AmeriGas is the worst experience I've had with any company in my life! I was setup for auto refill…read morefor years, then last winter they just didn't refill my tank while I was out of the country for work. My furnace eventually stopped working due to low propane. My plumbing would have froze but thankfully my neighbor was able to use electric heaters to save my house. When I returned home from work, AmeriGas wanted me to pay all kinds of service fees, an expediting fee, as well as an inspection fee because of their negligence. I decided to change companies after this horrible service and they pilled on a bunch of service & pickup fees to my account anyway. When I called back and spoke to customer service, I was told my account showed a $0 balance. I explained the invoice they just mailed to me said different. The representative then told me the fees would be reversed and my account still showed a $0 balance. This was after holding for over an hour and being transferred. I was later notified my account was going to collections, spent another hour on the phone, only to be told my account still showed a $0 balance. I explained I received a collections notice and was then transferred to senior management where this got even worse. The manager I spoke to said there was still a balance due and did not even believe I was told I had a $0 balance before transfer. These clowns not only almost ruined my home, but also almost put a hit on my credit due to incompetence and poor business practice. Save yourself the headache and this business from further embarrassment and go anywhere else.
