I am completely blown away by PPMA. We left our prior daycare due to concerns regarding negligence, poor nutrition, and lack of staff support. Comparing different daycares can feel like comparing apples to oranges, so let me summarize the things that make PPMA stand apart from the rest. - The staff are valued and supported. This translates to excellent care for your children. - Montessori principles. Within one week my toddler excelled at independent play and drinking from an open cup. His confidence soared. - Outside play twice a day (weather permitting). Being outside is our son's favorite thing, and I can't believe he was cooped up all day at the previous daycare. - Handmade meals and an open kitchen. No secrets, no nonsense, just wholesome and filling food! - Reasonable tuition. I can't believe we were paying more at our previous daycare for so much less. These are the biggest differences we've noticed in just a week here. Most importantly our son is happier and we are so grateful! read more

We brought our daughters here at age 3 & 4 when their other Montessori school closed abruptly. Everyone- the owner, administrative staff, and teachers have gone out of their way to welcome us and provide a wonderful learning environment for our girls. The facility is great with a shaded playground and nice classrooms. Also, as gay dads in Texas we are always a little cautious when looking into communities for our kids. If you are considering to enroll your child at Preston Park Montessori in Plano, please take the time to read the most recent, bad reviews as the ownership changed in 2021 and the previous, good reviews under Pam Jindal, were written before the new owner, Natasha Jamal, took over this school. Ever since Natasha took over ownership, we, the parents, have witnessed 10 veteran teachers quit, month after month. If this is not a red flag about her management skills, I don't know what is. The awesome headmaster, Ms. Dinna, was the first to leave. I have developed a close and personal relationship with most of these veteran teachers, as they took good care of my son. I learned from these now former teachers that they were mistreated and could no longer endure the negative environment at Preston Park. All 10 teachers who quit have now been replaced by less qualified and inexperienced ones. In addition, Natasha has raised our tuition 3 times in the short amount of time she has been there. Not only was I paying over $400 more than I did in 2021, there are sneaky hidden fees such as surcharges for extra days in a month. I had her explain these charges to me but ultimately, it never made any sense. With every tuition increase Natasha claimed the fees were aligned with rates in the surrounding area. Well, after touring many other schools in the area, I found out her justification was false and it is now painfully obvious to me that she cares more about her profit than the children. Ms. Rama, my son's wonderful teacher (and just 1 of 2 veterans who have remained) is the only reason why I didn't terminate my son's enrollment earlier. Finally when I submitted the termination letter, Natasha bullied me via email and told me which school in the area I can or cannot enroll my son at due to some absurd non-compete agreement she made them sign. I'm certain this review will be answered by Natasha with a snarky attempt of a rebuttal as she has posted on others who spoke the truth. But I, along with the other concerned mothers, hope that taking the time to write this helps you make a favorable decision for your child. read more

I have already left a review on Google, but I love this place so much that I wanted to leave an additional review on another service. Preston Park Montessori has been amazing for our two year old son. The facilities are clean, the staff are warm and friendly, and management is wonderful. Every staff member knew our son by first name within a week of him being there. I am greeted warmly when I enter and always informed of any pertinent information as it relates to our son. Since starting here, our child has grown, cognitively and emotionally by leaps and bounds. His lexicon in both English and Spanish has just exploded and his capacity for empathy and sympathy seem to know no bounds. Meals are prepared fresh and the children are encouraged and rewarded for demonstrating good eating habits (stickers for the win!). When we applied we just needed to find a daycare that was closer to my work (I had recently relocated). What we found, mostly by luck, was a wonderful place where our child continues to grow as he is nurtured and loved while he is away from us. Preston Park Montessori is simply the best! read more

We have been SO happy with our school choice for both of our children (8 months and almost 3 years). The teachers and staff are welcoming and take the time to get to know our family as a whole. We have loved ALL the teachers that our kiddos have gotten to have over the past 2.5 years. Ms. Natasha along with her staff are the reason we send our kids to this school. I want to start by saying thank you to everyone at this school. Starting from the director to her assistant, to the teachers, and everyone else that's involved. It took us 5 schools until we found Preston Park Montessori. From the first time we came to tour the school, everyone had welcomed my 3 yr old son and I with a smile and "hello". This is Lennox first time going to any daycare or school so I was worried that he would have a hard time adjusting, but to my surprise he loves it at PPM. He loves his classmates and especially his favorite teacher, Mrs. Bannesfah! She is such a wonderful, sweet, most caring person. He would give her a big hug when I dropped him off in the morning. His vocabulary has gotten bigger and he started talking more :) He was such a picky eater at home but since starting here he even eats more and different foods too. I am so impressed with PPM. Unfortunately, we have to leave because we are moving quite far away. I hope we can find another school just as great as PPM. I would highly recommend PPM to anyone. My son begin attending this center at the age of six weeks. He will be 4 December 2016. The love care and support that my son and I have received over the last four years have been tremendous! The teachers and curriculum go above what is expected in most centers. I am thankful to have found Preston Park and I'm grateful for all that my son has learned throughout the years and for the care that they have given to my son while I worked as most parents do. My kids have been going here since April 2014. My oldest had such a hard time adjusting. But Ms. Reva (then Asst. Director) and Ms. Pam (Owner) took such strains to love on her and just surround her with so much tender care. She was not just another kid in the school. They spend so much time with her and got to know her and placed her with Ms. Praneeta who then took care of her and literally coddled her and eased her into the class. Both my girls love going to Preston Park. My youngest has to be the biggest fan of Ms. Josephine ( or as they call her with love Ms. Jojo!). Ms Pam is not a typical owner who's all About making money, she will get in her hands and knees and play with the kids. I have seen her go in and help the infants class, feeding babies, putting them to sleep as if they were her own. She has such a grace to be soft as a mother's love and firm to discipline as well. There are ppl who will yell at the kids. But u try handling 20+ kids all running in 4 different directions. It takes yelling at times for your voice to be heard. These teachers are far more forgiving and gentle than many I have seen in other schools. I am so happy I found this school for my girls. Thank you PPMA for loving and caring for my angels. My daughter attended this school before moving to Public school. She is doing wonderful now thanks to the fundamental learning she got from PPMA. Now our son goes here and is doing great. We love this place, the teachers and the director. The same teachers that taught my daughter are now teaching my son. The turn around rate of teachers at this place is real low. The school is clean and has fresh air (unlike other places that smell of diapers). They use very little processed meats and fresh fruits and veges are served more often than boxed stuff. Wonderful school! We have a 4.5 year old and a 20 month old who have both started as infants. The teachers have been at the school a long time and are very loving and nurturing. My children have made wonderful relationships with their teachers and other students. The teachers have become like family to us. The administration is always available to discuss any concerns we may have and bend over backwards to make sure that we feel comfortable leaving our children in their care. It will be very hard to leave the school once our children start elementary school! read more

We have been part of this school for 6 years. I have two boys, one who is now in third grade and started when he was three and one who is finishing his time with Preston Park. My boys are as different as children can be! The older one left the school and excelled. All the advice Ms. Seema gave me about his learning habits were (and still are) incredibly useful. My younger son has difficulty concentrating and can be easily overwhelmed. The staff has nurtured him the best they can and do everything in their power to make this the best learning environment for him. I work long days and can easily say this staff is like family to my children. They treat my son that is still in their care how I would want him treated. The school did not keep all parents informed about the situation and the ones they did inform, they left out major details. Both my daughter and son attend and we couldn't be more pleased! Sweet natured, loving teachers have had such a positive impact on them. Both always happy and smart -- my daughter already reads at 5 and my 2 year-old-son surprises me daily with achievements like counting to 12. My youngest daughter is graduating from PPMA next month and then will be starting kindergarten! Both my children spent their first 4.5 years of life at PPMA while I worked during the week days, and this staff is like family to us. These women (and the man who runs the kitchen who my daughter says makes "famous mac and cheese") helped me raise my two kids in many ways. My oldest daughter just finished 6th grade and was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society -- I credit that partially to the tremendous start she got at PPMA. Both my kids are well-socialized, active learners who received a lot of positive reinforcement for these characteristics at PPMA. I am so happy with Preston Montessori, Specially madam Sultana in the class 06-12 months. She is like angel in my life, my daughter is very fussy eater she does not eat much at home . I moved my daughter to Preston Park Montessori Academy at the beginning of September and we love it!! She is four and it had recently become obvious that she needed a new school environment and I can't be more pleased with my choice. The difference I see in my daughter is beyond amazing. She is so happy and is thriving in an environment where she is nurtured and loved for being her. The school work she brings home is very neat and well done. She was already writing her own name, however her penmanship has improved immensely. Further, she is now spelling other words as well and she is starting to read words on her own. And instead of just counting numbers she is adding and subtracting them on her own. The director is present every day, either in the morning or the evening to greet both parents and children, and her door is always open. My daughter has two trained teachers in her classroom, instead of a teacher and an assistant. The teachers and staff are patient and kind and my daughter loves them all. In just a few weeks time the stress I was feeling every day, wondering how my daughter was doing and whether I would get a call from her school is gone. My daughter is both emotionally and academically in a better place and we are looking forward to an exciting school year. read more

I am blown away by my son's school on a daily basis!!!! This is my second review that I've left that's how incredible this school is!!!! The teacher's go above and beyond with the care and education they provide. I have so much trust in the teacher's on several occasions I have left my son with several of them when I used to work on Saturday's. My son has been attending since he was 3 months old and will be turning four in December. Currently pregnant with my second he will most certainly be joining when time with his brother. I have an 18mnth old and a 5 yr old. We visited with Preston Park Montessori for 2 days(a Thursday and Friday) before deciding to go full-time the next week. Three days into the first week, I began to feel it was not a good fit for us. Unfortunately, I had paid on the first day for the whole month (4 weeks). By Thursday of the first week, I decided to find a different place and let them know that we wished to withdraw. They said there was a notice period of 2 weeks to withdraw (which was somewhere in the Handbook but I didnot know). They said they would let me know if they could refund my money the week after. The second week, I call a couple of times and the director was out so no decision could be made. The third week i call a couple of times and they said they would refund the money but since it had already been deposited, could I please wait a week. The fourth week I call a couple or more times, and they finally tell me that they cannot refund the money except for ONE week. Note that for 4 weeks they did not have the courtesy to return my calls and I had to hound them and leave numbers and messages. They kept me waiting for 4 weeks and then decided they would charge me for the ONE week my 2 kids were actually there (which is fair) and for TWO weeks that they weren't (notice period). Not a small amount of money for 2 children!!!!! Few things about the daycare itself....The teachers have been here a long time and food is fresh and cooked onsite. The preschoolers are well taught. They do watch TV for 30 minutes on Fridays, even the toddlers. I felt the toddler room was very small and crowded for the number of kids in there. I was told the toddler room ratio would be 2:12. I walked in during naptime one day and saw 1 teacher and 17(or more) kids sleeping on mats on the floor with several of them crying. I know this is allowed in the state minimum but i paid for my child to be looked after 1/6th of the time. Parents need to know that they will switch between their advertised ratios and state minimums when convenient (to them). Extremely unhappy with the way they handled this. We have been to at least four other daycares (all NAEYC Accredited) in other states and every one of them has been willing to go out of their way to work with the parents. read more

Both my daughter (now in kindergarten) and my son have attended ppma. We love this school. The staff has proven to be the most caring group of women; they truly have a passion for the children. The education has been great, and my daughter was very well prepared for kindergarten. My son is always clean at the end of the day when I pick him up, and the school reflects his cleanliness. The building itself is bright, clean, welcoming, and organized, and all staff members are professional, caring, and enthuasiastic. Pam Jindal and the rest of the PPMA family care about children, from greeting parents and children each morning to providing kids with a snack for the ride home as they leave for the day. Everyone that works at Preston Park Montessori Academy possesses an infectious level of energy and love for children, specifically Ms. Jindal, who is always available to visit with parents, answer questions, and address any concerns. She also visits classrooms on a daily basis. Ms. Jindal is truly involved with the children, teachers, and parents. And the teachers, wow! I started my daughter at this school at 6 weeks old. I was very scared to leave her because this was my first child and she was so little. However the teachers treated her like their own. They have an amazing staff! Not only is it super clean but they will provide a sheet of diaper changes and things which my child had done all throughout the day. I always felt informed about my child and knew she was in great care. They would tell me when it was time to change her to baby food instead of just milk and when she needed TUMMY TIME. The entire staff knows all the children's names and are very sweet. I took my child to another facility due to we had moved and my child had gotten sick at the new facility almost once a week. I tried it out at the new school for 6 months. I moved back in the area just to allow my child to attend PPMA because she loves the school and never had a problem with being sick due to their facility always being clean. They are open from 6:30am until 6:30pm and I am the first parent in the morning and let me tell you they are always on time and ready for my child that early in the morning. The meals for the children are fresh and healthy. My child is 2 and is counting on her fingers and is learning so much in the little time frame since she has been back. The teachers really work on toddlers following the rules and I have seen an improvement in her tantrums due to the discipline that the teachers provides through time out and other creative ways. My granddaughter has been going here since 2013 (when she was 3 months old) and still attends. I can not say enough about the wonderful, professional staff and the kind, nurturing teachers. I have been at the school at various times during the day and have found the teachers to always be encouraging and sensitive to the needs of the children in their care. The staff and teachers interact with each other and the parents with a refreshing openness and sincerity. My granddaughter has experienced a nurturing, intellectually stimulating and fun environment. Also, though it does not matter, my granddaughter is white. Someone wrote a nasty, bigoted review about only "Indian" children being at this school. I assure you Asian, Black, Hispanic and White children are all attending and equally loved. It is exactly this type of diversity that will help my granddaughter to succeed at school, work and life in general. This diversity also helps to eradicate racist beliefs and insure a more peaceful future for all of our children.
