Norm the owner has been in business forever. Although they stopped selling firearms a while back and instead sold airguns and ammunition, they are now selling firearms again too. They have a wide selection of ammo, airguns, firearms, AR parts and accessories, as well as targets, mounts, optics, red dots, and all kinds of other things. There is lots of stuff packed in that small store. The prices are fair on some things and great on others. The staff is always willing to help you find what you want and to bullshit a little bit. Came in the other day looking for some ammunition. The guys behind the counter were very friendly and took the time to show me what I was looking for. I also found a couple of really nice shirts which I will post the pictures of in the review. I have to say that the four people that were working behind the counter and the floor are all friendly and went above and beyond to help me with any questions I had regarding any handguns and rifles. Their rightful room which has new and used rifles it setup so that you can get a better look at rifles upfront and personal a really great touch! Bought a Para Ordnance 1911 GI LTC for $720! This place has a weird name since it is primarily a gun store. Highly recommend you change the name of the business?! This is the home of "Stormin Norman" who is the owner. Norman and the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Norman held my gun in the back for a month until I was able to come back up to Ukiah (I live in Mountain View) all because I asked him to. They have an assortment of pistols-Kimbers, Springfields, Rock Island, Deringers (SP?), revolvers, consignment weapons, lever action, shotguns, rifles, accessories, and more. I was a bit anxious about my first visit to a gun shop, but this place dispelled those fears. They were busy, but Richard immediately asked if I needed help, was very attentive to my questions and allowed me to handle the pistols I was interested in without my having to ask. I recently bought a firearm from NWE. I was very happy with the experience. (many of my friends recommended this place) The staff seemed to enjoy helping the customers and are very knowledgeable. I asked some questions that the person helping me was unsure of the answer. Other staff were happy to quickly help out. I have been to many gun shops and this shop really stands out as a good place to do business. The only "attitude" and "vibe" I felt was that my patronage was appreciated. I will add that I'm not talking about staff that say the right things just because they are "stuck" helping you, theses people really enjoy what they are doing. My name is Carlos C., I'm 25 years old from Ukiah ca. I was hesitant to walk into NWE Guns and Ammo Store all because of a post that Troy A. from Colton, CA posted saying how raciest these people are to people of color. Being 100% Mexican and a legal resident, (Not yet a citizen) I expected to be treated differently even ignored. That was not the case. The two gentlemen greeted me as soon as I entered even though there were costumers ahead of me. I told them what kind of budget I was working with and what kind of rifle I was looking for. They showed me the weapon and let me handle it before making my decision. They answered all my questions and where very helpful. Made me feel very much at home. There was no racism or any kind of prejudice involved. Did not treat me like a thug or look at me in such a manner.
