Yall... when I tell you I was scared to my britches and bones. I was sweating like a fat kid in a candy shop. As a first time pretty kitty waxer I was nervous. Upon walking in, the shop was bright and welcoming. Stefanie was greeting and my soul was soothed like the witch hazel used to calm. If I was "moving too much" why was nothing said to me during the service? She was also in an obvious terrible mood and soon as I was done she shut everything down and slammed the door behind me. Booked an appointment online for a few hours later that evening. Got a confirmation text. When I got there, no one was there and the door was locked. Went back in my car and called a few times... no answer... the least they could've done was let me know and or rescheduled me but having no one there and no one even answer my call is just unacceptable. Never having been to a wax salon, it was an experience. My first Brazilian and my experience was amazing. The front check-in area was very clean and comfortable. It is beautifully furnished. Saanayah is amazing. She made me feel very comfortable and explained everything to me and exactly what was happening. It was very painful, but I was not going to give up! I got tired of SOSwax's high turnaround rate, every time I'd find a new esthetician they'd leave. So I decided to try this place and the first wax was great! The girl was super nice and did great. Then by the time my second appointment comes around I'm notified she's gone.. same issues as the last place. I set up another appointment with someone else but the service was a lazy/rushed job. She used baby powder and I feel like that made the whole thing more painful cause of the drying effect I didn't have a chance to say no to her applying that product cause she moved so fast I realize it till after. She would go over the same area over and over again making it more painful and irritating on my skin. I could tell she was rushing through it not waiting for the wax to fully adhere and pressing in like I've experienced before. At the end of the service I saw sooo much hair left over in the general bikini area, I asked her about it and she said it's "considered inner thigh" .. mind you I've been getting waxed for 5 years now and I have NEVER heard of that before! Like I really didn't think it would be that big a deal to remove it based on such a small technicality but I left it alone cause i decided I'd look it up later online and she was very wrong.. that area is definitely covered by the service. When I got home i noticed there was soooo much hair left over everywhere else that is MOST DEFINITELY covered by the service. It looked like I was waxed by a trainee. It was such a crap job. Not worth the $75+ I paid at all. I know she said she was busy and they have been short staffed but when a service is that expensive your client is paying too much for such a bad service to be done I tried to reach out via text to ask for a manager to help me rectify the situation and I was told I'd hear back. It's been 3 days and I've heard nothing so I'm leaving this honest review. I can't recommend this place having experienced what I have. In the past, I have had pretty good service at the Pretty Kitty. I only come for a wax maybe once or twice per year, usually before I go on vacation. However today, when I arrived for my appointment, with my sleeping 8-month old daughter in her stroller, I was informed about The Pretty Kitty's very strict "no-child allowed" policy. I have never heard about this rule before, ANY time that I have visited any of their locations throughout the 7 years that I have been coming here to get waxed. I have also never seen any signage posted, stating this policy. I was denied service and left without being waxed and feeling extremely frustrated. I'm totally ok with a company having a policy such as this, but I'm not ok with not being aware of it and never seeing any signage posted, listing such a strict policy anywhere in 7 years! I could have made other arrangements had I known beforehand, instead of interrupting my baby's normal nap schedule, to go out in 115 degree Vegas heat, only to be denied my appointment just hours before I'm supposed to board a flight out of town!!!!!
