We purchased a roof lantern from this company, very quick and polite while taking your money then…read moreit all changed. 4 weeks for delivery, when it arrived, 70% of all the parts were chipped, scratched or dented, they blamed this on the courier but that it impossible, it was clear manufacturing defects, I wouldn't be surprised if they sent me a second hand lantern it was so bad. 5 deliveries later (most were repeated items) and dozens of phone calls and emails taking over 6 weeks to sort out we finally had enough spare parts to build the lantern. This cost us in time and money as the incredibly rude and obnoxious Albert Burgess just cannot cope with a simple transaction without having a complete melt down. He blamed literally everyone else and could not take responsibility for his personal incompetence. He lost the part numbers that I painstakingly sent him multiple times. Then asked for them again, this has to be a delaying or frustrating tactic, no one can be that stupid surely. The Roof light Centre is purely a middleman, they buy the various units directly from Made For Trade, and between the two of them they will blame each other, and spin lies and pretend they know nothing about any issues raised. They have no interest in your customer experience after taking your money, and will ignore your complaints. Avoid this company at all costs, there are much better companies out there that will give you the exact same product, and you won't have to deal with this absolute joke of a company. I wish I had never come across their website, and I wish I could rate them lower then 1 star.

When I needed glass replacing in a window, I went in here for a quote and the guy exploded at me in anger for not coming in earlier in the day. I've never been told off before for being late as a customer! Anyone would think he was employing me, rather than the other way round! I used them anyway and they sent another guy round who replaced the window glass very quickly, so I don't know what all the fuss was about. (I suspect it had something to do with an afternoon football match.) I have also used the framing service and got a print reframed here for £20-£25, which I was pleased with. But when I went in recently for a quote, the guy handling the framing side didn't seem to know how to deal with more than one customer at once and just ignored me, even though the couple in front were busy browsing and he could easily have attended to me while they were making up their minds. I gave up waiting in the end and went home. A word of warning: beware asking the glass guy about frames or vice versa. I once made that mistake and got told in no uncertain terms that they are not responsible for the other half's business (a tad confusing as they share the shop, so how would you know?!). So watch out for shopkeepers with anger management issues! A handy shop to have on your high street, nonetheless.

The price quote was competitive, however the sales consultant was absolutely lovely and professional from start to finish, not pushy, provided required information to aid our decision making.
