I had water damage in 3 rooms (bedroom, guest restroom and washroom) consisting of drywall damage,…read moreinsulation damage, base board damage and pergo/laminate floor damage. I contacted Sefik after contacting 2 other contractors. I had found Krajina Construction through the Better Business Bureau website and had a good rating and all necessary licenses up to date. Sefik came the same day for a review of the work and emailed me the quote that night. After reviewing his quote and comparing to another quote from another contractor I decided to hire Sefik. NOTE: This work was completed at least 1 month ago. I was quite satisfied on the day the work was completed (6 days of work total) but wanted to wait this long to give myself time to evaluate all the work done and do a "burn test" of the work. Sefik's work consisted of: - removing the damaged baseboards, drywall and insulation - replacing the damaged drywall and baseboards - taping all edges (90 degree corners and all other angles and curves) - matching the texture as closely as possible of the existing wall to the new drywall - painting of the new wall / baseboards During the removal of drywall Sefik also noticed a few improvements that needed to be made while the drywall was down in the wash room. Some of the plumbing he had noticed (and I confirmed) was not working correctly. Some of the shut off valves were frozen and needed upgrading to existing code and better parts. Again I knew of the frozen valves at least 2-3 years ago but was not in need to change them. Sefik did notice the valves and recommended the changes happen with the drywall down because any work done later on by another person would require ripping out a section of the new drywall he was putting up and repairing again. For this piece Sefik did the following: - cut and removed the defective hot / cold water valves for the washer - installed a new up-to-date box to hold the valves - installed the new valves and tested Other notes: - Cleanliness was great. Sefik lay down paper on all floor he would be working around to keep any dirt, dust, nails, texture and paint mess to a minimum - He swept each day all areas of the house that he was in - He was on time every day showing up at 8AM (as we confirmed each day) and/or within +-10 min of the hour - The work was completed 1 day over due to the extra work needed that was not found during the initial inspection. This was noted and approved by me in advance but mentioned here as sometimes the work reviewed at the time does not reveal all the damage once the work begins. - Overall quality of the work was awesome and I have kept his card on file for other work to be done in the house over the next couple of years (redo of kitchen (oven, stove, countertop etc) Give Sefik a call and at the very minimum get a quote and see what he can do for you. - taping the edges

Dave built an incredible pergola and fence in my driveway. The project was tricky because the…read moredriveway isn't square, but a little wedge shaped. Aside from other good reviews and pergola jobs on Next-door, I picked him because his proposal included detailed plan and profile drafting markups of how he envisioned the pergola. He gave me three options considering different wood choices (cedar, douglas fir, etc.). He showed up when he said he would and worked continuously through the project. He continually communicated with me on schedule and project decisions. To call his attention to detail impeccable hardly seems to do it justice. Every surface was beautifully sanded and stained. He used black steel hardware everywhere he could. Where a few of the bolts couldn't be purchased in black, he painted them black so that everything would match. I didn't even know they made black silicone, which he used to seal any seems where wood butted against other wood. He custom crafted the corner supports. Instead of bolting beams onto the driveway, he cut the concrete, dug a deep hole, and poured concrete around a massive steel footing for each post. He custom built the gate around the style of fence I'd asked for so that it blends in perfectly. He carefully preserved the grapes and wisteria that were growing on the old fence so that when he was finished I was able to move it all onto the new structure. While building, Dave covered the wood with a tarp even when there was no chance of rain, which saved me a lot of money when my sprinklers threw a fit and doused the driveway he was working on in the middle of the night. His labor cost was extremely reasonable, and he's a fantastic person.

Steve was very friendly and educational on what he was going to do vs what other contractors do, cutting cost and efficacy. I asked about prices. Steve wasnt extremely low on price, trying to get the job not was he ridiculously expensive. We scheduled a couple days out and he arrived at his scheduled time. (We had the bathroom tile installed, backsplash removed and installed, sub-floor/laminate ripped out, base boards cut and installed and a new toilet added) Steve got to work with his son, cleanly. I left him at my house alone Bc I had to go to work. I had valuables on the counter and not one thing was touched or missing. Steve was communicative through the whole process, even when I was not at home. I asked questions throughout and he gave me choices. I am EXTREMELY pleased and excited with the work. I'm OCD so inspected every inch of his work. All the fine details are perfect (grout is even, cuts are straight, nicely cleaned up the work area). All said and done, for 2 half days of work I paid $1000. With all the reno's we are doing Steve's business was the smoothest, clearest, and most efficient. My main concern is the damage he did to my property, not the court. His cement tube ran down HOA property (photo) next to my home. Instead of anchoring it in the center of the sidewalk, it was free to slam into my brick and iron fencing. I had JUST installed the wrought iron with a plumb-line the week before. It was poker straight and a difficult job for this senior- 70 next month. I have replaced knees and arthritic hands. The brick banged into the wrought iron and chipped paint off the first two iron pieces (photo.) Then knocked the entire iron fencing out of alignment. It also pushed the end of the brick fence in (photo.) Bottom brick was hit repeatedly by heavy cement hose and pushed out of place. It had to be taken down to straighten it. Lucky the unsecured cement hose didn't damage my vinyl fence! It did however, put a deep groove in the landscape rock in front of it belonging to the HOA (photo.) Since HOA was paying, he fixed that right away. Mike, a neighbor, told Ricky he fixed it. He tried, but skipped some painting and what was done was marginal. A shiny wrought iron finish should be spray painted, not dabbed on in globs. When I asked Mike if he was going to straighten the wrought iron, he said it was crooked before Steele started, as if he had "inspected" my home prior. I don't fault Mike. He is older than me and not responsible for fixing Steele's damage. I text Ricky numerous times, he promised he would come and fix it--initially. This job was Aug. 16, 2024. By mid Sept. Ricky was full of Christian promises, but remained MIA. I spent time cleaning all the concrete dust off the shiny, new wrought iron because it will discolor it. A dust storm from cutting a sidewalk next to my property blew all over my deck, newly laid landscape rock, the wrought iron fence and my home. See photo with arrows showing where I cleaned a top piece of the iron fence and the lower still full of dust. According to Google, if concrete dust is left to snow and rain on a painted finish, it will ruin the shine. By the end of Oct. he promised to send someone, but didn't. I tracked my hours at $25/hr and told him he owed me $62.50 for the concrete dust clean up of 35ft. of long curly fencing. He simply said, "OK, God Bless." He never came to the job site or sent me a check. I got sick last fall and could give no more attention to Ricky Stelle. 2025 Sept. 9, I contacted him again. I reminded him I still had to do his review of never fixing the damage to my property. Following is our text on FaceBook: Ricky: Absolutely, you really should. Or instead, you should do yourself a favor and pick up a bible and read it. I will drop one off if you need?? My family and I will keep praying for you God bless Me: You come onto my property, you destroy things, and you don't fix it. Do you think your life review in front of the Lord is going to be a good one? What you are doing is hiding behind Him "acting" like you're a Christian. I know the Bible. I was raised Catholic. I also know when somebody takes advantage of senior citizens and that would be you. I helped some senior's kids win that case in court. You can preach all you want, but I wouldn't want to be standing in your shoes on Judgement Day. And what is crazy it's about a 30 minute job. You promised to come and you never did. God saw that happen too. I'll be 70 next month. I worked super hard on all of that fencing that you didn't mind trashing. I don't need your blessings, prayers or your Bible. I have several. What I needed was for you to act like a professional and fix the fence that you damaged. Ricky: Mike told me he would take care of it. I'm really sorry. Please forgive me Me: Ask God to forgive you cause I don't. Ricky sent the hilarious icon that won't upload here. He found the distress and property damage of a senior citizen hilarious. The fence is still out of alignment. Bottom line, it was Ricky's job to take care of it. Stay far away from this company unless you need someone to pray for you. Apparently, that is where he "thinks" he shines.
