We moved into our present house and with a few months I needed to have surgery that put me in a wheelchair for 6 months. It got to the point where I needed help keeping the house clean, so again, I called Magnifica. They come in weekly now, like a mini-tornado, washing, vacuuming, dusting and mopping. It had been years since I had a cleaning service so I told him I wanted to continue to look around. He was not pushy and was very polite. I got quotes from other companies and individuals. I looked on yelp, thumbtack, and nextdoor app.. I went through many different avenues. All the quoted amounts I received were pretty similar, but his professionalism, detailed estimate, and punctuality made me choose his company. The day prior to the service he emailed me the invoice as well as the time the crew would be at my house. The following day 3 ladies and a supervisor arrived exactly when he said they would and they got started immediately. They cleaned my house for about 5 hours. I came to check on them at one point and they were hand washing the windows, had the oven and stove top apart and meticulously cleaning it, and on a ladder cleaning the vents. They were all friendly and came off kind as well. When they were finished we did the walk through together and all I can say is that I was incredibly impressed. Just a few things that pleasantly surprised me were, the old school hand washing of the windows, removed everything off the shelves and cleaned under the items/organized them, cleaned the washing machine, even dusted the bed frames.. Just things I didn't even think about and never do.. my husband also went around and checked every switch and baseboard.. every surface was clean. My house now feels cleaner than the day we moved in and we love it. We are scheduled for future services and looking forward to them. Thank you so much! **AVOID GREENSWEEP - Complete Disregard for Home Security and Terrible Customer Service**…read more I strongly recommend against using GreenSweep for your home cleaning needs. My experience with this company was incredibly disappointing, not only because of a serious security oversight, but because of how management chose to handle it afterward. After GreenSweep finished cleaning my home, their technicians left my front screen door WIDE OPEN, with the wooden front door behind it UNLOCKED. I only discovered this because my Ring doorbell notified me of activity when the mailman arrived. Concerned that my home was unsecured, I had to immediately leave work to return home and investigate. When I arrived, the screen door was still wide open, and I was able to walk directly into my house without a key. I had intentionally left the wooden door unlocked before the service as a precaution to ensure the cleaners could access the house if needed. However, I reasonably expected a professional cleaning company to secure the home upon departure, or at the very least CLOSE THE FRONT DOOR. What made this experience substantially worse was GreenSweep's response. Rather than taking meaningful responsibility for the security risk, management emphasized that I hadn't provided specific written instructions to lock the doors. Apparently, GreenSweep believes that securing a client's home requires explicit instructions rather than being a basic expectation of professional service. I understand that employees make mistakes. My primary frustration isn't with the cleaning technicians themselves. It's with management's handling of the situation. When a company is entrusted with access to someone's home, there should be basic procedures in place to ensure the property is left secure. After raising my concerns and providing Ring doorbell footage, GreenSweep declined any compensation for the completed service and instead offered a "$50 credit toward a future cleaning". In other words, their proposed gesture of goodwill required me to hire them again after they had already lost my trust. The response felt dismissive, focused more on explaining away responsibility than acknowledging the seriousness of the situation. **The bottom line:** If you hire GreenSweep, understand that you may need to explicitly instruct them to close and secure your doors when they leave. And if something goes wrong, don't expect management to take the level of accountability you might reasonably expect from a company entrusted with your home. I will not be using GreenSweep again, and I strongly discourage others from trusting them with their homes.
