Richmond Hill is an exceptional school. The atmosphere is calm and accepting of all students. The staff greet children with calm respectful voices. I have picked up at various times and the teachers are always engaged with the students and monitoring them. One of my favorite things is the lack of screens. There are no ipads or computers in the classrooms. The teachers are not on their phones EVER. I see pictures and get feedback in appropriate ways. I like that the adults need to respect the Montessori work area and refrain from barging into the classrooms. It shows the children that the adults respect their work as well. I have seen my daughter shout "NO!" at the teacher and the teacher calmly redirected her. It was AMAZING. I hope that the new owner continues with all the things I love about this school. It is refreshing to find a school that honors the Montessori principles. The staff and the director are impeccable. I would recommend this school to anyone and I am so thankful that we found it! Things I love best: 1. Environment is welcoming, safe, calm, and honors children. 2. The staff has high expectations for themselves and the students. 3. The director has high expectation of staff and families. 4. There are NO screens. (No ipads, no phones, no computers)

That gives us experience with 3 classrooms (2,4&7) and we have thoroughly enjoyed them all. Each room has a unique style and personality which seems to have matched with our children's personalities quite well. The school as a whole has been very supportive in every situation that has risen be it with potty training, pandemic response, separation anxiety, social concerns etc...The teachers we have love what they do and it shows. I'd say the same for the office manager and head of school. They are quick to respond and very helpful. The only thing we miss from our previous preschool is the private photo groups so we had a little more insight into the day. On the other hand at our previous school I saw teachers scrolling their phones multiple times with a class full of kids so I appreciate why that's not a priority here. Last year I felt a bit intimidated with the communication style but I think it has improved immensely since then. Academic wise we see a love of learning growing in our kids as well as increased confidence, independence, and pride in their accomplishments. I think it's safe to say everyone wants those things for their kids and I feel like their growth is really fostered here. It's great to see my kids to really hone in and focus on what interests them. All in all we are really excited to continue here, the kids love it and so do we.

Things went from good to worse depending on the behavior of the girl that would bully her and bully other students. The last time I talked about this to the school principal, she said that we needed to have "grace" for the girl that was a bully. After three years of this going on, that was the expectation. So my daughter could be bullied but the expectation for her was to have "grace" give the bully the "opportunity to learn from it". This knowing that other parents had complained about the same kid for several times. Now, she's at a school that holds the students accountable and has an actual policy against bullying and does not tolerate it.

Our four-year-old son was enrolled at Challenger School for less than 30 days before we were told,…read moreat 4:30 p.m. on a Friday, that he was no longer welcome. We were informed at enrollment that the school follows a three-strike policy for behavioral concerns. That policy was not followed. After one suspension and without any documented intervention plan, structured support, or reasonable adjustment period, we were asked to withdraw him. At four years old, children are still developing impulse control and self-regulation. If there were concerns about attention or impulsivity, we expected documented observations, a formal meeting, a written plan, and time to measure progress. None of that occurred. There was no behavior plan, no measurable goals, and no clear effort to support our child before removal became the solution. Most concerning was how these matters were handled. Conversations about our son's behavior were conducted by the campus director outside her office at the front desk, in a public area where families were entering and leaving. Sensitive discussions about a preschool-aged child should not take place in open, high-traffic spaces. We were told an "investigation" had occurred, yet no findings were ever shared. When we contacted the regional director to address our concerns, we received no response whatsoever. Financially, we were left with a $100 application fee, a $500 enrollment deposit, over $400 in required uniforms, a full first-month tuition payment, and an additional prorated tuition charge exceeding the standard monthly fee by more than $700. All of this for less than 30 days of attendance and no meaningful attempt at structured support. I will say that the two teachers in the 4's class were exceptional. They were warm, professional, and clearly dedicated to their students. Unfortunately, that is the only positive aspect of our experience. We enrolled in good faith expecting professionalism, consistency, and a developmentally appropriate environment. Instead, our preschool-aged child was removed without being given a fair opportunity to adjust. Families considering this school should ask detailed questions about how behavioral concerns are documented, how interventions are implemented, and how leadership handles sensitive matters. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this school.

She was such a bright, warm, engaging, thoughtful person and she gave us the tour. All the staff members I have met and talked to are above and beyond helpful. My little girl is very shy in the mornings and doesn't like being dropped off probably due to some anxiety / fight or flight response she is still developing, and they were very accommodating and went out of their way repeatedly to help her feel welcomed. Walter is amazing and has gone above and beyond for my girl as well. I also adore the lady that sits by check-in. Like I said, everyone has been so great. I give this place 5 stars and can't wait to bring my girl back, and especially can't wait to see her not so shy here. My daughter is always happy and has had a great day when I pick her up. She has no complaints other than being shy and nervous. A few of the kids that attend have also been so welcoming and friendly to her at drop off. I highly recommend this center! I'm editing my review since the language of the actual incident was apparently too inappropriate to post here. An older boy at this daycare put his hands and mouth on my young daughter (part of it was witnessed by a teacher!). Following the incident, the daycare refused to keep her out of the same classroom with the boy. I gave them a whole month to figure it out, but they ultimately decided to pull my daughter out of her classroom to walk around with the staff and help them empty trash from the classrooms. Victim-shaming and abuser cover-up at its finest. Legal action is pending. STEER CLEAR OF THIS FACILITY for the safety of your children! There is an open state licensing investigation in progress as they didn't follow any protocols for the incident.

Comparing different daycares can feel like comparing apples to oranges, so let me summarize the things that make PPMA stand apart from the rest. - The staff are valued and supported. This translates to excellent care for your children. - Montessori principles. Within one week my toddler excelled at independent play and drinking from an open cup. His confidence soared. - Outside play twice a day (weather permitting). Being outside is our son's favorite thing, and I can't believe he was cooped up all day at the previous daycare. - Handmade meals and an open kitchen. No secrets, no nonsense, just wholesome and filling food! - Reasonable tuition. I can't believe we were paying more at our previous daycare for so much less. These are the biggest differences we've noticed in just a week here. Most importantly our son is happier and we are so grateful!

My girls started attending in preschool, and like many moms, I was anxious about the transition to a new school. We are Frisco residents and make the commute to Plano daily. The teachers are excellent and are attentive, nurturing, and truly invested in each child. Both of my girls have grown tremendously, not only academically but also in confidence. The lesson plans are thoughtfully designed to build strong foundational skills and prepare students to become highly capable readers by the time they graduate. My only gripe is that the school doesn't go beyond kindergarten :( I'm genuinely sad it stops there! From the cleanliness of the bright classrooms to the enrichment classes offered and the nutritious meals provided, everything feels thoughtfully curated for my girls.
