The house isn't there anymore, but his spirit lives on in the walls of this American Legion. There are occasional rockabilly shows here and the public is welcome. I don't know if it's open to the public the rest of the time. The drinks are stiff and cheap, the bartenders are friendly and heavy handed. The sound system for shows is excellent and there is a big wood dance area. The patrons are cool and the music is always good. They truly went above & beyond for us to ensure we had a successful day. Although the venue is currently being updated, but we had no issues making the most of the space. The venue has easily accessible clean restrooms & doors remained open thru out the day for smooth air flow. We were even able to fit a large jumper outside for all the kiddos to play safely away from the parking lot. That gave all the parents a lot of peace of mind. Originally Esperanza was assigned to me , but she was asking me "how bad do I need the…read moreappointment", and she "can see me sooner if I need to (see her sooner)" , rather than tell me what her availability was outright . I need to be seen just as bad as all the other vets there and I don't know her schedule , she does . How am I supposed to know what her soonest avail is . And why should I beg to be seen sooner than later ? She was flipping thru papers making off hand remarks while she had me in the phone and her attention wasn't on me. Making statements like she "has so much going on " that doesn't have anything to do with me or my care , letting me know I'm the afterthought and barely important while she had me in the phone . I requested another counselor . Now Roy had called me and left a VM today . I called the front desk and was transferred to him . His distinctive voice said "I'm putting you on hold , I'm with someone at the moment " then he placed my call on hold , then he called me , I had his incoming call while being placed on hold by him . I sayy I just spoke to you , he said "no " I said you just put me on hold , he says "no " He said it wasn't him I spoke to , it was the front desk , he said he didn't JUST SPEAK TO ME DENIED IT AND DENIED PLACING ME ON HOLD . And sticking to his story while he could have said easily "ohhh I'm sorry I didn't realize it was you " ect he did not , he LIE ABOUT BEING WITH ANOTHER PATIENT , put me on hold , and then LIE ABOUT PUTTING ME ON HOLD AND JUST SPEAKING WITH ME TWI SECONDS AGO blaming the front desk like I can't recognize his little high pitch voice . When i spoke to director he expressed to me the counselors are "good Guys" furthering denial of the mistreatment, offering me the national number , (707) 646-2988 ask me to speak to John bucholz (?) tii on which I called and no such person by that name or title was known via the operator who answered .
