The pet area was surprisingly large, nicely maintained, and stocked with doggie waste bags, which was a huge plus. The employees were friendly and welcoming, making the stop even better. However, I was surprised when I went inside to use the restroom to find the door to the women's bathroom blocked open with the garbage can. I assumed that was because perhaps they were getting ready to mop the floors. I asked the attendant if it was OK if I used the women's bathroom, and explained that it was blocked open. She responded, "It's public bathroom and people don't know how to turn the water off. The bathroom has flooded twice already." I assumed it was a public bathroom as I've never been in a gas station to date that has not had one. I was puzzled by this asinine strategy as it aims to punish all of their female customers in response to something that has been an issue with a couple of them. If you have an issue with customers leaving the water on, there's a simple fix that doesn't require you to publicly humiliate all of us by taking away a sense of privacy while using your bathrooms. Install motion detected faucets. That's what most gas stations do. A person should be able to use a gas station bathroom and have some semblance of privacy. Especially given this gas station charges $.20 more per gallon than any place else in town. The owner/manager of this business needs to develop better problem-solving skills.

Not only is it top-tier gas, it is conveniently located directly off the highway. But for me, the biggest plus is you can tell that they have pride of ownership AND care about their customers because of the special attention they pay to the window washing station that is attached to the gas pumps. Not only was it clean and filled up, it looked like it was filled with windshield wiper fluid. If all gas station owners and employees were this conscientious, I wouldn't have to travel with my own paper towels and high-quality glass cleaner. Well done, Chevron in Grandview! Well done!

Another trip to go see my dad's horse at the Horse Academy…read more We decided to go hit a couple wineries before we went to see the horse, and ended up getting off at this exit in front of this Chevron. We thought the price was pretty "cheap" for a Chevron. We were down half a tank since we filled up in Seattle, so we put gas. $3.59 for plus unleaded. We filled up and we were off. At the next exit we saw a few other gas stations and the plus unleaded was listed at 3.69 and 3.71, so we were pretty happy about 10 to 12 cents a gallon we saved.
