Here is why: The only time we heard from Karen's office is around our birthdays each year trying to sell us life insurance (which we keep telling them we already have through our employers). Every time I have had to call or visit her office her staff has been rude and unhelpful. But here is the worst part... back in 2008, we moved across town and wanted to change State Farm agents, Karen refused to let us switch. Again in 2013, still dissatisfied with her service we again tried to switch to another agent and insisted on trying to talk me out of it over the phone. When I was not convinced she insisted my wife would also have to call and tell her to her face that she wanted to switch agents. My wife hates dealing with crap like this, so we were again stuck with Karen. The final straw was in April 2015. When faced with a major issue related to our auto policy, we contacted our agent (as instructed by customer service) and she was completely unhelpful and downright nasty to me. Agents are supposed to advocate for their clients, but you will not get that from Karen's office. Both my wife and I grew up with parents with State Farm for 20+ years. We have had State Farm together since we have been out of College. Because of the fantastic job the corporate office did to resolve our recent issue, we will be staying with State Farm, but with another agent. In early May I had gone to DI Fiore asking that they review my taxes that I'd sent in February. The owner agreed to take on my case. She let me know how "badly" I'd messed up. We did not discuss payment as I believed that would be dependent on how much work it took to fix my taxes. After many, many unanswered phone calls, and over 7 weeks later, I was called into the office by an employee who had been delegated to take on my case. I paid the $225 he requested and was given some pages of updated tax info in which he said to mail to the IRS (along with $1200 he said I underpaid) . I did this immediately. 2 months later I received a letter from the IRS stating they needed the other updated pages necessary to process my information. I went back to DI Fiore to collect these pages. I was told that the employee who did my taxes no longer worked there. The owner said he would take my case (after he completed his other deadlines). After 2 weeks we spoke to the owner again. He said he had completed my case, that I would be getting my $1200 back (because the employee did them incorrectly) but before I could have my taxes, he required us to pay another $125. I let him know that I thought that was unfair as I had already paid for services done by HIS employee. I had spent my time running back and forth from Kyle, collecting information for the second time, and the stress of communicating with the IRS. He told me I should be happy, "he had gotten my money back". At this point my taxes were held hostage. No payment, no taxes. I have overpaid to have my taxes reviewed, and don't even know if they are correct. Other than this, you should know that the office is messy, unprofessional, personal info laying around, and they have a cat that scratches customers.

They were able to collect most accounts we sent to them. We used this agency to collect our largest and most difficult accounts, and they did not disappoint. I then used the same agency when working in Carson City, NV. We did not have very many accounts that were difficult, but MPA collected what was placed with them. I am now using them while working with am employer in Scottsdale, AZ. The accounts we send are very difficult and they are still able to recover most of the amounts I believed to be a total lose. I recommend MPA to anyone who has difficult accounts that need be recovered!
