American Video transferred old family videos of my children, from 8 mm tapes to a USB stick. I uploaded the files to my Google Drive and shared the videos to my kids' Google accounts. What a hit! American Video is a small family owned company. They do not send out tapes to a third party so the chance of a tape being lost is almost zero. When you call the company, instead of getting a call center rep, you get a person involved in the operation of the company, someone who actually cares about the customer. The quality of the video/ audio on the files that I received back was excellent. American Video added labels to the files without being asked, something that the big companies charge extra for. I am so impressed with this company, especially with Rob. I called American Video to get information and pricing. This company came highly recommended to me, and I can see why. When I called, I left a message. Within 3 minutes, Rob called back and said he was on vacation in ME with his family. But, said he doesn't like to miss any calls. Rob works out of his house off the beaten track. He meets with customers on his porch. I have a good bunch of my fathers 16 mm home movies as well as my super 8 films. I had him transfer one 16 mm and it was fine and the price 16 cents per foot was very good. read more
