Amity Physical Therapy is a privately owned and operated, outpatient facility with 5 locations in Woodbridge, Hamden, Branford, Milford, and Wallingford Connecticut. Amity PT treats patients of all ages and ability levels. We see patients with orthopedic, neurological, gait, vestibular, women's health, wellness, and sports related dysfunction. Our therapists pride themselves on creating an individualized treatment which encompasses all the specific needs of each patient individually.
With our clinicians trained in advanced manual therapy, evaluation techniques, and exercise prescription, we provide comprehensive care ranging across all patient needs. Our therapists are experts in utilization of techniques such as dry needling, Graston Technique, Laser Therapy, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, McKenzie, Mulligan, Visceral Release, and cupping among many others.

Established in 2004.
Amity Physical Therapy was founded in 2004 by Michael Dow, MSPT. Currently Amity Physical Therapy has grown to have multiple locations, 1 Bradley Rd in Woodbridge, CT, 2320 Whitney Ave in Hamden, CT, 103 N Main St in Branford, CT, 135 Cherry St, Milford, CT, and 316 Main St, Wallingford, CT. We are proud to serve the Greater New Haven and Shoreline communities with the finest in physical therapy services. Amity Physical Therapy also offers Trigger Point Dry Needling, Cold Laser Therapy (Low Level Laser Therapy), and Sports Performance Training.
Our Personal Training division, Amity Fitness, has 2 locations without our Amity PT offices in Hamden at 2320 Whitney Ave and Milford at 135 Cherry St.
Meet the Business Owner: Michael D.
Michael Dow, MSPT is a licensed physical therapist and founder of Amity Physical Therapy & Amity Fitness. He has extensive training in orthopedics, pediatrics, sports consultation, manual therapy, vestibular dysfunction, and golf performance training. Michael graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT with a Master's in Physical Therapy.
In 2000, he was recognized by the US Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, DC for the development of his functional exercise class designed for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In addition to being the clinical director of Amity Physical Therapy, Michael continues to work with local high school and college athletes to reach their sports goals.
Michael is certified by the Titleist Performance Institute as a medical professional. This certification allows him to use the same distinguished evaluation and screening techniques that PGA players use to enhance performance and prevent golf related injury.
