Hands down the BEST place to hang out in Davis Square! Everything about this place is wonderful: the food, the laid-back and fun atmosphere and the local brews are awesome. The staff are exceptionally phenomenal: they always make you feel welcome and are super helpful when trying out new drinks or different types of flatbreads. Whether you're there to bowl, grab a drink, or try a flatbread, everything is tasty, affordable, and guaranteed a fun time. The old Sacco's bowling alley has come a long way. They took out some lanes and the pool tables to put in a bar and the Flatbread Company, which was a great move. The pizza here is pretty great, as is evidenced by the lines at dinner time. The homemade sausage and buffalo chicken pizzas are tasty - and prices are reasonable. read more

We called ahead that morning to get on the go to "the list". When we got there there was only a 20 minute wait for a lane. That was just enough time to have a couple of rounds and loosen up before the bowling. Once we were situated with a lane we ordered pizza and more drinks. Great atmosphere and a lot of space. Not what you'd think of for a pizza place at a bowling alley - this is modern, clean, and there's separation from bowling and dining. You can get pizza while bowling or feel like you're at a restaurant. Sundays is family so so lots of kids, but the pizza and drinks are great nonetheless. I've been to flatbread on many occasions now and have always left happy. I love the style of their pizza and the fun and creative toppings. The Kalua pork pizza is definitely the best in my opinion - and I've tried a lot of their pizzas. But always check out their specials, some of their veggie special pizzas have been great as well. Also, they have a nice selection of beers and at a good price. I've stayed for bowling a couple of times. Just plan ahead and call before to reserve a lane cause it's usually packed. read more

Delicious pizza cooked in a cool wood burning oven. Lots of local beers but no coors light or any light beer, it's always nice to have a choice. My biggest complaint was that we got there at 7 and the wait for bowling was till 11, the bar wasn't even that full so I don't know why it took so long to get a lane. read more

I had my birthday party here this past weekend, which was the perfect combination of delicious drinks and childhood style fun. The pizza was really tasty. Their drinks were good, but I would have hoped to see a bigger selection of cocktails after the hype I had heard about this place. But best of all is candle-pin bowling. No one is good at it, which equals a hilarious minimally competitive time for all. This is a great spot to hit up with a group of 8-10 people for a really fun night. read more

Flatbreads is my favorite pizza place, as I grew up going to the Amesbury location, and I'm so glad there's a location in Davis Square. The thin-crust, oven-baked flatbreads are delicious, organic, and full of flavor. The desserts are also quite delicious. A great place for special occasions with friends, although it can get pretty loud. Haven't tried the bowling alley yet, but it's a cool addition to the atmosphere. read more

I don't want to be too redundant but this place is fantastic. After having lived in Middlebury and routinely gone to the one there (although not part of the franchise) and the ones in Burlington/Amesbury I was thrilled that one was opening near where I live now. I was not disappointed. It was everything I love about Flatbread plus a super hip bowling alley that wasn't annoying at all (and we were seated right next to it). I mainly wanted to say that I noticed that all of the bad service posts were from when Flatbread first opened. Service was smooth and excellent last night so I think they must have worked those kinks out. Coming from other locations where I was used to having to wait an hour for our pizzas (and an hour and a half for a table) I was pleasantly surprised by how fast we were served and that we could sit down immediately! I've been to other Flatbread locations in the past, and this one is just as good as any of them. The cool thing about this location is the fact that there's also a candlepin bowling alley in the place. Upon first entering, I thought the bowling noise would be overpowering in the restaurant area. I was completely surprised. There was no bowling noise in the dining room at all. Flatbreads are always a somewhat noisy atmosphere, but the bowling noise was not at all audible. The food was great. We ordered the special vegetarian pizza, which was a Margherita and a Somerville Community Pizza with added red sauce. read more

I am a HUGE fan of the salads here; I always order one to share with my friends, but end up eating 90% of it, because it so good (and because I have unhealthy friends, apparently)! The bleu cheese is particularly awesome, as is the dressing. The pizza here is good, but I wouldn't rate it as stellar. This was my go to place in Burlington and I would dream about it when making plans to visit them. When they opened within a reasonable distance to my house, I was ecstatic. To boot, they chose Saccos as the location which holds great memories for me. Who doesn't want awesome pizza and bowling at the same time? The restaurant took great lengths to incorporate touches from the old bowling alley into the restaurant like using the wood for the bar. The pizza rocks! Literally the best pizza I've ever had! We ordered one of the specials, buffalo chicken pizza. It was sooooo delicious! It was the perfect amount of buffalo, blue cheese, chicken, red onions, cheese, and arugula. Can't wait to come back. All ingredients are organic and fresh. This pizza is insanely good! We've had the homemade sausage variety, as well as a create your own with tomato sauce + onions + sausage + mushrooms. They were both awesome! Extremely poor customer service. The waitress didn't check on us once and when she finally came with the bill saying "looks like everything was great," we had to inform her the order was incorrect! We were brought ice cold, wet plates to eat our pizza on. The "regular" pizza was OK, but we went there specifically for the vegan, gluten-free option for someone in our party and that one was terrible. They only managed to get a tiny bit of vegan cheese on less than half the pie, forgot to eliminate onions, and the whole thing was overcooked - with no apology or concern whatsoever. Additionally, when we arrived they told us we were being placed on the list for bowling after our pizza. They never followed through and then informed us it was our fault. We'd have to wait another two hours, and they were again, not apologetic or concerned and blamed us. read more

Not only is the pizza at Flatbread delicious (their crust is super-thin and crispy and their pizzas are full of local organic ingredients), but their service and attention to the customer is excellent as well. We went to Flatbread on a Monday evening, expecting it to be empty, however, there were a ton of people there. We had a few issues with our pizzas--one of them was not brought out to the table with the others--and management was very attentive, apologizing for the mix-up. They also very generously made up for the issue with coupons for free pizza and adjusting the bill. The professional attitude of the staff was awesome, and we'll be back there again in no time. The service and management here are excellent and very attentive. They have a great selection of beers on tap. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. The salad is very tasty and fresh. I have tried most of the pizzas and they are all amazing, especially the Homemade Sausage and Coevolution. My favorite pizza place around - the food is great, I love the atmosphere, and the service may not always be perfect but it always friendly. There are so many pizza options and none have failed. And I have tested this by ordering pizzas that don't sound like they should be good (e.g. Reuben), but always are delicious The ambiance is pretty much perfect for any group of people and they always have a fun rotating cocktail options. Any errors made by the waiters has always been reflected in the bill (e.g. didn't charge for a salad that they forgot to bring out before the pizza). Bowling is also awesome, but just has to be planned out in advance with a reservation - too long of a wait for a last minute activity. read more
