My massage therapist, Tako, was absolutely amazing. She listened to exactly what I wanted and needed, and it was perfect. The front desk staff was also fabulous. Had a great experience! I just flew in and was needing to relax. Had been so stressed and tight figured I'd would try this place out since I was staying at hotel. Was able to get in same day. Tako was amazing. She listened to what the muscles needed and she was able to get tension out with deep tissue without hurting me. She is exactly what I needed today. Facilities were nice, in womens locker room there are showers, a steam room as well as locker changing area. Amenities in there are water bottles, makeup remover, hair spray, toothbrush, spray deodorant comb, brush, then all soaps in showers. You are provided slippers and a robe. Massage room comfortable heated table, with ability for bed to raise up a bit for when you are face up. This helped so much I became very congested while face down. I did 80 minutes and will be back. I regret not canceling my reservation when I read the reviews. Don't make my mistake. We did a couples massage with a custom facial and my masseuse seemed like she watched a YouTube video on how to do a massage and then winged it. She consistently put her elbows into my shoulder blades and my KNEE CAP!? I don't understand why I didn't say anything but I paid over $500 to receive the worst massage of my life on my birthday. I wasn't going to tip my masseuse, but guess what, gratuity is already included. The facial was nice and the lady was knowledgeable, but again, not worth the $150. She just said my skin was dehydrated, washed my face, popped my pimples (weird) and put a mask on and then 1 serum with some SPF. I booked a massage and pedicure during my recent LV stay and while the massage was great, the pedicure was left to be desired on so many levels. First off, the manicurist didn't introduce herself unlike the massage therapist. She barely cut and filed my nails and in fact, kept going back and forth between both feet instead of focusing on one foot at a time. I'm not even sure if she cut the cuticles on both feet. She barely used a foot pumice tool on the sides of my big toes, and the heels, and didn't use it at all on the balls of my feet. The foot soak was ok but the foot scrub and massage after, was not as vigorous as I've had on past pedicures. And you know how you usually have your toenails buffed, shaped, and polished with a 3-sided buffing tool just before nail polish is applied? Well, she put the toe separators between my toes before she did any of that, and I actually had to ask her was she going to buff my nails. She did a cursory buffing, but didn't follow with shaping and polishing. What's the very last thing done during the pedicure? The application of the clear and colored nail polishes, right? The very last thing she did after applying the polish was gingerly apply lotion on the bottom of my feet and around my toes so as not to mess up the nail polish, followed by some type of cuticle oil around the nails. Who does that???? In any event, upon checking out, I was asked how the services were, and I let the cashier know I was disappointed in the pedicure. The response I got was "oh, I'm sorry", with no inquiry as to why the service wasn't good or ask, "what can we do to fix the experience." Then as I looked at the bill and noticed they added a service charge, I asked what it was for and was told they automatically add 18% gratuity on the services. I again let the cashier know I was not satisfied with the service and again, all the cashier said was, "I'm sorry." In my career as an IT support desk manager, much of my responsibility was to provide great customer service and if the service didn't meet expectations, figure a way to "recover" the customer's experience. I can tell you had I been that cashier, I would have offered to comp all or part of the service or maybe offer a spa product to make up for the poor experience. Neither was done. I have to say that the lack of attempt to recover the service experience was more off putting than the actual service. Especially when I paid gratuity for poor service. Needless to say, I would not recommend Amina Spa and will not patronize again. read more

I had a 25 minute massage with Holly, who could see my muscles are very tight. It was so relaxing and much needed to have her work on me. I lift weights, so it's just so nice to come in and get a nice massage. Very relaxing and soothing. The poor receptionist was the only one working, and sometimes there'd be a backlog of people waiting for her in the lobby. The facilities are clean and comfortable. I had a fantastic experience at Amina Spa today. Everyone I spoke with and interacted with was friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. They just painted and laid new carpet. It looks very fresh. The steam room was hot & steamy. The shower was deluxe, with multiple nozzles and settings for an epic experience. Towels were abundant and clean. The robe and slippers were cozy. The treatment room was comfortable, nice sheets and lighting. And my massage...ugh - heaven. Virginia is a skilled therapist. She was attentive and communicative. Strong and gentle. Very intuitive. In short, Virginia is an exemplary massage therapist. I would be happy to have her as my regular therapist. We booked the Orange-Juniper massage. We got there and relaxed in the lounge. The women's locker room had everything needed from toothbrushes to make up remover. They thought of everything. I didn't try out the steam room since we had to get back to our room. I was lucky enough to get Jay. Let me tell you. He gave me the best massage I've ever had!!!! Not only did he put me at ease and get me to relax, he worked on my shoulder that had been bothering me for months. He fixed it!!! I'm on day two and my shoulder isn't bothering me anymore. He's a miracle worker!!!! From the essential oils they used, the heated table, the lighting in the couple's room. It was all perfect. I only wished I would have researched more and gotten the whole couple's experience with the soak before the massage. This place is a little older, but they've done an awesome job remodeling it both keeping nostalgic feel while giving it a modern update. The prices are very reasonable. The service is top notch. I scheduled a full body hot stone massage on my birthday for a relaxing experience and it was unfortunately the opposite of that. I wanted a full spa experience so I went for the hotel spa instead of a walk in massage place. I have had a few spa days in my life with much better service and effort to make a nice experience... for much less money. I wanted access to a steam room and relaxing ameneties and to give myself a really nice birthday. When I got there I found out that the steam room was actually broken and that would be off the table, when I said something they dismissed me. My therapist asked me what he should focus on and I told him my back.... He ended up spending maybe 5-7 minutes at the end of the massage on my back. Up until then he very aggressive and fast with my arms and legs even though I told him I was in pain and where I needed focus. I asked him to slow down the strokes and he seemed to not like that and went on to dig very hard into obvious knots in my legs. I was lifting my hips off the table in pain. I happen to be in the bodywork field and it is very obvious when people have knots and are uncomfortable but he didn't seem to know or care. For the price the experience was piss poor at best, the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that the manager somewhat attempted to fix the problem but she was passive aggressive about it and made it seem like my issue was a preference issue and not an actual valid issue, she gave me a complimentary 25 minute back only massage and that therapist was much better and very intutuitive with my back. It helped somewhat with my back but unfortunately My legs had been assaulted so aggresssively that I was in pain the rest of the trip and unable to do all the things I had planned. Brianna checked us in with a smile the entire time. Carl took excellent care of my husband in the men's spa while Frances took excellent care of me in the women's spa. First, I want to say that the employee Hannah was super sweet. At came to the spa and got a mini facial for $88. I expect to have top quality items used on my face that's not available to the public. They use the brand osmosis and i completely had an allergic reaction to the items. I call them & it's like they refused to apologize and try to make it better in any way. It's my skin. It's like they didn't not even care or felt sincere at all and told me to just make a statement with security. My skin looks terrible and now I'm at home refuse to go out because i am extremely embarrassed to be seen. I had great skin before just a tad bit dry. I am beyond insecure. I went to the dermatologist and was told i had contact dermatitis a form of eczema from the new products that was used on me. I had the pleasure of taking my wife to this spa for her Birthday. Valentine's Day also happens to fall on her Birthday, so I wanted to spoil her a bit. I ended up getting us a 50 minute couples massage and my wife a 50 minute facial as well. It was awesome! From the moment we arrived we were greeted professionally by Brianna. Brianna assisted me with payment. Francis assisted my wife and I initially, by giving us a tour and getting us to our respective areas. Lena, my massage therapist greeted me and escorted my wife and I to our room along with Stacey, who was going to take care of my wife. Lena was attentive and made sure to ask questions when necessary to ensure my comfort. Upon completion, we were treated to chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. My wife went on to receive her facial, while I took advantage of the steam room and showers.
