Listing of classes are posted on their website and super easy to book especially if you are looking to book last minute. There are various days/times to choose from so that it is flexible with your schedule. I have been to National Safety Awareness for the past 5 of my BLS renewals with the educator Christina who is absolutely incredible -she is knowledgeable patient and kind which is very important to me as it makes it easier to ask questions or feel more empowered to join class conversation. Highly highly recommend!!

Honestly I wanted to love this class so bad. I went into this class really excited to learn and…read moreabsorb as much info as I could. Let me describe my experience from the top- its held in a tiny closet of a room Im not exaggerating, it's a closet. No windows, barely enough room for a few people to sit in. Secondly, for the money I paid I didn't feel it was worth it. The course felt superrrrr rushed. I left not really feeling actually trained, rather just told what to do. I really didn't leave this course feeling any more confident than when I went in, which was a major bummer. I would say I don't know where all these awesome reviews are coming from however I do- they second you walk in they make you subscribe to their youtube and when you leave make you fill out a survey and really push leaving a google review. If your looking to take a rushed course in a closet where someone just tells you what to do, this is the course for you. However if you are looking to feel more confident and trained on your ability to perform cpr in high stress scenarios...i'd skip if I were you.

Thank you for accommodating me late notice!…read more The flexibility helped me out because I needed recertification ASAP. They are super accessible and booking a class is super easy on the website. As long as you can make it up there and have gps, it's awesome. You'll get to meet people who have a similar profession to yours more than likely. Plus they had apple pie last time I went. The session flew and it was precisely the refresher I needed. If you have extra questions or need more practice, they'll be more than happy. It's always a good idea to update your skills. Hope you never need to use them, but it's better to know what you're doing in case you have to.

Although I just started volunteering as a receptionist at this location just the other day, I do…read moreknow a lot about this place and would like to share this information with all of you. If you know a little about the ARC, come by and volunteer. Most of this office's opportunities are volunteer only(although most are field-work spots), you pretty much help out at other places, but this is a large regional office for the newly-combined Dutchess and Ulster Co. branches. (There are some paid spots within the office, but for the most part, most of the office is volunteer work. These spots tend to be the "director-level/executive level spots for paid spots, but it all depends on the situation.) This location does take donations, however clothes are not acceptable donations at this location(an ARC location in Maryland does this). If you're not sure, call this location and find out. Money(checks and cash), and MoneyGram donations are accepted, as well as supplies such as water and the like, are also accepted here. Drop it by. You'll get a tax-donation receipt for any monetary donation you can give. The American Red Cross needs your help in any way you can. You might even benefit yourself, if you have lost something due to natural disasters(or need help looking for someone, even someone who is in the military). Also at this location, they have a transport ERV(Emergency Response Vehicle) that provides the supplies to needy emergencies, based on other factors which I'm not going to get into here. Another thing they have at this location is a blood donation center, which is open every day that the main location is open. Come to the front door(nearest the parked ERV-and up the few stairs), sign in to the guestbook(and later sign-out) and give some blood.
