This was my first time checking out Amor although I've passed by tons of times. It's a really cute place once inside with nice ambiance that suits the name. We were there for happy hour so there were lots of drinks specials. We opted for the buckets and with a $50 spend you get a hookah. Our server was pleasant, maybe not the most attentive however but it wasn't much of an issue. The drawback for me was when we asked to purchase additional coals, we were told that's not an option but instead we'd have to get a refill which was $67. So that's the catch since essentially you would in fact be paying for two hookahs. That made no sense to any of us so we kindly declined. Paid our check and went around the corner to Victory for a $30 happy hour hookah. That may be something that should be revisited.

Okay so if yall want hip hop music then definitely come here! Came here on a Thursday night playing r&b jams majority of the night with a little hip hop mixed in. It's a lounge with hookah and good, but beware the hookah is $80

Came out on a Friday. DJ was good, drinks were definitely doing their job, but the food was just okay. I ordered the wings, quesadillas, and jerk chicken empanadas. The empanadas were alright, the wings were actually good, and the quesadillas were pretty average. China, our server, was cool and made sure we were taken care of. I will say though, their hookah rule is a bit ridiculous. You're not allowed to get refills during the "deals," which was annoying.

Came here for happy hour and it was definitely a vibe. During HH they have a special where you can get free hookah with a minimum purchase of $50. Loved the vibes and the decor. The hookah hit like it was supposed to. The food was on point and brought it up to a 4 star rating. The garlic parm wings were ok but I definitely recommend the mango habanero wings and the mozzarella sticks. I had an adult pouch; I think my drink was a head cracker. It was sweet with a little punch. Definitely enjoyed Did not love that you have to pre pay and on top of that there's an automatic service gratuity added. So you're basically paying for your food, drinks and gratuity without really receiving any services yet. Luckily our server was very nice bc usually for me the service lacks when a fee is automatically added. Also, you can't open a tab so you have to Order everything at once or if you decide you want more items later you will have to pay the fees again. If I had to guess I would say the owner is from NY. Also Did not love that water costs $10 or how small the Shirley temple was. So tiny and overpriced. Be aware NO EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS All in all my experience was good and I will be supporting this business

The worst for so many reasons. Bartenders are so unfriendly, service is awful. Lack of overall integrity and quality.

Instead, I stumbled upon Koana Tiki Bar--a hidden little chamber of tropical enchantment tucked away from the ordinary world. As Miami's only tiki bar, Koana is surprisingly well themed. It is a smaller establishment, which explains why reservations are required, but the intimate setting only adds to the charm. Once inside, the outside world seems to disappear beneath warm lighting, exotic décor, and the unmistakable feeling that something mysterious is being prepared behind the bar. The food is available, but Koana truly shines through its drink menu. The team has clearly done its research and assembled some serious heavy hitters. My companions and I visit whenever we're in Miami, and we've sampled nearly every drink on the menu. I have yet to encounter a bad one. They are fairly priced for Miami, though their strength should not be underestimated. These are not casual refreshments--they are potent little potions disguised as tropical cocktails. The staff is always kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. They're happy to explain the drinks and guide you toward something that suits your taste, whether you seek something sweet, sour, smoky, fruity, or powerful enough to summon your ancestors. During my visit, I combined several ingredients from the menu into a highly experimental concoction. After one sip, my allergies vanished completely. After the second, I could smell colors. By the third, I was convinced the palm trees were speaking to me in ancient tongues. I have no idea what was in that drink, but my sinuses were clear, my spirit was elevated, and I briefly achieved enlightenment beneath a decorative tiki mask. Reservations are essential, the drinks are strong, and the bar is small--but Koana is absolutely worth seeking out. Just be certain you're prepared for whatever spirits may answer when you raise your glass.

Guess the insight here is Kaona draws folks who so totally want to be there and participate in the nightly celebrations that it becomes contagious, spreading from table to table with smiles, laughter, and cameras. Oh yeah, and did I mention the cocktails? I feel the term 'artisan' is so overused nowadays that I avoid using it, so can we just go with the Bill & Ted description that Kaona's tiki drinks are "Most Excellent!" Will non Gen-Xers get that last reference???

It's located in the heart of Brickell close to Brickell City Centre and next to Talkin' Tacos. I've passed it many times and never been before. Our comedy show was at 9pm so we got there early and you enter a bar area with a small dance floor and DJ booth. The door guy told us to wait next to the doors by DJ booth. They opened the doors a little after 9pm and let us in. There's this whole other room in the back with tons of seating, a stage and bar area. Some of the decor felt a bit outdated, but it was still a cool vibe nonetheless. The space is so big and has so much potential for improvement, We snagged seating in the middle area. There were several cozy couples seating in front of the stage but 2nd row, we didn't want to get picked on the entire night. Lol. The two main hosts of the comedy show looked like they worked at Blackbird Ordinary as they had staff jackets on. They were in our opinion, the FUNNIEST!!! Everyone also got free shots with their tickets. Nice bonus! Lemondrop shots!!! Whew, it's been a hot minute since I did shots. Ha. After they started the show, they introduced several local or out of towner comedians and honestly, it was a good diverse crew of comedians. I wish we got a list of the comedians as I would like to check out their social media pages or follow them. Overall, we had such a good time and laughed so hard our faces hurt. This comedy show was like a hidden gem. Glad we found them and would love to come back and check out other comedians.

I strolled in on a Thursday afternoon and they had a happy hour of buy 1, get 1. It was a chill vibe for a Thursday but I enjoyed it bc I really came just for 1 cocktail. The blackbird drink is always my drink of choice, I love the presentation and how the cocktail stays cold up until you finish it. The service was great, the bartenders were very friendly. This place is usually busier whenever I come on the weekends but it's still a vibe during the week as well. The bartenders stated that during the week, they switch up whether the inside or outside is open. Although, on the weekends but the inside and outside patio are open. When this is going on, there are 2 different genres of music playing. It's funny because when you're inside and then walk outside, it's like you're walking into another dimension because of the change in music. I love it though! If you're in the Brickell area, you've got to check them out!

I have never written a Yelp review, but this experience deserves one. If I could give Sugar more…read morethan five stars, I absolutely would. My friends and I were celebrating my sister's birthday, and unfortunately the night wasn't going as planned and everyone including my sister was getting upset... I became overwhelmed, and before I even had to ask for help, two waitresses came over with napkins and asked if I was okay. A few moments later, Kirsten, the manager , came over, sat with me, gave me a hug, and genuinely listened while I explained what was going on. She didn't rush the conversation or make me feel like just another customer...she truly cared. She even invited me on a walk around the restaurant to help me calm down, reassuring me the entire time that everything was going to be okay. She showed me the beautiful Tea Room and encouraged me to bring my friends and sister over to enjoy it. That ended up being the highlight of our night. The views, atmosphere, and hospitality completely changed the mood for our entire group. From there, every member of the staff continued to make us feel welcome. The bartender kept us laughing, celebrated with us by pouring shots, and made the experience so much fun. The front host (I'm so sorry I forgot your name!) also checked in on us and made sure we were having a great time. Even the security guard went above and beyond... he held his flashlight up while we were taking pictures so we could have the best lighting for our photos. It may seem like a small gesture, but it perfectly showed how every single person on the team genuinely cared about making our night special. Before we left, Kirsten came back one last time just to make sure everyone was happy... I've been to a lot of restaurants, lounges, and clubs, but I've never experienced service like this, seriously. The staff at Sugar don't just provide great service... they genuinely care about people. That level of kindness is rare and honestly brings tears to my eyes, and it's something I'll never forget. Thank you, Kirsten, and the entire Sugar team, for turning what could have been a disappointing night into one of the most memorable experiences my friends, my sister, and I have ever had. We'll definitely be back. Thank you, genuinely.

When in Miami for a bachelorette party and you're the maid of honor, you have a lot of planning to…read moredo! The first restaurant I chose was Sugar, the rooftop bar. I coordinated ahead of time with the night manager regarding a prix fixe menu that included drinks for our group of 20 ladies. When we arrived, there was unfortunately some confusion. From our prior conversations, I don't recall it being explained that it would be more of a sit-and-stand dinner setup. The space itself was beautiful, but it felt more suited for cocktails rather than a seated dinner for a large group. We were offered another option at the Tea Room on the other side, which had more dining space. I will say the food was excellent--Asian tapas-style cuisine and everything we tried was very good. However, there still weren't enough seats for everyone, and two bridesmaids and I ended up standing for most of the dinner. They did eventually bring out two chairs, but by that point I was already a bit frustrated. Another challenge was communication with the staff. We were being charged for sparkling water when we had asked for regular water, which should have been included with our meal. I also had to remind them that our package included two drinks per person. The drinks came out slowly, while the food came out quickly. I understand accommodating a group of 20 can be challenging, and overall everything worked out with a few bumps along the way. That said, the food really was excellent. I would definitely come back but with a much smaller group or for a date night.
