Not only is she a Doula, but she is also a natural childbirth instructor! We decided to take her 10 week Boot Camp on natural childbirth and are so glad we did! The course covers everything from nutrition, baby care, labor positions, pregnancy exercises, relaxation techniques, birthing options, and partner support. My husband and I learned so much and felt very confident and prepared for "Labor Day." Hiring Melissa to be our Doula was such a smart decision. On the morning that my daughter was born, Melissa came over to our house and helped me get in different positions to move and progress labor. She was there the entire time at the hospital, and encouraged me the whole way through. Melissa helped to make our birth experience everything we wanted it to be. Because of Melissa, we were able to have the natural birth that we had been dreaming of. I am so thankful!

My husband and I took her classes and followed her instructions in regards to exercise,diet, practicing visual and relaxation techniques. End result was I went to the hospital at midnight. I was at 10 cm at 3:00 A.M. and I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl at 3:22 A.M. During the prenatal visits Deb and Piper eased my fears about delivery and post partum recovery without my husband. Piper came to my home while I was in labor, earlier than probably needed because I couldn't get a hold of my husband and just wasn't coping emotionally . Throughout my short and intense labor I was coached, comforted, and provided with all sorts of pain/discomfort relieving tricks (those hip squeezes are magic). At the hospital they ensured my husband was called in, kept up to date, and also recorded a video of the birth when he lost his connection at the last minute. These ladies truly made my birth an amazing experience which I never expected to feel without my husband. Thank you QCBC!!

Telling me I don't get his 'course' for free and insisting I had not paid him and then minutes later telling me he found my payment must have been very hard for him to choke out. Calling it a technical error in response to my complaint to the state was laughable. Telling me my bank made a mistake was ludicrous and he started back peddling when I mentioned receipts. Banks are notoriously efficient in financial matters aren't they Roddy? Anyway, I'm done with the fool, I got my money back, he still has his little course and the world is much the same as it was before I ever heard of that little turd.

I already have an account on that website. The instructions only showed if you were a first time user. I have sent emails asking what are the streps and I did mention that the instructions given did not go with what I was seeing. I sent another email asking the person a question to see if I was in the right spot and what to fill in. I never got a response back. They say there are zero refunds. I can easily put a dispute on my credit card and get my charge back. I should do this since my course and test is worthless without that Tennessee website. I will not recommend this since they are unwilling to assist.

Heidi is the best of the best!…read more In our meetings prior to labor and delivery, she was easy to talk to and very supportive of my decisions and natural birthing goals. Heidi allowed me to share with her some of the trauma that I had from my first birth and prepared me for what to expect the second time with a Doula and being able to make informed decisions. The resources she shared with me (evidenced based articles, list of what to pack, how to cope with pain, Bible verses, etc.) all helped to prepare me mentally, physically and even spiritually for my upcoming "marathon". And once that "marathon" arrived, she was on point with everything, including her wisdom of when I should leave for the hospital. Thank goodness for that because my labor progressed very quickly! Once at the hospital, Heidi really orchestrated and worked in unison with my Midwife and my other support people. She kindly instructed my Mother and Husband how they could help and even could tell my water was about to break and warned the staff so I didn't make a complete mess of the room (It was in fact Christmas Eve, so one less thing to clean up was an added plus.) Heidi coached me through every step of the way and said just the right thing to motivate and comfort me to keep going. My husband held my hand and was by my side, while Heidi helped with technique to ease pain and her words were exactly what I needed to hear to stay strong. In short, Heidi was an answer to prayer. I highly recommend her to anyone expecting, no matter if it's un-medicated, medicated or a planned C-section. Heidi has great integrity, passion and heart in all she does and I am so thankful we made the choice to have her as our Doula. It made every bit of difference!
