    10 thumbs down

I'll start by saying this, these are very nice people. However I cannot stand this place. It's outrageously over priced for restaurants depot quality food. I just walked out paying 9.78$ for a bacon egg and cheese with hot sauce and a bottle of water. Maybe if it wasn't such a skimpy sandwich it would be worth it. But I've been in Hastings for 10 years and since day 1 I've had this problem. I've order a 4 egg sandwich and walked out paying 18$ before it's a slap in the face to the community. Do better, here's a pic of the Sam that I just got robbed for. Sad thing is there's basically no other option without leaving Hastings.

They have pretty good to go food. It adds variety and a good balance to the choices in Hastings.

Jersey Mike's Subs has easily become my go-to spot for a consistently great sandwich. Every visit…read morereminds me why I keep coming back. My regular order is the #6 Roast Beef with Provolone. I skip the "Mike's Way" and go with my own style: a light touch of lettuce (otherwise they'll load it up!), onions, jalapeños, salt and pepper, and mayonnaise. Every now and then I'll add bacon, but honestly, it's perfect as is. I usually go for the regular or the giant--because it's just that good. My father-in-law is just as loyal to his order as I am to mine. He always goes for the giant Ham and Swiss with tomato, lettuce, and a drizzle of oil. Simple, consistent, and always done right. What really makes this location stand out, though, is the service. The team here brings a level of warmth and energy that you don't see everywhere. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with genuine smiles and conversation. They take the time to remember you, and that kind of personal connection goes a long way. Akin's energy greets me without missing a beat. Louis is always smiling, saying hello, and even asking how I'm doing--and sometimes how my father-in-law is doing when he's not with me. Joe keeps the team spirit going strong, while Randy and Natalia are always welcoming and engaging. Willow and Anthony are consistently putting in the work, and Luigi took the time to walk me through the different types of hams by name and always greets me with a smile. Even the team members whose names I don't know yet contribute to that same great atmosphere--and I appreciate them just as much. I've also noticed the owner making rounds, checking in with customers and creating a welcoming environment. It's a small touch that makes a big impact--and the occasional warm cookie doesn't hurt either. And I'll be honest--I make it a point to stop in on Wednesdays because of the double points (whether I order online or in-store). I like to save my points... lol! You can tell there's real pride here, both in the quality of the sandwiches and the relationships they build with their customers. Great food, great people, and a place that truly feels welcoming every time. This location is doing it right.

Very disappointing for $15.00 Also one of the workers cut his hand with the knife and just stood there. Any safety training there or repeating the order if you are unsure what to include.

There's something special about walking into an old-school Italian deli that still feels like home,…read moreand Bella Vista Deli is exactly that. One of the few authentic old-time Italian delis still standing in Yonkers, this place brings you right back the second you walk through the door. From the hot cooked foods and buffet, to the cold sandwiches and signature creations, everything here feels classic and genuine. They even sell fresh bread and slice it for you with the old-school bread slicing machine like the good old days. That alone tells you everything you need to know about this place. One of my absolute favorites is the "1 and 1" bacon, egg & cheese on a roll -- one slice of American cheese and one slice of fresh mozzarella. I get mine well done with salt and pepper and it hits every single time. Their "New York Style Chopped Cheese" on a club roll is also spot on. Another must-try is their signature sandwich called "Glen's Way" -- chicken salad with bacon mayo, lettuce, and tomato. Unreal. Add in the huge selection of juices, Italian cookies, chocolates, and specialty items, and you could spend time just looking around enjoying the atmosphere. But what really makes Bella Vista special is the people. Vinny, Anthony, and Jesus, and the rest of the crew are great guys who truly make you feel welcomed. The hospitality they've shown my family and me has always been top notch. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where the personalities are raw, the Yonkers accents are authentic, and underneath it all is genuine kindness and community. Old-school New York deli vibes are hard to find these days, but Bella Vista still keeps that spirit alive. Located right across from Sky Zone Trampoline Park on the strip. Highly recommend.

I love the Stew Leonard experience!…read more My daughter especially loves pushing all the buttons to animate the random characters and songs throughout the store. She also likes pushing the mini shopping cart around. There is so much to choose from and there is so much space. Every time I have been it was not crowded. I was very skeptical of their lobster roll, but I tried it. It was actually reallly good. There was a good amount of lobster, butter made it even better, and my daughter ate most of it. So, we had to buy another one. Also, the soft serve ice cream! It is cheap and rich and creamy. I always go back when I can.

Stew Leonard's in Yonkers isn't just a grocery store... it's basically a field trip for adults…read more From the moment you walk in, you realize this is not your average "run in, grab milk, get out" kind of place. Nope. This is a "let me just grab one thing" that somehow turns into a full-on adventure. First stop--the candy shop . I'm not even ashamed to say it brought out my inner kid immediately. Bright colors, endless options... you go in for groceries and suddenly you're debating how many snacks is too many snacks (answer: there is no such thing ). Then you hit the hot food area . The soup bar was steaming like it had something to prove, and everything looked fresh and ready to warm your soul. Perfect for those "I don't feel like cooking today" days... which, let's be honest, is most days. Now let's talk about the pizza station --because WOW. Fresh pies, great prices, and slices that actually look like they were made with love. This isn't gas station pizza... this is "lemme grab one slice" that turns into two... maybe three The olive bar deserves its own moment. The selection is wild--in a good way. Neatly organized, tons of variety, and somehow it makes you feel classy while scooping olives into a container like you know what you're doing. Then you slide over to the butcher section ... clean, premium cuts, and everything looks like it belongs in a steakhouse. If you mess up dinner with meat like that, it's not the store's fault--it's yours The fresh cut fruit section is another win--colorful, fresh, and ready to go. Healthy choices were definitely whispering my name... I just chose not to listen for a little while longer And the dairy section? Rows on rows of fresh milk with that farm-style vibe --it almost makes you feel like you should be wearing overalls while shopping. To top it all off, I grabbed a drink and just stood there for a second taking it all in . Clean store, great layout, and an overall vibe that actually makes grocery shopping enjoyable... which is rare. I could write so much more about this store this review will turn into a novel. I will say whoever came up with the strategic idea of having no aisles, like standard grocery stores, is a hero in the super market industry. The set up doesn't allow you to miss anything in the store. If you shop, you have to travel through every section in a winding, one-way, one-road, colorful and exciting journey through the land of Oz. From the entrance to the cash registers there is no way to skip over anything. Must-see-marketing! Bottom line: Stew Leonard's turned a simple grocery run into an experience. You come in for milk and leave with snacks, pizza, olives, and somehow a whole new attitude about grocery shopping Fresh, fun, and dangerously easy to overspend--in the best way possible. 5 stars all day!
