If you are reading this review before doing your closing, tell your agent you want a different title company and save yourself the headaches. "Incompetence at its best" perfectly describes this place. They like to point fingers at other entities such as lenders and tax office instead of just saying we screwed up, here's your money back. We completed closing paperwork for our house at this title company. The closing was terrible. The title company agent and our real estate agent chatted nearly the entire time! We had to literally interrupt them for questions. When we asked questions it felt like they were trying to rush us. I get they are about to receive a check from our closing but seriously show some professionalism! I do not recommend this title company. We had a better experience at another title company. Ask to go elsewhere. Glad we got our house but hate giving money to incompetent people. read more

I've continued to do business with this title company for many years. They are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and do whatever thy can to help close deals on time and/or sooner if needed. To read these other reviews if people who have only dealt with them through one occasion, really makes me think the issues may have been the responsibility of others, who probably passed the blame to the title company. I have dealt with sub-par title companies through my years in the real estate business, but American Title Company- Deer Park is definitely not one of those. If you want your transaction closed and handled by people who truly know what they are doing, then use American Title Company of Deer Park.
