Figuring out the bowling lane request was a little difficult and very expensive. It was $84 for 2 lanes! We reserved an hour, which got us through almost 2 full games. Because we arrived early, we didn't have to reserve in advance and there was no wait. This place is a good spot if you want to keep your activities around Bridge street, but I found it way more expensive than I thought it should be.

They also forget when using electronic devices that they should tend to their tables and make sure the food ACTUALLY arrive! It's took WAY too long to order for having messing with electronic technical difficulties. Then 1/4 of our drinks arrived. Wings took forever to come out and we had to ask for sour waitress to find out where are our wings and bar drinks (that have been going out to all other who arrived after us). We are completely done eating now and have told the waitress 3 times we are missing a beer and here we are over an hour later and no beer. This is ridiculous horrible service considering we just spend $100 on arcade games and another $100 on food. Was the food good, yes. But we won't come back to this horrible service. And your rating of 85 is unacceptable. You literally have a checklist you can keep up with throughout the year. Nothing is a surprise. Do better.

I recalled that the food was good and anywhere that has ski-ball is ok with me. I ordered Buster's Bacon Burger. It was loaded with barely cooked bacon that I pulled off - not at all appetizing. I ordered my burger medium-well, yes, always a crapshoot. It was burned to a crisp. I also opted for the gluten free bun. Hard as a rock. To our server's credit, she did have them redo the burger - the redo was much better but, unfortunately, still not a burger I'd come back for. The accompanying fries were nothing special. The overall assessment is "meh". The staff deserves a shoutout - they really did do what they could to salvage my meal. I was very impressed and appreciative. My husband ordered the fire grilled salmon. The piece of salmon wasn't large but was adequate. He liked the salmon but I thought it tasted a bit fishy. The rice pilaf was nothing but a scoop of plain rice. The green beans were full of steamed cherry tomatoes that he really enjoyed. His opinion: it was alright but I wouldn't order it again. We had a coupon for game play. We played a few games but decided to call it an early night. I bought the power card because I thought we'd bring our 4 year old grandson. I guess we'll have to wait a little while - There really wasn't much that he could play. The restaurant was nearly empty so diners were seated at high tops around the bar. Service was attentive and our server was particularly nice. Parking was easy. Although they do have gluten free buns (a $2.99 upcharge), there are very few GF items on the menu. The restaurant was clean including the restrooms. There is an extensive drink menu and a happy hour that looked worth trying out. I highly doubt we'll be back for food but since we still have the power card, we'll probably come by for happy hour and a few rounds of air hockey and of course some ski-ball!

The restrooms were in poor condition and one section of the arcade area was lined with broken machines. The service was good. I did not try the food, but the pizza did not look appealing to me. But for $7/hr for a fun getaway in a small town, not bad.

Lots of laughs and a decent game. Lane 9 did seem like it may not be completely level, that ball would go squirrel and you could see the dips. But we were there for fun not score- and it added lots of mystery. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Felt like we were welcome from the get go. Half of the area inside was under construction for a new pro shop. The restrooms are in dire need of remodel and repair. I don't know about the women's, but the men's had that old 50 foot hole camp site smell. It had air movement, I think it's just the moisture, evident with the paneling curling. After I did my business who cared, washed my hands and went to have some fun. It was very very inexpensive and had good lighting and music. We did not do concession as we just had dinner. I'd go back. We had a good time.

My neighbor and I brought our 6 kids hoping for a fun afternoon. Keep in mind, this establishment advertises "Kids Bowl Free" in the summer, but this place turned out to be anything but family-friendly. From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed annoyed that we were even there. No greeting, no smiles--just unwelcoming and frankly rude attitudes. Our initial check-in process was less than pleasant thanks to the clerk at the register whom never greeted us, and truly lacked in customer service altogether. Simple requests for different shoe sizes seemed like we had all but ruined her day. When our lane malfunctioned (more than once), it was like pulling teeth to get anyone to help, and when someone finally did, they acted like we were bothering them. They showed no patience, empathy or understanding for children who were clearly just trying to have a good time. They prioritized their league participants as soon as they came in. In doing so, they actually turned our lane off, and cut off the screens mid bowl before our game was even over. The excuse was "our league players like things a certain way". In other words, they want the kids kicked out. This was actually at 4:45pm- 45 minutes before their advertised Kids Bowl Free ending time which is 5:30pm. It's obvious this establishment doesn't want to cater to families or younger bowlers. Quite a shame since we spent over $200 dollars in shoes, socks, food and drinks- there was zero effort to create a positive experience. I left feeling like we'd wasted our time and money. To top it off, just before we left we caught a few of the workers behind the counter huddled together gossiping about our group. Imagine how unprofessional you'd have to be to openly gossip about a couple of moms and their 6 children while we were still in the vicinity? Whether their intention was ill or not, it was a clear display of poor management, while also being highly inappropriate. Needless to say, we won't be back. Again, If you're a parent looking for a fun, welcoming place to take your kids--avoid Madison Bowling Center.
