!!!!!SCAM!!!!SCAM!!!!!!SCAM!!!!!SCAM!!!!!!SCAM!!!!!SCAM!!!!SCAM!!!!!…read more Dear City home, I was very excited to purchase your services in hopes to start a new beginning with my family. Moving is always a nerve racking experience, sitting down with George who reassured me him & his team were going to do everything to help me find the perfect home for my family and I. Weeks passed and we found a wonderful apartment in which we were highly interested in. I submitted my paper work to Mercedes who said she would contact me back... Needless to say I never heard back from her. I still continued my search to find a home independently, I found an apartment by myself and contacted City homes to notify them I would no longer be using their services and would need my deposit back...

Then we head over there, they didn't give us a suite number (purposely I suppose) but we found it. When we walked in we told the first cubicle guy that we spoke to Alex. He asked if we spoke to anyone else. We said no. He then started looking around as if someone was watching him or he was being sneaky. That gave it away. He then had us fill out this questionnaire that was pretty basic with no personal Info on it, so we did. He proceed to tell us that the way the company works is that they deal directly with the landlords and GUARANTEE that they'll find a place for us OR GET OUR MONey back. Ok here's the catch, (which I caught onto REAL quick) you pay $200 upfront, they either find you a spot within 90 days or they're refund you $150. So regardless if they find you a spot or not their fee will be either $50 OR $200 BUT they "hold onto" the money for 90 days regardless". Um, NO. Not gonna happen. When I asked how they took payment they said cash or credit/debit but their "machine is down". HAHA YEA OK! Then to make things worse, he never once said his name until we shook hands at the end. I was scanning the place and all "policies" were printed off regular paper?! They said they've been in business for a year at the location. Really?! Then why aren't their signs or business cards with your name on it instead of looking like you made them at home? They didn't even have a name on them! Just the business name And number. SUPER SKETCHY! This "Alex" guy then proceeded to tell us that they were there until 430 pm and we could go to the bank and bring back the money. HA!!! This fool was crazy. I don't know who would actually think this business was legitimate but STAY AWAY!! Glad I did my research on them first!

When I first reached out to Honest Legal Services LLC, I wasn't looking for perfection -- I was…read morelooking for someone who would actually show up. Someone who would answer the phone, acknowledge the urgency of my situation, and treat my case like it mattered. What I didn't expect was to find a company that operates with the kind of responsiveness, steadiness, and human decency that many full law firms fail to deliver. From the very beginning, the experience felt different. I wasn't routed through a call center or told to "wait until Monday." I wasn't given vague promises or brushed off. Instead, I spoke directly with Steven Lopez, the manager behind the company, and he immediately understood the pressure I was under. His calm, focused approach set the tone for everything that followed. Responsiveness is where this company truly stands out. I've dealt with attorneys, paralegals, and document preparers for years, and delays are usually part of the process. Honest Legal Services operates on the opposite philosophy. When they say they're available, they mean it. When they say they'll prepare something same‑day, they actually do. When they say they'll walk you through the process, they follow through. Every time I felt overwhelmed or up against a deadline, they responded quickly with clear steps and a sense of urgency that matched my own. Their procedural accuracy is another major strength. They never pretended to be attorneys, never crossed legal boundaries, and never tried to upsell me. What they did provide was something many people underestimate: documents that are correct, complete, and court‑ready. They know which forms are required, how they must be filled out, what attachments are needed, and how to avoid clerical rejection. I've worked with licensed attorneys who made more procedural mistakes than this company does. What surprised me most was the emotional steadiness they brought to the process. Legal problems don't happen when life is calm. They hit you when you're already stressed, stretched thin, or dealing with personal or financial pressure. There were moments when I was frustrated and exhausted, and every time, they were patient, reassuring, and genuinely human. They don't treat you like a case number or a burden. They treat you like a person going through something difficult, and that alone sets them apart. Their flat‑rate pricing was another relief. No hourly billing, no surprise add‑ons, no "we need another retainer." Everything was upfront and predictable. I never felt like the meter was running or like they were dragging things out to charge more. They simply did the work -- quickly, correctly, and for the price they quoted. Honest Legal Services LLC fills a unique space in the legal ecosystem. They're not attorneys, but they operate with a level of professionalism and urgency that many attorneys don't. They consult with attorneys when needed, which adds quality control without crossing into unauthorized practice. They're the perfect fit for people who can't afford a lawyer, don't need full representation, or simply need filings done correctly and fast. My experience with them comes down to three things: 1. Responsiveness -- They answer, they act, and they follow through. 2. Accuracy -- The documents were correct, complete, and ready for court. 3. Humanity -- They treated me with respect and genuine care during a stressful time. In a legal landscape full of delays, indifference, and inflated costs, Honest Legal Services LLC actually lives up to its name. They don't pretend to be attorneys, but they deliver something many attorneys fail to provide: reliability, clarity, and consistent support when you need it most. If you're overwhelmed, confused, or simply need someone to help you get your paperwork done right, this is a company that shows up, does the work, and treats you like a human being in the process.

In my experience, the way the company presented itself before we signed the management contract felt noticeably different from how things went once they were actually managing our community. Before hiring, communication felt positive and accommodating, but after the contract was in place, their responsiveness and overall attitude toward homeowners seemed to change in a way I found disappointing. Work orders were sometimes delayed, disregarded, or not completed. Communication was not always punctual, and at times interactions with homeowners felt argumentative rather than collaborative. I also had concerns about financial management. From my perspective, some contractor bids appeared higher than expected, and the accounting we received did not always feel clear or transparent. This left me uncomfortable with how funds might be allocated. Important due-diligence notes for boards considering this company (or any management firm): Carefully review the wording of any proposed repair scopes and contract terms. I encountered line items that felt vague to me. Do your own diligence: ask for detailed breakdowns of materials, labor, and contingencies. Obtain multiple competitive bids before approving repairs, and compare like-for-like scopes. Request regular, easy-to-follow financial reports and ask clarifying questions until everything is clear. These are my personal observations and opinions based on direct experience, and others may have different experiences. For any community evaluating management services, I recommend asking detailed questions up front, requiring transparent documentation, and closely reviewing contracts, scopes, and financials before moving forward.
