I have to say at this place your child is not just a job they are FAMILY! Upon finding out I needed…read moredaycare asap they were more than helpful. They took my foster child in and loved him like he was one of their own. Everyday when he was picked up I was always asked if I would like his diaper changed or a bottle to go. They keep great daily recods on every feeding and diaper change. They took time to discuss and questions I had. You better believe I will be using this place again when the time comes. Thank you girls for everything!

I am an executive and have a very demanding job. After looking and doing my research, Grow In Peace…read morestood out from the rest. Their facility is clean, secure, the staff is friendly and they teach the kids great foundational Christian principles. My girls started there at 6 weeks old and we have been there for 10 years. They are so reliable. They love on all of the kids like family. They are very organized and have a great curriculum. In fact, my daughters were reading by age 3 because of their great education. When my kids turned 5, they graduated from the program, however, we continue to enroll them in the summer program. I can not thank Grow In Peace enough for what they have been/and are for my family. My kids have tons of pictures (wonderful memories) because the teachers take them and put together photo books to keep. This is definitely a place you can trust. My kids have always been clean, felt safe and learned educationally and spritually because of this place helping to give them a great foundation. Because of my great experience, I've referred several people to this place and they have glowing experiences as well ;) THANK YOU so much for everything, grow in peace!

One of the staff members accused my child of stealing a wedding ring from another childs parent…read more The incident did not happen on school grounds and had nothing to do with the school but the staff is extremely messy. My child was threatened by the staff member there that the police were going to take her and myself away. After the situation they kept the staff member on schedule and put her in a room with my younger child where he came to me telling me she had treated him differently. The parent (who lost her ring) later found her ring locked securely in her home in their safe... after having a private investigator follow me and accusing my then 7 year old of being a thief in front of the entire school No apology was ever issued to me or my child after she was embarrassed by the school. My child unfortunately has not forgotten this incident and how they made her feel. We were instructed to not mention this incident to anyone by the pastor of the church and the director. Other parents with concerns were also hushed about their experience here. Some of their school age instructors have very little patience and are not watchful of the kids. Sitting in a corner yelling at the kids is not engaging with them.

I shopped around and interviewed 4 or 5 places in Lee's Summit before I found this gem…read more Wonderful staff, very responsible and caring. Small class sizes. After we checked out various places around town, my wife and I sat down to chat about it. We both picked this place as giving us the best "vibe" of any of the schools we looked at. Pricing is reasonable. There is a summer session as well if you are into that. My only minor beef, very minor, is that they follow the Lee's Summit schools if weather is "bad". They pretty much call off school at the drop of a hat in LS in my opinion. Additionally, the LS schools seem to have some kind of holiday or whatnot constantly. However, I'd assume most of the preschools are similar these days, so I can't really penalize Traditions for what is probably standard practice. Some of the larger daycares that I jokingly call "puppy mills" with zillions of kids are open more often and close less readily I think. Again, though, it is what it is, and I'd rather send my daughter to a higher quality place versus one where the schedule was slightly more convenient given the choice. We've been sending our daughter here for two years now and I can't think of any reason to consider anywhere else in the LS area. From what I can gather, other parents are equally happy with them. Over winter break, our kiddo was missing this place so much, she was carrying a backpack around asking us to play school with her. That's a good sign that your child is being treated well at school, when they can't wait to go back.
