--- Subject:…read moreUnacceptable Scheduling Miscommunication To whom it may concern, I was specifically instructed to be in Baton Rouge for an 11:00 AM appointment on 07/05 I drove three hours from Lake Charles to arrive on time, only to be informed upon arrival by Capital Grass that I had simply been placed in a "window." I want to make it clear that I was never told anything about a time window--I was given a specific time, and I adjusted my schedule and traveled accordingly. I normally don't voice complaints, but this level of miscommunication is absolutely unacceptable. Respectfully, Michael Richardson

I asked them to replace a plate glass piece that was covering a leaded glass window in my front…read moredoor. To put this into context, my father had made from old cypress and had put lots of hand made touches on it. In addition, my mother had created a beautiful leaded glass piece to go into the door. To say the least, I am very invested in this door. Capital Glass took exquisite care and a lot of time and care to assure that the door was not harmed and the plate glass which protects the leaded glass. In the end they did a spectacular job with this door and their charge was very reasonable. Thank you, Capital Glass for a great, affordable price.

I brought my Kubota B3030 tractor to M&L, a Kubota dealer, for repairs to the belly mower. The PTO…read morehydraulic valve was frozen and to be replace along with the electrical relay that controls the valve. They did the work quickly and correctly and charged a reasonable price. I took the tractor home and started mowing. Almost immediately into the job the tractor shut down. It just died completely, and would not turn over, even though the battery showed good. I called M&L and let them know that the tractor had died inside a small fenced in section of my back yard, and that I could not get out of that area or onto a trailer since it would not even turn over. The Service Manager told me that he would send someone to my house right away to see what could be done to get it going and back to their shop if needed. The Service manager himself, showed up at my house in about fifteen minutes. He must have left as soon as he hung up the phone. He checked the electrical system and battery, then tried to jump start the engine with a screw driver across the solenoid terminals. When that did not work, he went straight to the fuse box and discovered that the 5 amp fuse that runs the engine was blown. He replaced the fuse with the spare from the fuse box. Bingo, problem solved. The 5 amp fuse that runs the engine has nothing to do with the work they just completed at their shop. Even so, he refused to charge me for the service call or the repair. He would not even accept the tip I tried to give him. I cannot say enough good things about such a quick, concerned, and professional response, to a problem that turned out to have nothing to do with their previous repair. I cannot recall the last time I received such a great response to what gave the appearance of a warranty problem. Maybe never, and I am 63 yrs old. I thought that such great customer service was a thing of the past. M&L is a Kubota, and I think a New Holland Dealer, but they work on just about any make tractor. I give them my unreserved and highest recommendation for their customer service and repair work. If you own a tractor, and have need of a repair, I feel confident that M&L will solve the problem, with quality work, great customer service, and at a reasonable price. Mike Owens Port Allen, La.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. My husband and I love plants and go here for soil, pots and nutrients. It's funny because I never imagined I'd be the kind of person who gets excited to go to a hardware store, yet here we are. I love shopping here and I love everyone who works here. You may pay a little extra for items but I promise you- the personal customer service and the fact that you'll never have to stand in line longer than 3 min- more than makes up for the price difference.

We had to pay the full amount for materials and labor (tens of thousands of dollars) prior to an installation date even being scheduled. That's not standard with contractors, but we agreed to it because LL promised that our contractor would not be paid until we signed completion paperwork stating that everything had been finished. That did not happen - our contractor was paid even though we did not sign paperwork and even called LL to say that they were not done. Obviously, our contractor is no longer motivated to finish up the job. We were also told that the contractor would move all of our furniture. That didn't really happen (they only moved some stuff) and we now have a lot of damaged furniture and electronics. Overall, extremely disappointing.
