It is operated by a mother and daughter. The daughter selectis merchandise for the north part of the store. I purchased a Chinese spam musibi-shaped night light for a gift. The item was very cheaply made and quickly broke. The store offered an exchange, refund or gift card. The daughter said she sent the night lights back because other customers had broken theirs. The quality of the locally-made items is very good and there is a wide variety of items.

The lady behind the counter who helped me was super friendly and nice. And she wrapped what I bought with a lot of care. I wish I lived in Ashland and could visit them more often. I bought a few of their beautiful leather bookmarks for myself, but they're going so fast because everyone loves them and wants one! I wish they had things they sell in their store on their website too, so I could order more bookmarks, but sadly that's not the case.

I was able to find a device that had been eluding me for weeks: a spiralizer large enough to handle the stupid huge zucchini that my garden churns out every year, and finally, I found success here! I've seen less selection of cooking doo-dads at big box stores, even those that specialize in culinary contraptions. Now, I'm going to have to pray there's a Paddington Station closer to home when I'm looking for the next gadget, or I'll be making frequent trips to Ashland. My wife had similar success, leaving with a dress for herself and our daughter, as well as a couple of cute flower rings. The selection here is almost overwhelming, but if you're like me, and at least *try* to avoid buying everything on Amazon these days, skip the big box stores, and make a stop at Paddington Station. If you can wear it, hang it up, or use it at home, it's probably here. (FYI, Yelp has two entries for this store in Ashland, so if you're experiencing déja vu reading this...now you know why!)

Every year Buggs has been in business I have driven down to spend money locally. This year when I…read moreshowed up there was a nearly $2 fee to use a debit card. The business has a sticky note that says there's a small fee but it is not defined. A small fee is maybe 1-2% of the charge. I will no longer do business here because it's unethical to not be transparent in your fee structure and to charge so much to the majority of your customers. If you are that bad at navigating a payment processor then you have other opportunities to succeed.

Sadly, the old location (where Blue Heron was) is currently vacant. Gayle and I were here last week to find tchotchkes for family Easter Baskets. We discovered lots of cool ideas while looking around here, and purchased a select few which were very well received.
