understand that we are in a pandemic but that doesn't mean you neglect your patients and only look for COVID. I was seen 3 times in the matter of a week. I was only tested for COVID and sent home every time( all tests came back negative). I ended up in the hospital with septic shock, hypoxemic lung failure, and a right atrial thrombus. I was in the hospital for 24 days, 18 in ICU, 11 on life support, and 9 in a coma all because my care was neglected. Instead of looking for something else that could have been the problem, everything had to be the stupid pandemic. read more

State Urgent Care told me that they take Tricare, but they aren't even in Tricare's network. They sent a bill to collections without even trying to contact me. I can't believe this is how they treat service members and their families. Don't bother calling their finance office because they will not answer, and the collections agency they use is sketchy at best. read more

My last visit there will be my last! I had a pulled muscle and it was bad. I asked them to please check to see if my insurance would cover a pulled muscle and she went back and talked with someone came back and said yes it will just cost you the co-pay of $25. I went back and the Dr. I came I. For two minutes asked about the pain and where it was. Said it was a pulled muscle prescribed some muscle relaxer and left. 2 minutes! Fast forward a year later tonight I decide to check my credit score and apparently I owe them $232.00 for the visit after they told me it would only be $25. My credit score has tanked 47 points because there billing co. Never made contact with me they just turned it over to collections who has not contacted me. I have the same phone number I have had for 20 years and the same address for 8 years. I will never use them again because they lied and it has cost me a lot of credit. I don't feel I owe them a dime because I specifically asked them about the price and insurance. Do not trust these people. read more

I have been going here for three years now and have nothing but positive things to say about them. They genuinely care, and are so concerned in being sure to get exactly what you need. They get you in to see someone so fast and listen to everything you have to say. 100% recommend. read more

staff is okay. when you get in there its quick. but they make you wait in you're car for 2 hours or more while you wait you're turn. it's ridiculous honestly. it's fine if there is a wait but do not make me wait in my own car wasting my own gas for who knows how long. I'm still in my car waiting, while writing this. Please figure out a better way to handle this. read more
