Selection is limited on the firearms and prices but it's fair for a pawn shop around norman

Courteous friendly consultants. Great selection of just about anything you need. Fair prices.

BEWARE and do not go to this place..they sold me an ac that they knew was messed up..they showed me that it blew cold air but when I got home and only fifteen mins after using it an e8 code showed up and only warm air was blowing out of it. Did some research and found out that ther is something wrong with the refrigerant..now I'm down 100 bucks and have no means left to get rid of this hot and humid weather..i would never go back to such a dishonest place and only writing this review because I don't want anyone to have to go tru the same thing I did.. read more

Just saw Roger's review and am a bit at a loss. I cannot say I'm a pro musician, but having played guitar a long time (I'm 54 and got my first Silvertone bass when I was 12) and several brass instruments,I've been around. I've also been in a ton of guitar shops and seen multiple occasions where someone was asked to stop playing or to turn it down and a ton where there were signs saying "Do Not Sing." (Remember, most of us are more impressed with our playing than the rest of the world - think American Idol). I bought a Martin Dreadnaught at America's about a year ago and got a super price, then the guy threw in a hard shell case AFTER I had paid! A month ago, my twelve year old wanted to switched from drums to guitar and with him in Houston, I called America's and bought an electric, a small Marshall amp $108. When it got to my son, there was a back pack included (no one ever said there would be one and it was not expected) and the guitar was a baby Les Paul with only one small scratch in it. My son smiled for days. There are a lot of musicians at Americas and the people are really good to you. Hate to hear that Roger had a bad go of it. Maybe he should just go talk to Jack and work it out, the guy seemed really reasonable every time I spoke with him. read more

Americas Pawn is the worst pawn shop in Norman. They will only pay a small fraction of the value of items. Total ripoff is all have to say about Americas Pawn. I wouldn't bother wasting my time going in there. read more

Always been one of the "STAY AWAY FROM" pawn shops. But recent need sent me to them. To which I spent an hour while the counter person played with the device that I was seeking a loan on. Not investigated the working condition of the device, but actually played with it, as if it were his own. When he made an "offer" on the device, then reached into his pocket for payment. I took my device, and left. I WILL STARVE BEFORE PATRONIZING THIS PLACE AGAIN! FOR ANY REASON. read more

I was googling this company's phone number and saw a one star review so had to check it out... Wow. I'm sorry that happened to Roger. I've had nothing but good experiences at America's Pawn (AP). Have done business with them for years ~ even at the old location. AND I also did business with Circle D. In fact, the owner of AP loaned me $$ on my daughter's clarinet (she is grown and no longer plays) when Circle D would not. I wonder, Roger, if the staff knew you were seriously considering purchase and not just someone "playing" on the equipment. AP has worked with me when my payment would be late, given me discounts and i've purchased many items from them over the years. I'll be going back!! read more

I'm a professional lead guitarist for a local band. I've been playing guitar for 31 years, and have been researching a particular guitar amplifier online for several days, now. I walked into America's Pawn shop today and lo and behold, they have a smaller, yet, excellent version of that very same amp! I immediately asked the owner if I could try it out, he said sure, so I picked a guitar similar to one of mine and started playing thru the amp. After about 15 minutes, I was just about ready to go put it in layaway when an employee comes up informing me to either make a purchase or quit playing! According to him, the owner sent him to tell me he was tired of listening to the guitar racket! I thought he was joking, but, he was serious! I've never been so Insulted and Humiliated in all my adult life!!! I've been a long term customer of that store, and have bought countless guitar amps, pedals, processors, a drum set, and most recently a diamond ring for my wife! I've never bought a musical instrument or equipment without thouroughly trying it out, nobody in their right mind would!!!!! Most of my purchases were made, however, before this owner took over the business. (It was previously Circle D Pawn)...The gall of this loser!!!! I'll never even so much as darken his door again!!! And the same goes for all of my friends, family and fellow musicians! What a JOKE!!!!! I hope he goes broke and has to close the doors!!! What a fool!!! read more
