It was like meeting a celebrity for me! lol. Beyond that - the food is always great. Fun to watch the cornhole games. Listen to the music. I highly recommend coming out to support the VFW and enjoy Freedom Fest.

It offers tables for people to sit at, an area for food to be served, a dance floor and enough room for a DJ. Since there is no bartender, you can hire your own. This place also has a small bar area for he or she to work at and a place for guests to get their drinks from. Everyone had a great time and would personally be keeping this place in mind in the future for anyone who needs advice on where to have a graduation party or host any event of that kind.

A friend group hosted a craft night here recently and we had such a great time. Board & Brush is a franchise, but this particular one is run by a family of folks that are just so warm and welcoming that it feels like coming to a workshop in someone's home. We all pre-selected the crafts we wanted to make before the event (every one could choose their own, and there's a fairly wide range of things to make), and by the time we arrived, everything was prepped and ready to go. Even if we all chose different things to make, we were given clear and easy directions so that no one ever felt lost. Best yet, if we made any uh-ohs or mistakes, expert hands were always nearby with a fix. I'm accustomed to crafting spots that require you to leave your item there for a night or two to try or process. It means an extra trip out, which can be annoying if you're not from the area. I loved that there was no such wait time with our crafts here. The making-and-processing time was enough during the event slot that we could all take our new charcuterie boards, signboards, and baskets home that very night. Thanks to our night there, I now have a handsome custom wooden tray in our living room that I can proudly point to as a piece of decor I made from scratch (well, sort of). Prices of crafts depend on type, difficulty of prep, and optional add-ons. The space inside has a ton of ready-made signs for inspiration (all of which I learned is actually for sale). Though they're located on a Main Street, there was a good amount of street spots available, and then a nearby lot for additional parking.

The assistants were so helpful in explaining everything and answering any questions. They explained different stains to use on our wood that would look best for the project and colors that we chose. They were very attentive. I spent about three hours there and it was well worth it. I'm already setting up another weekend to go. It was Nice to go from an empty " canvas" to see your work of art done. I highly recommend this place. We brought own food with snacks, but no alcohol lol ( as other groups did). I will say if you're looking for something fun and engaging this is definitely the place and activity to do. It is definitely pricey but worth it! So what are you waiting for? DO NOT COME HERE! RACIST TOWARDS WHITE PEOPLE (LOOK AT REVIEWS / They are all in on it)…read more Extremely disappointing and confusing experience. When we arrived, the front desk employee couldn't give us a clear price for two games--first $86, then $55--and had to call a manager for clarification. We were ultimately charged $19 without a clear explanation of how the pricing worked. (Before we even did anything we got charged 19) We saw an advertised promotion for "Play two games, get the third 50% off." We played three games and requested the advertised deal when checking out. The employee didn't know how to handle it, and a manager then told us the promotion was only available if it was requested upfront. That restriction was not clearly stated on the advertisement. Despite explaining this, the manager repeatedly insisted that the employee "should have told us." We were then charged $180 for three games. This raises serious concerns about misleading advertising, unclear pricing practices, and potentially discriminatory treatment of customers. If a promotion has restrictions or conditions, those terms should be clearly disclosed to customers. Based on other customer complaints, this does not appear to be an isolated issue. I will be reporting this experience to the appropriate consumer-protection authorities and the BBB. Save yourself the frustration--DO NOT GO HERE. (Looks like they have this in the past (going back 6+ years) going to see if I can file legal matters against the bowling ally and especially the lady who was dressed as a regular person. She did not state she worked there or any apparel that was work related) plus BBB had multiple reports of this business in the past which leaves them open for business malpractice lawsuit (we will see in time)

The place is kids friendly. They use ambient neon lighting that looks really cool. We were there to attend a birthday party. There were lots of parking spots available right next to the alley. Renting the bowling shoes was easy process. The lanes were in good condition. Plenty of balls of different sizes and weight were available. The scoring system was also functional. They had some bowling slides available to assist the kids with bowling. The pins were attached to strings, so it felt little bit unnatural the way pins were falling down. The food was decent. Pizza and wings were good. I liked the lemonade they server, though I think it was just Minute Maid, not handmade. Overall I really liked the alley. In future, I'd bring my daughter to this location if she ever want to bowl again.

I was looking for a rental hall to host my sister's baby shower and found New Milford Elks Lodge a…read moregreat candidate when doing a simple google search of the area. I easily found contact information for booking and was able to schedule a visit to see the space in person for the next day. Upon meeting Richard, we were told that they charge one set price, about $400, for less than 75 people, and then about $500 for more than 75 guests. They allow you to bring outside food or have your caterer cook in their kitchen, but do not allow you to bring any drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.. even water. That was the first downer. We asked if we could put pitchers of tap water on the tables, and he said no. I thought this was a little ridiculous, but his reasoning was that their rental prices were set low, so they needed to charge for drinks to make a profit. We were also told we were not allowed to tape anything to the dry wall, which greatly limits the amount/type of decorations you can use. A short contract was handed to us and we were on our way. We were allowed to set up the night prior to the event. They have standard round tables and rectangular tables for your use, including chairs, as long as you can set it up yourself. In terms of the round tables, I thought they were in fair/good condition, but the chairs they had came in 2 different colors (brown and black) and really threw off the aesthetic since they didn't all match. We made due with what we were offered. On the day of the party, communication between us and Richard fell extremely short. We were not told when we could set up, so we arrived about 1.5 hours early to the start of the party to set up assuming someone would be there to let us in. No one was there, so we were left to wait in the parking lot until the bartender arrived. Once the party began, we were told that we were going to be charged the higher price for more than 75 people because we set up a 10 tables, which is 80 chairs when put 8 per table. The bartender went on to explain they can't count heads, so they count how many chairs we set up and that he would have to communicate with his manager in order to decrease the price back to the lower price. This is understandable, but if this was clearly communicated to us, we would have been happy to set up only 74 or so chairs.. which would leave a table with less chairs and would look odd. After some discussion, we were able to get things sorted out and cleaned up at the end of the party. On the positive side, the parking lot has ample parking and they clean up chairs/tables at the end of your event. For what it's worth, I think this space did the job, but I would hesitate to recommend this elks lodge to a friend.
