Before paying for…read morethe buffet, we were able to walk around and check out the food, and everything looked fresh. Nothing seemed dried out or like it had been sitting too long. The customer service was great from the start. The woman helping us was kind, helpful, and walked us through the options. Since it wasn't busy, we were able to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant was also very clean and well-kept. The buffet was $25 per person and included all-you-can-eat food plus drinks like mango lassi, canned sodas, and water. They also had Indian beer available for an add't $5. Everything we tried was delicious. The Chicken 555, their house special, was amazing with the perfect mix of chili and spices. The garlic naan was fluffy and fresh, and both the butter chicken and tikka masala were excellent + their other options. The owner, was also very welcoming and attentive. He checked in often to see if we needed anything, and when the garlic naan ran out, he let us know a fresh batch was coming. Once it was ready, he brought it straight to our table. I'd highly recommend this place. The food was fresh, the quality was great, the restaurant was clean, and the service made the experience even better. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back with friends.

That clue should've warned me to go elsewhere. When I arrived, there was only one family dining in the restaurant, and the gentleman who took my order was very polite. One thing that stood out was that I wasn't asked what spice level I wanted. As he packed my order, he mentioned that he included extra samosas because they were small, and he also said something about the curry being better than the vindaloo. I didn't hear him clearly, thanked him, and headed home. After unpacking the food, I realized he had simply substituted our vindaloo with chicken curry without asking me to make the change. We ordered vindaloo because that is what we wanted. If the restaurant was out of it, the appropriate thing to do would have been to ask whether we wanted to choose something else or cancel that item. Deciding for the customer and swapping in a completely different dish is simply not acceptable. The experience also made me wonder whether some of the food had simply been scooped from what was left on the buffet rather than prepared fresh. The curry and samosas tasted as though they had been sitting for a long time. The garlic naan was excellent, although we ordered two and only received one. The chicken curry was so salty that each of us took only a spoonful before throwing the rest away. The samosas were dry and lacked flavor. The tikka masala was decent, but it was not enough to salvage the meal. We ultimately had to find something else for dinner. I'm not sure what changed. We ate here a few years ago and really enjoyed the food, which is why we came back. This visit was nothing like our previous experience, and it was disappointing because we remember the restaurant being much better. I hope this was just an off day and that they'll return to the quality we experienced before.

Spice Social in Fullerton delivered a refined and memorable dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance is elegant, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. It strikes a balance between modern sophistication and comfort, making it well suited for an intimate dinner, a relaxed evening with friends, or a polished casual outing. The food was excellent. Each dish was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. What elevated the experience even further was the service. The hospitality was exceptional, and the owner personally took the time to come over, greet us, and ensure that everything was to our liking. That level of attentiveness added a gracious and personal touch that made the evening feel even more special. One of the standout qualities of Spice Social is its broad appeal. It is an excellent introduction for diners who may be less familiar with Indian cuisine, as the menu feels approachable while still offering depth and authenticity. There is a subtle contemporary influence in some of the flavors and presentation, which makes the experience especially appealing to those who appreciate familiar elements alongside traditional Indian delicacies. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend it at any time.

This restaurant has been on my list for a while. Finally came for a lunch date…read more I was excited for some authentic masala chai. It was not impressive but I didn't complain. Service was not warm to start, but it got worse after they brought me overcooked salmon when I ordered Chilean sea bass. I told them there was a mistake and the waiter tried to convince me it was sea bass. Sea bass is white and salmon is pink with a completely different texture. He did not apologize but returned my salmon to the kitchen. Good thing I ordered garlic naan which ended up being my lunch. It was good. They even included jalapeños on it at my request. It's actually hard to overcook sea bass but they managed it. A lady came by and did apologize saying something about the fish being lost in her translation. Her English sounded perfect to me. I just smiled and said it was ok but I could smell the fish coming before it hit the table. Super fishy. But maybe it would be ok. I took a bite and another just in case I had it wrong but it tasted old. Chilean sea bass is supposed to have a buttery soft texture. It just smelled, tasted and felt old. I let her know. She went and told the waiter who I could see shaking his head. He didn't return to serve us. She closed out the bill and removed the fish at my request. If that was it I would not have left this review because cooks have off days sometimes and there are hundreds of restaurants I've eaten at that just don't need a review. But the attitude I got was uncalled for. She said they served 3 and nobody else complained. Well that was awkward. After 3 they should have known the difference between salmon and sea bass. I really enjoy Indian food. Just not going to enjoy it here. I hope this review helps other diners.

As someone formerly employed in dining & hospitality so I can give grace for this, especially as they work on really getting their business going, I hope you will too. The place is big and near CSUF (Edit: please note that I removed that this place serves alcohol after the owner clarified they don't, and the beer taps are just a relic of the former business). The pizza was "New York style" with Desi drip. Lots to manage on the pizza so this isn't an easy hold, fold, and eat kinda pizza. I know this may offend some, but I ate mine with a fork and a knife. Sorry, not sorry, my hands were cleaner than they would have been otherwise! Pizzas are all good but, honestly?, the wings were the standout for me. We got some garlic honey wings and they were plump and meaty, so much so that my sister, who normally gets grossed out with bone-in wings, ate and enjoyed them, too! The guy working was super friendly and even brought us an order of complimentary garlic bread. Give this place a try. This whole Desi/Indian pizza thing is about to take off, mark my words.

So when this place opened, we made the drive to finally try it... and I swear, this is the most authentic Pakistani food in all of SoCal. FINALLY -- a 100% authentic Pakistani restaurant has arrived here. The owners and staff are absolutely wonderful, and the service is outstanding. The Peshawari Mutton Karahi is out of this world phenomenal, the Nihari is hands-down the best I've had in California, and the Chicken Tikka was perfect. Their prices are surprisingly competitive for the area, which makes the experience even better. We are genuinely so excited that an amazing, truly Pakistani restaurant has opened here. We've waited so long for something this good -- and this place exceeded every expectation. Highly, highly recommend!

It appears to be family run and there was no one to welcome us in or tell us where to sit or how to order for about 10 minutes so we seated ourselves. It didn't help that the goth daughter was extremely strange or introverted and non communicative. The owner and workers also didn't seem friendly to outsiders if you know what I mean. The seating arrangement is terrible as they set up for large tables (visitors appear to come in large sizes/families) and you get stuck behind the chairs due to poor spacing. Since there might not be many options, I think they receive very good business from Muslims and halal eaters. In terms of food, I don't think I liked it and it gave me extreme heartburn and I love spicy food. The popper/bread is too oily for me, they don't offer garlic naan for their buffets. Sadly they also did not include the spinach dish either. The offerings were mainly meat dishes which were just ok to me (I didn't really think it was BBQ as described, more like pan seared). The 3 items that I was good with were the saucy stewed beef, the BBQ seared chicken breast (although texture was strange on some), and the mango drink which had mango chunks and not the premade stuff that is really heavy. Would I come back? Likely not... unfortunately I didn't find anything that I would crave. I felt that it was more expensive than Indian food, perhaps the halal meat is more expensive? But at Indian buffets it's slightly cheaper or they offer things like champagne, and items that I prefer like garlic naan, more vegetables dishes, and curry. Maybe Pakistani isn't my jam?
