Please note, all the text below is my opinion. TL;DR: Review about my experience with their sales/cancellation process, no comment on the quality of their work. Pay attention during your interaction with the salesperson, in my opinion the salesperson got 10% when I signed the contract, so he was incentivized to say and do whatever they need to do to get me to sign; the terms in the document supersede anything they verbally tell you (if you don't believe me the company and a magistrate will tell you this). I believe the company is litigious, once you sign you are bound if you don't cancel within 3-days they will sue you if you try to cancel the job after the 3-days. Don't sign anything unless you are 100% sure you want their services. In short in my opinion, STAY AWAY there are other epoxy flooring companies out there; DANGER, WILL ROBINSON! Short version: Very Negative experience. Based on my experience I would stay away. Back in July 2023 the salesperson came over for a "free" estimate. He gave us an estimate for $7.1k for a ~650 sq.ft. garage. Salesperson told us that we can lock in the estimate if we give him a deposit. He wouldn't leave and was super insistent that we give him some money to hold the estimate. We only had $30 on hand so we gave him that and he said that if we don't pay him at least $500 within 3 days he won't be able to hold the estimate for us and it will "go away". He asked us to sign some papers which we signed to get him out of our house. We were brand new home owners and didn't have experience with contracts at the time, we didn't even know what we signed was a contract (the document we signed says the word "contract" only once on the last page). We decided we didn't want the work done and didn't send them any additional money. A few months later they start calling to schedule the job, we called them back and said we never gave them the rest of the deposit to hold the estimate, thinking it was a clerical error, and never intended to have the work done. Fast forward a few months and they took us to court in Schuylkill county (2 hours away), and the local judge (Magistrate) ruled in their favor. Throughout our attempt to cancel, the people we dealt with from their company were generally just unpleasant compared to other company reps we've dealt with in the past. The $30 we gave the salesperson cost us $3000+, hours of our life and in the end we never got an epoxy floor. Don't sign anything! They pressure you to put down a small deposit that will just back out after a few days, but then they tell you you signed in blood and will need to pay THOUSANDS to get out if the contract. Read the contract first! Severely overpriced.. will charge $7k to do what you can do yourseld with a $200 kit from Home Depot. Bait and switch! Update: notice seller didn't include any contract or business practice details, just denied. Don't sign anything unless you read every letter of contract /work order first! They use high pressure sales tactics...encourage you to sign work order and say it is just to lock in price....then start quoting the contract and threatening legal action...and charging (literally!) 50% cancellation fee...ridiculous! Save yourself some money and go to home depot...get $200 kit, spend 1 to 2 days, and save $6,000+ and it will be 95% as good. Avoid this company at all cost! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I paid $15,000 for a new roof and gutters. They put the front downspout ending right at my foundation, doesn't even extend away from the house. The rear downspout comes out about 10 inches, draining right by my septic tank and flooded the drain field. The one chimney does not have flashing around it. Within 2 months of having the roof done it was leaking into my kitchen. When I called they said they would send someone out THE NEXT DAY! I had to fight with them to get it done that same day. It took making a BBB claim to get a reply. Needless to say they still have not fixed anything and that was several months ago. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. read more

Update 5/30/23 And the saga continues I received the following voicemail from Saagge this morning: "Hello Jennifer this is Sage with American remodeling I'm just checking up on your appointment that you have it the 26th at 10 AM with Jamie um looks like we are just trying to follow up on some of the information that you have here and get you set up with a different date and time to be able to get you a free estimate on that um we do do the painting of the cabinets and we would actually do the refacing of them if you can give us a call back at 888-739-7339 so I can get you set up for virtual or a phone call for Dustin thank you and have a great day..." I thought this was odd given our conversation of Friday (5/26/23) afternoon. Saagge stated she wanted to confirm that Jamie gave us a quote on Friday. I reminded Saagge that Jamie did not give us a quote (that we had discussed that point on Friday afternoon). Saagge stated she wanted to set us up with a consultant named Dustin so he could provide us an estimate on the requested services. I asked what different information would Dustin provide that Jamie didn't? Saage promptly throws Jamie under the bus claiming that Jamie is new and not as experienced as Dustin. Furthermore, when I expressed empathy for Jamie having made a 90 minute trip for nothing, she retorts, rather rudely (and I'm paraphrasing) - why would you feel sorry for the consultant. That is the job they get paid for. (WOW - seriously?) When I pressed the simple questions of do they or do they not repaint existing kitchen cabinets WITHOUT replacing any cabinets doors or drawer plates, Saage became evasive and pretty much lied to me stating she can't answer that question because she's not the consultant. I then asked her to remove me from their calling list and not to contact me again, to which Saage accuses me of being mean and the promptly hangs up on me. Saagge again displayed complete unprofessionalism, not to mention she clearly does not care about her co-workers. Hey Saagge. My husband and I had a lovely conversation with Jamie on Friday. She is not exactly "new" and she doesn't get paid for making that 90-minute trip to my house (paid only on commission). Plus she has the integrity to be honest with us based on what we were explicitly requesting. Jamie (I hope you read this) - you were great. We so appreciate your honesty. We would love to consult with you in the future if you should ever work with a different company, hopefully some place where your coworkers appreciate you and want to communicate clearly and honestly with you. This company might actually do quality work, but I would NEVER recommend based on my interactions with their front-line staff. read more

I do not recommend this company to anyone. I was treated horribly and then lied to. Had received horrible customer service from the financial woman, Kelly,who yelled at me, hung up on me, and when I called to get the accurate address, as the old address is on the paperwork, got attitude again, from Kelly,asking if I needed it to fill out an application. *this is the short version of how rude and unprofessional Kelly was with me*I had a friend with me, who was also looking into seeing how this company would resolve the issue with how I was treated, as she heard how Kelly spoke with me, to potentially use this company as well. The issues were not resolved. I went in person to get this handled. The VP could have handled this siutauon so much better. Instead, they did everything they could to NOT refund my deposit. Then the VP himself lied about sending it out. When I reached back out,yet again, I got told he already sent it. I made it clear this was violating contract as the contract states you will receive your refund within 10 buisness days from your cancelation notice. The date on the check proved the VP lied about sending it out. Nothing but a hassle. DO NOT PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN FOR ROOFING. I am unsure how the other departments work for this company, however if this is any indication of how they do business as a company stay far far away. We were going to give the company another chance, just wanted to make sure they were going to follow the contract and refund on time, if they could have done this without any further issues we would have given another chance,that did not happen. THEY HIRE ANYONE... NO CONSTRUCTION EXPIERIENCE NEEDED. the kid who came to my house to repair a rain gutter. came by HIMSELF..?? this gutter was 18' long and on the 2nd story of my house. He couldnt do it by himself . So he called his girlfriend to come help him. They managed to get the gutter attached but he spilled an entire box of pop rivets in my grass. I sent them a request to cancel and receive my $100.00 deposited returned to me. They refused to return my deposit and I was left to file charges with the local District Magistrates Office. They in turn filed a counter suit against me. Come court day they never showed so I was awarded my $100.00 plus another $112.25 for the court filing fee. And their counter claim was dismissed. Sure wish they would have showed up as I would have made a total lair out of them. So now they forwarded me a check for $212.25 instead of just returning my original $100.00. People don't trust this company for anything. I would not even trust them to barrow my wheelbarrow and to return it. They are scam artist for sure. Oh by the way they wanted $14000.00 to replace 10 windows and now I am getting all 10 windows replaced for $7000.00 from a reliable company. They came earlier than scheduled thankfully. The end project is fantastic! No more leaks! To not have to worry about getting buckets under leaks is a Godsend! The roof now stands out compared to what it used to look like. Very delighted with the work. They arrived promptly at 7 am. They cleaned up after themselves. No one was smoking while on the job either as I am highly sensitive to smoke now that I have been smoke-free for 2.5 years. read more

This company is a scam artist and should not be trusted!! I asked for a simple quote for redoing the shingles on my roof, which they said they would provide. But, after rearranging my schedule and driving 40 minutes to meet the guy at my son's home (which I own), and then letting the guy use my bathroom and letting him walk around my property to assess my roof, he suddenly asked where my wife was (to which I thought: none of your business, why are you asking me this, she has no interest or expertise in roofing and would have no involvement in the selection process, etc.). When I told him that my wife was busy and would not be coming, he then claimed that he now couldn't give me a quote, he "doesn't do business like that" (what?), and he abruptly left after wasting my time and providing nothing! In hindsight, I feel like I at least avoided some high-pressure sales pitch (like a timeshare gimmick) that I'm sure he planned on making to me and my wife. Three other REAL contractors have since come out, spent about 10 minutes at my house each, and all emailed me complete and competitive price quotes for the work the next day. I have never came across a remodeling company with such aggressive and rude salesman. I told him multiple times, thank you but I am only looking for an estimate today, but the salesman would not relent. He lowering the price and trying to cut deals even though each time he said it was the lowest he could possibly go. The price was not even the issue but the fact that I was only looking for an estimate today. I was highly considering using American Remodeling until this extremely rude salesman made me feel like a prisoner inside of my own home. Made an appointment for a bathroom remodeling project estimate; the appointment was made through the York Home Show. When they called to confirm the appointment they insisted that both the husband and wife were present 'to discuss all the options'. I told Amber, the caller, that my wife had another appointment and they wanted to re-schedule the estimate. I told her that there was no need to speak with her since it was my idea and I knew all the things that we wanted done. She said for me to call back if I changed my mind and just hung up. After reading some of the other reviews, I'm glad that I didn't waste any more time with them. BTW I intended to pay all cash for the project, and didn't need to get financing. Wow! Just Wow! The guy "Larry" gave me an estimate the day after I called. He was responsive, answered all my questions, and was super nice. The workers were on time, they worked like they had a purpose , they actually were done right around the time i was told AND they cleaned up - never would have known they were there, except for the whole " new roof thing" lol.
