1/5 Unfortunately, I…read morewould not recommend Sybaris after our recent stay. My husband and I paid approximately $700 for our room, and two of the main amenities we were paying for--the waterfall feature over the pool and the hot tub--were not functioning properly. I noticed almost immediately after checking in that the waterfall wasn't working and called the front desk. I was told they would work on getting it fixed. About an hour later, they called and told me it should be working, but it still wasn't. By that point, I had also realized that the hot tub was not working and the water was cold. We were told maintenance would address the issues the following morning. The waterfall finally began working around 9 AM the next day, when our original checkout time was 11 AM. The front desk did offer us a late checkout until 3 PM and sent maintenance to work on the hot tub, which I appreciated. However, the hot tub was still cold and unusable when we left at 3 PM. I was also told that the general manager would contact me before we checked out to discuss further compensation. Instead, I didn't hear from the general manager until approximately a week later, when I was offered a $50 refund on a roughly $700 stay. For a hotel whose rooms are centered around private pool and hot-tub amenities, having those features unavailable for most or all of our stay was incredibly disappointing. A $50 refund does not seem proportionate when some of the primary amenities we specifically paid for weren't usable. Beyond that, the property felt extremely outdated, and there were areas that appeared to have a possible mold/moisture issue, which was also concerning. For the amount of money we spent, I expected a significantly better experience and better resolution when major room amenities weren't functioning. Unfortunately, this stay was nowhere near worth $700, and I would not spend the money to stay here again.

Upon arrival to our hotel room on Friday, there was hair all over our room, wads of black hair as you can see in photo. This also included hair in the bathroom. We found a housekeeper who we asked to vacuum it all up while we were there but we were absolutely disgusted by this. One of our comforters was frayed and unraveling- our room was disgusting. There was a stain on the comforter. The housekeeping staff was not in uniform which made us very uncomfortable since they did not look professional at all. Upon arrival on Friday, there was what seemed like a drug addict screaming at people outside of your hotel. We entered the hotel only to find more of these people in the lobby. We were there with our young children and this made us extremely uncomfortable. There was a hotel guest dressed in attire that had "Sheriff" on it but he was definitely not a sheriff. He was creeping around the building all weekend, standing in hallways and pulling on people's doors. This made us very uncomfortable and made us feel very uneasy and unsafe. I would not recommend this hotel. The building itself is nice but it is not managed by professional staff. There are questionable people hanging out at this hotel, it's not cared for, and breakfast was very plain and rubber-like. We will not be staying here again.

Following my frightening stay in Milwaukee last month, I was very nervous about staying at a new place since I don't know the area that well. This hotel is just off of the expressway in an industrial area. There were Ascention health doctor offices next door. Seemed very safe. Nice big parking lot. Very clean and updated lobby, hallways and room. Our room was SO quiet, dark, and comfortable I woke up thinking it was 3AM but it was 8AM! Breakfast was good/standard. The lady that checked us in and the lady that checked us out were both very pleasant. I will definitely stay here again. We didn't use the pool but checked it out. It's on the smaller side but clean. It was less than a 10 minute Uber to the State Fair.

The…read morereason we had to pick this hotel was that this was practically one of the only few hotels that had the swimming pool open without reservations and the swim time was long. It's from 6 AM till 11 PM for kids and midnight for adults. Overall had a blast and my friend's nephew enjoyed the pool. It is an indoor swimming pool but the jacuzzi was closed. Still, this was a pretty nice hotel, the service was friendly and plenty of open spaces which I enjoyed. It is also literally very close to Walgreens and Walmart so if you forgot to bring something say your sandals you can get them! I would like to say I can't judge their breakfast option because many places right now for hotels don't have a wonderful breakfast. This one was bagels and muffins with coffee/ orange juice. It was a pick-up and go at the front desk area. Many places have kind of done the preached food because of COVID. So at least everyone is still staying safe!

Manager on duty answered my call on check in day to confirm we had a 1st floor room (rolling in bikes) and give us an orientation when we checked in. Took care of getting me a replacement light bulb for one on the fritz. For $120 a night (no minimum stay), we got a fireplace suite double queen. Didn't test the fireplace but it had a serviceable coffee table, couch seating for three (no sofabed) and also a separate desk to work at. Fridge and freezer included. I forgot that there was vending in the building and Hardee's across the street closes at 10 p.m.! Beds were comfortable and shower was efficient. Inside/outside sinks make it easier for folks to get ready. Relaxed - did not test TV for streaming. Wifi was fine. Sorry no photo!
