Bullchef intrigued me immediately as soon as I saw the name of the place I wanted to try it. Bullchef offers classic Filipino comfort food but it's their bulalo they're most famous for and definitely what you should try when you go here. Bullchef offers classic bulalo which is their best-seller but it's their twists on bulalo that keep diners raving. Bullchef offers items like bubalo sinigang, bulalo sisig, and sizzling bulalo. These riffs on the classic bulalo soup are both unique and extra tasty. Another bonus is that Bullchef has huge portions at a cheap price, majority of the meals are less than P200, and that's inclusive of at most 2 cups of rice, such a great deal! Bullchef may not be your first choice as visually it is cramped and more of a karinderya feel but once you try their food you will be coming back constantly.

(Well, the first floor is small, but the 2nd floor supposedly seats larger groups.) I'm not a big fan of Bulalo, so trying their famed dish didn't really do much for me personally. So my word on the matter is untrustworthy. Haha! HOWEVER, other menu items were similarly slightly underwhelming, while others were enjoyable. Their tapa was good. Their kangkong was too submerged in sauce, resulting in an unpleasant soggy texture, and, well, saltiness. Their sisig loaded nachos were a star, as was the bullsisig. My opinion on their food being totally mixed aside, I enjoyed my late night meal here, as the value for money was good, and the place was nearly empty during that time. They've got a veggie burger I want to try, so I'll be going back here!

After month over month of restrictions and worries, Yet it's the weekend, We deserve all the raves!…read moreYayGrilled squid and Bulalo for Luuuunnch-ie! Every bite has all the tangs. The grilled squid is perfect and the beef bulalo was so tender while the meat holds tight to the bone. But when you take a bite, it comes clean from the bone, which is a good thing but I didn't expect that, tbh. And I was happy. Thank you @dinersbulaloofficial for a well-deserved lunch. A 2 to all the chefs behind this perfection. This place is great! Al-fresco wise, the atmosphere is chill and cool and the staffs were friendly. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant in Tagaytay. Their service is unmatched. - - - #YourFoodtographer #FoodGrammerPh #ChewManila #ChibogTayoPh #FilipinoFood #FoodPorn #EatsASmallWorld #EatPilipinas #Food #Foodaholic #FoodForFoodies #FoodiesInternationalChat #FilipinoStyle #FilipinoBreakfastClub #FoodBlogger #FoodBlogFeed #FoodEnthusiast #FoodInfluencerPh #HomeCooking #HomeMade #KitchenHacks #PagkaingPinoy #PanlasangPinoy #PinoyBreakfast #PinoyFoodie #TaraSaSouth #WhatToEatPh #WhatsForBrunch

My uncle took us on a road trip to Tagaytay City and along the way we saw a bunch of restaurants…read morethat offer "bulalo". Bulalo is a traditional Filipino beef shank soup that is popular in this part of the country. I personally chose Diner's Bulalo because they claim to have the best soup in Tagaytay and their dining area offers guests a view of the Taal Volcano (famed as the smallest active volcano in the world). Plus dining at a restaurant overlooking an active volcano has been a pattern for me ever since I was introduced to an Indonesian buffet in Bali that overlooked Mt. Batur. I wanted to have the same experience in The Philippines. Anyway, service here was great! The restaurant got packed fast with locals and foreign tourists so we were lucky enough to get seats with the view! WE ORDERED -------------------- - Beef Bulalo - Their specialty is a must! The beef was tender and they also offer free broth refills. Perfect soup during our windy day adventure in Tagaytay! For dipping I prefer fish sauce with calamansi and a bit of chili for a kick! - Crispy Pata - Crunchy, but not a big fan because some parts were lightly burnt. - Fried Chicken - light batter, but still crunchy and good. - Grilled Stuffed Squid - Simple squid dish stuffed with onions, tomatoes, and herbs. It's marinated with light soy sauce and it's usually dipped in spicy soy sauce with calamansi. Overall, the bulalo did not disappoint! This is a perfect restaurant for out of towners!

I don't normally crave for Bulalo on an ordinary day with this summer weather but Digong's Bulalo…read moreis just an exception. This garage turned kitchen and dinning at the near corner lot of JP Laurel Street ( a food destination in UP), is a hole in the wall. With Bulalo as Digong's specialty, they need not to offer any other dishes anymore. Their menu only varies from different parts of beef and Bulalo servings. The Super Bulalo serves a complete Bulalo dish with a bone marrow and costs for only ₱200.00 (good for 4 to 5 people), while the Bulalo without the bone marrow is ₱130.00. They also have Super Mix, which only includes a small serving of beef chunks and balbakwa for ₱65.00 (good for 1 to 2 persons), Laman (beef chunks only) for ₱55.00, Pata with Laman for ₱65.00 and Balbakwa for ₱35.00. You can see this selection printed on the huge tarpaulin posted on their wall. As inviting as their prices is the steaming hot huge kalderos of Bulalo just right beside the dinning area. The smell of beef stew with its clear broth and spices is just irresistible. And the taste? Dangerously carbo loading! Extra rice, beware! There's something in their recipe that makes their Bulalo different from the usual taste that I know. Some says that they include Sibut and they use Carabeef, that's why it has a dash of asian flavor in soup and sweetness in meat. I recommend you try Digong's Bulalo whenever you're in UP. Rainy days are coming now so this will be perfect!
