For the 3 last years Amerigas service has been horrendous. When you call somebody from China or who knows from where answer's the phone, but nobody can't understand what she says and it's almost impossible to get any help. It's impossible to get communication in the phone by anyone at the Lakeland office (if they have an office). And the chat doesn't help either. It has been several times that I run out of gas, even when it supposed to be automatic delivery. My gas tank will be 29 years old and I requested months ago to be replaced. After they came in April and confirmed that the tank had to be replaced, nobody since then has communicated for this matter. Now they are telling me that they will come to repair it. read more

This company is the biggest scam out there. They have been telling me for a year and a half they will be installing an electronic meter to alert Amerigas when my tank is low. I have two month delivery scheduled but I always have to call to get gas. They do not have the best prices and have billed us for our neighbor's tank. I spent 1.5 hours trying to resolve the issue but then still need to schedule them to fill up my tank. They have left my family waiting for gas for an extra month when our hot water and cooking depends on it. Customer service is based out of a different country and they never tell the truth. Embarrassingly shameful. Disgraceful. Borderline fraudulent. read more

Zero The worst customer service on the planet. Fraudulent business practices. If there is a billing issue, you can only reach a call center so the issue is never solved. They are billing me for over $1500 worth of gas and the date of service is after I moved from that house. Do not use this company for anything. read more

AVOID THEM!!!I tried for 3 months to get them to refill my tank. Every time I'd get a text saying there was a problem. Every time a different problem. I'm on hold over an hour now just to try to get them to come get their tanks!!! I regret the day I first called them. I can't believe they're still in business! Zero stars!!! read more

When we moved into our home, there was a full tank of propane, but they wouldn't turn it on for 2 weeks leaving us without hot water and cooking and laundry as they were too busy to drive by and remotely turn on gas. We filled the tank 3 days before selling the house, after running out and being without gas for 2 weeks again as delivery was delayed by a month. We were supposed to get a refund for gas not used. It's literally been dozens of phone calls and we still haven't seen the $1000 + refund 2 months later. I would never recommend the Lakeland branch of Amerigas. If I could give the negative starts, I would. They are impossible to reach and you can only speak to the call center out of the country. All they can do is send an email to the local branch requesting refund. IT DOESN"T WORK!!!! So frustrated. read more

As far as I'm concerned, this company rates a -50. They are no longer the company they were a few years ago. I received a bill that I know was incorrect, but when I called the local office someone answered in the Phillipines (she knew it was wrong) and the local office - I went there - is all locked up with blackout on the windows. I have written letters, even sent them a check so they wouldn't turn my gas off until it was straightened out. In another 6 days it will be one month since I sent the check and they still haven't cashed it. However, they could and did send yet another invoice and ADDED TO IT. 1 star only because I couldn't file a review for zero stars. Worst customer experience. Had a gas leak at our house 5 days ago and service is still not restored. Amerigas came and locked out tank, but then didn't restore service despite multiple calls. No one has ever called or contacted us from our local branch. read more

The continuing saga of the yahoos at Amerigas and Florida Public Utilities. Tried again to resolve the issue of FPU changing my propane account to some unknown individual without my authorization. Spoke to their reps again this morning and they both want to charge me for inspection and swap of tanks with a loss of propane in those tanks. Neither of these outfits think that there is anything wrong with changing the propane contract holder without the homeowners written approval. I must go to a third supplier (Blossman Gas) and surrender the propane in my tanks and get the new supplier to set their tanks. The Woman at Blossman was very helpful, knowledgeable and cooperative. She must not be from Citrus County. The mess created by the inept employees at both FPU and Amerigas will cause me a significant amount of money, and has required many hours of my attention, and caused irritation and mental anguish. Do your due diligence before entering into any business arrangement with propane suppliers, builders, handymen, technicians, plumbers, electricians, etc.. and trash collectors in Citrus County. The "good Ole Boy", rip off the yankees culture still exists here. You remain a Yankee for generations if not born here unless imported from another Deep South state and speak redneck. The Citrus County Chamber of Commerce is run by and for the benefit of it's members, not the paying public. read more

What a friendly, helpful company this is. And how often do you hear that regarding a utility company-well this company is stellar! I called with an emergency need, Taylor was right on top of it, did not over promise but said she would get someone out as soon as possible and within 24 hrs, Dustin was at the house, delivering my gas. He pressured-checked my tank and made sure that all my appliances were fired up and working, and was friendly on top of it. Then I called the office to complement the staff and got Amy who was just as nice and friendly as Taylor and Dustin had been. I am very glad that we use this service instead of any other. They know how to treat their customers right!! read more
