They went out and did service on a house I have not owned for over a year and charge me for the service. A real scam.

I engaged American Lawn Care after reading several reviews and visiting its website. I fired American Lawn Care today because of its lack of communication regarding planned and delayed services. I should have fired them immediately after its crew left our gate open and let our dogs out to roam the neighborhood. I do not recommend your engagement of this company if you value your dogs or scheduled lawn maintenance services. read more

While mowing and edging our lawn a window was broken. The guys doing the work admitted to doing it and said a manager would contact me to get it taken care of. The manager didn't call. I had to call the company almost a dozen times to reach someone and they refuse to pay for the window. read more

My wife hired american lawn care last spring and this was our previous house. We had signed up for fertilization and weed control. The lawn technicians were wonderful to work with. Spring 2020 we will be calling to set up service on our new home. We noticed their pricing is a few bucks more expensive than other companies, but for good reason. They never mow when it's raining and they show up every week on the same day, they also offer easy pay so we never have to worry about payment. The office is on top of communication and we even get emails when our fertilization is completed! Great job and we will see you soon read more

High quote for service, showed up like they couldn't care less. On top of all that their trailer has a huge American flag as their logo (against US Flag Code to use the flag for advertising.) I find this highly dis-respectful to vets. Seems to using the flag to appeal over the top patriotic and make money on it, sad. read more

I contracted American Lawn Care Pros because I was leaving the country for a 3 month assignment to Taiwan. I am very particular about my yard and indicated that point when discussing the quote. My wife was in Taiwan for 3 weeks and arrived home May 3, 2018 to a dead lawn! I had over-communicated to the main office by email and voicemail all information necessary to turn our sprinkler system on. However, when my wife arrived home it had not been turned on. We were told it was a miscommunication and an oversight. The day she arrived home the mowers were here getting ready to mow the dead lawn to charge us another weekly fee. Mowers never told the office something was up. Not their job, not their problem I guess. Not much of an apology for this either. I am home now (July) I have so many dead spots that are full of broad leaf weeds. To say I am disappointed after paying ~$250 per month is an understatement. I asked for a quote for bark, took them a month. Indicated it would be $550. I asked for a discount due to the lawn damage. Nothing! I went to Victory Greens Nursery after getting home and am having 4 yards delivered for $215. $335 for labor seems rather high. I should have read the other online reviews before hiring them. read more

They do their best to listen to our wants and needs. I gave these guys a try for the 2017 season crossing my fingers that this company would do everything that they claimed they would. My wife and I met with them just before spring and specifically asked when we met if they did the mowing AND weeding of which they replied "Yes" we do. I also asked if that weeding was "pulling out the weeds, or just spraying" of which they replied that they physically "pull them out". I mentioned to them that if they saw problems with the yard, specifically sprinkler issues (broken head, clogged nozzels), to go ahead and fix them while they are there and put it on my monthly bill. "No Problem" I was told. I asked about "lawn striping" (just a tool to place on the back of the mower to make those back and forth stripes you see), they said that they were introducing that this year and that they would do it . Perfect, your hired. Boy was that a mistake. I was promised service every Friday. I had scheduled a spring cleanup which was delayed due to weather, and they did do a great job but the price was about 50% more than I expected. I asked about it, but felt that the job looked good enough and I wanted to see how the rest of the year went. After we get past April, I started to notice weeds in the beds. Not just the little ones, but these were getting pretty large. I picked a few, threw them on the lawn and hoped they would "notice" during their next round. They picked them up, but didn't weed the beds again so I tried to call. No response, then I wrote an email. They have an office number but you can't reach anyone there. I had to write emails to get any responses. Finally I was told that they do NOT pick weeds, they only spray them and if I wanted the weeds picked, they would have to send out another crew, different than the guys that service my home. Of course, this would be at my cost as well. I said, "no, that's not what we agreed to" but that was their policy. Meanwhile, no lawn striping either, just mow, blow and go once again. To put the icing on the cake, I have another landscape company come over to my home this past weekend to plant some more trees and shrubs and tune up my sprinkler system (add a couple of heads, raise a few up etc.). While they were there, these guys show up to mow the lawn (which they already pushed me a day out for the almost non-existent rain we got) on Saturday morning. They didn't even stop, they just drove by, saw the other landscaping companies truck in my driveway, called their office told them what they saw, and their office manager emails me immediately, not calls me, but emails me and says we're cancelled because they figured I had another landscaping service. My thoughts are that they have grossly overbooked and now they have to get rid of customers to save face. Apparently, we were the "squeeky wheels" so they looked for any excuse to cancel out. Unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and run away from these guys fast. The flags and the shiny trucks are nice, but they sure do not do what they promise and to outright cancel someone with no notice is just bad business. read more

I needed a move out mow, trim and clean up done. Spoke with Rich, and scheduled the work. Great people and very reasonable priced. Rich took before and after photos, and sent them to me, as I had moved before work was being done. Looked great, better than I expected.
