Coffee and Iced Tea station with seating area inside.

This centurion lounge is tricky to find. It is above the plaza food court in between D and E gates. Look for the blue elevator around the side closer to E gates. It is a smaller lounge than others I have been to but we did not have to wait to enter at 9 pm. The lounge was pretty empty on a Tuesday. Food was good for dinner, bbq chicken thighs, mashed potatoes and assorted salads. Brownie and cookies for desert. Gelato bar was closed but bar was going. Lots of places to sit. Workers were actively cleaning up dishes and keeping areas clean.

This a great Centurion lounge located in CLT airport. It's a bit tricky to find - it's right across from the security checkpoint at the intersection of the D and E gates. There was a waitlist when I arrived which has sadly become the norm for Centurion lounges. It's easy to add yourself to the waitlist using the Amex app which quoted me a 5 to 15 minute wait which actually turned out to be 35 minutes or so. Strangely when I joined the waitlist, the option to receive a text notification was not present (only an email option was available). As a result, I had to keep checking my email every 5 minutes until the notification arrived. I considered walking down the concourse and waiting in the Admiral's Club, but since the wait quoted was relatively short, I just waited outside the Centurion. The lounge itself is very large with a variety of seating options for small and large parties. It still felt very crowded, though. I love that they set-up several smaller "satellite" bars throughout the lounge in addition to the normal bar. These smaller bars offer a more limited selection of drinks (make your own mimosas and their signature "port of my heart" cocktail), but it's a great way to avoid the line at the main bar. I also love that they had a gelato cart (tucked away a bit toward the back of the lounge) which had two flavors available - chocolate and cotton candy bubble gum - with assorted toppings as well. In terms of the food buffet, I was disappointed that there did not seem to be any unique local choices. Being in the south I thought perhaps some sort of BBQ? Instead there were some sort of odd chicken thigh pieces and rice. Overall, the food was a bit disappointing. This is still a great lounge choice in CLT!

Apple stuffed French toast was amazing. Great service. It much nicer since they added an online waitlist. Very fast check in once you receive the entry barcode. Easy to find a place to sit. Breakfast buffet is best at CLT.

Enjoyed the lounge. There was an Attentive/efficient buser tidying the space. Regular announcements to move your sh!T to make room for people to sit. I appreciate that because there is rarely an open seat the 4x I have visited. It's busy! I do like it though. The welcome beverage at entry is fun. They rotate selections of offerings. Had a lovely mulled wine most recently. They also started limiting access. There's now a QR code and wait list to hop on since demand is high. Last time I waited 10 minutes. The time before, I bailed because it was going to be 35. The quiet room is actually quite quiet but you do need to request access via the front desk. Most recently, I got a bag of free cosmetic samples. That was a fun surprise and welcome treat!

Other than having a hard time locating the lounge and the elevator up being a bit weird, I loved my experience at the Charlotte American Express Lounge. When I first arrived the front desk staff was lovely even when it was 6 am in the morning. The lounge was pretty empty so there was ample amount of seating available. I started with some fruit and a croissant while I got some work done. Then once the breakfast buffet opened I was able to try their eggs, potatoes, berry smoothie and sausage. It was tasty and fresh. And a plus they had hot sauce, yay! As I continued to get work done during the hour I was there it just kept getting busier and busier with available seats being few and far between. Overall I would look forward to returning to this lounge. More than others I've been to in the past at other airports.

Great lounge with good food, friendly and helpful staff, and amazing views. It was a bit hard to find the elevator to access it due to a lack of signage.

Salmon carpaccio, mini quiche, berries, cheese grits and cantaloupe and honeydew. Gorgeous!

Super! The Amex Lounge in Charlotte gets better every time. It's the team. It's is every team member from Jenny and Andre at the welcome counter( photo) to Fatima and Dua( spelling) who patiently pick up all plates and glasses with a smile and class to the awesome lady who helped me with the shower booking and took me to the room, then waited patiently as I ran back to the front to get dental and shaving kits; the lovely bartenders who are having fun. So the NFl ranks QB's and power ranks teams every week during the season. Here imho are the power rankings for Amex Centurion lounges in the US: 1) Charlotte 2) Miami 3) NY LGA 4) Phoenix 5) Atlanta 6) NY JFK 7) DCA Please note the vast gap between 1) and 2). The stellar team that is happy while doing the work, tasty and more creative menu offerings, ease of getting around, more bartenders at more stations that are spread out, a gelato and crepe station( WOW), bigger and better showers and bathrooms, the front desk that is genuinely warm, loving and makes you feel great about being an Amex Platinum cardholder; this is why!

Best lounge I've been too, so far! Spacious. A lot of seating. Big, beautiful bar area. Food was amazing! Temperature was just right Bathrooms were clean, even had a separate area for showers In between gates D & E. Then go up a floor

Came to the airport early given the current flight reductions during the government shutdown. Entered at 10:30am with no wait. Check in was easy. The lounge wasn't overcrowded and we found seats right away. Breakfast was on the buffet with fresh fruit, grits, oatmeal with a variety of toppings, overnight oats with coconut and oat milks. Cranberry orange muffins, fresh baked banana bread. Roasted potatoes with a yummy sauce. The sausage and quiches were dry. There was a full bar with signature drinks as well that is complimentary and had a very short wait. The bartenders were good and fast and the drinks were well prepared. I had an Aperol Spritz and an Espresso Martini. Both were good. There was a busser coming by and picking up dishes regularly. There were multiple coffee machines that made premium drinks. There was a gelato stand with chocolate and vanilla and lots of toppings. Yum! The lunch buffet started around 11:30 and guests were already lined up for it - which says its good. The mashed potatoes and chicken were great. The Brussels Sprouts I didn't like much. Check it out!

Great place to stop by for breakfast during our layover. There was no wait at the time we got here and was able to enter and find a table right away. There were quite a few selections of breakfast items. There was also alcoholic drinks at the bar which we did not get this time, coffee stations etc. The staff was prompt at taking away the dirty plates. This is located around terminal D and E near the food court area and The Plaza. Make a left near terminal D then elevator is in the right. Take elevator up to 3rd floor. Have to take elevator or the stairs to get to this location.

When you need it, nothing like the Amex Lounge to take the sting out of a harrowing travel evolution. As luck would have it, I also got to use Admiral's Club. Amex is much better and more generous (free Manhattan for example made with top shelf bourbon). The buffet is also nicer. The only reason I'm knocking a star off is that there has been a wait to get in on my last two trips through. The furniture is comfortable. Could be a few more padded seat options.

Nancy L.

Very large lounge with plenty of seating, yet during dinner rush hour there were no open seats. We walked around the entire lounge at least three times looking for somewhere to sit but many people like to take up open seats to place their luggage and backpacks on them. The employees had to make an overhead announcement to have people be mindful and share the space with fellow travelers. We definitely appreciated that announcement because it freed up a couple seats for us to sit at. Although the lounge was basically at capacity, the buffet line was kept well stocked and replenished promptly. They offered various hot items and some vegetarian options, along with salads. The bar area was very popular as well, it was well stocked with plenty of drink options.

A little of the breakfast buffet... blue muffin, chicken sausage, egg & mushroom quiche, and blueberry yogurt with a glass of OJ

The Centurian Lounge in the Charlotte airport is a little hidden but can be found just before you get to concourse E gates, at the top of the escalators. It's on the right, if you're coming from the rocking chairs and past the restaurant with the bull. No joke!! The lounge is very clean. The food offerings were quite interesting and more on the healthy side in my opinion than Delta or American lounges. They offered lots of fruit and cut fresh fruit. They offered plantain pancakes for breakfast, which is something I've never seen before unless I was in the Caribbean. If you come here and they have the tomato grits, YOU'VE GOT TO TRY THEM! They are just different but in a pleasant way. The service is on point with the centurion lounge employees, they are on top of everything.

Bloody Mary and red wine.

The chairs are comfortable, and it's nice to have free drinks when you have to wait that long. Just being able to grab your own ice water was appreciated. But the TV had the little league championship on for hours. I didn't get up to find someone to change it, but how many people are wanting to watch that? Someone asked later and they put pre season football on. Much better! And the food... it's terrible! Seriously, just awful choices. It smelled bad. It looked gross. If we weren't so tired and worried we wouldn't get home that day, I'd have gone somewhere else and paid for food. I'm vegetarian and had some hummus, a roll and rice crispy treats. They do have a decent coffee machine. My husband had some kind of meat, and he said the soup was good. It had meat, so I didn't try it. The bathrooms were nice. And women everywhere know the value of a nice airport bathroom! Especially when you're stuck there for hours!!! As far as airline lounges, this is probably the worst one we've ever used. We don't usually fly American. But we fly first class a lot and usually get access to the lounges. If we were there again I'd probably still use it just for the nicer seating and bathrooms, and free beverages. But the food was just not good! I will add, the servers were good. They we're consistently picking up cups, cleaning the food area, cleaning the bathroom, etc. Which was saw because we were there so long! We left at 1045pm, which is when it closes. Our flight remained delayed and we didn't take off until about 1am, but that's another story...

I appreciate the Charlotte airport thanks to their restaurants, shopping, airline lounges, and the ease of navigating the airport. While there are a lot of lounges at the Charlotte airport, there are multiple Admirals Clubs. This Admirals Club location is the one I remember visiting earliest, well before the pandemic. I've been there several times since then with the most recent being a few days ago on my way home. The clubs and lounges in Charlotte's airport are much better than usual and there are more of them than usual. I have two travel premium credit cards: the AAdvantage Executive Mastercard offering complimentary Admirals Club access (including the two Admirals Club locations and the Provisions by Admirals Club location) and the American Express Platinum card offering other lounge access (including the Centurion Lounge, The Club, and other lounges elsewhere in the airport in other terminals) along with travel credits along with complimentary CLEAR and Global Entry membership. This particular location is near the Concourse C and D connector. I recall during the pandemic that this location offered countless food and drink options that were all individually wrapped and able to be taken to go. It was the 2020 version of what the new Provisions by Admirals Club is in 2026. This large lounge is often very full with comfortable seating, bar seating, and tables and chairs. There is complimentary hot food throughout the day from soups, Mac and Cheese, sandwiches, meatballs, and breakfast items (not all at once though). There are charcuterie offerings, dessert trays, a salad bar, hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and then house drinks. You can pay more for premium drinks and prepared meals. Access to the lounge is easy to get whether through the Citi Executive World Mastercard with free access for you and up to two guests. You can also pay $175 for up to three authorized users each receiving their own lounge access (with up to two guests). Also, One World alliance flyers with a certain status can access Admirals Clubs. I'm confident that making it easy to get Admirals Club memberships has led to lounges being overcrowded though now that you have to pay for authorized users instead of getting them for free in recent years, that may help. You can also redeem AAdvantage miles for membership or access to the Admirals Club. I would certainly stop by the Admirals Club location again in the future!

The lady working the front desk seemed annoyed in general. Not at all friendly. There were several people around the desk needing assistance. At my allotted time I went in the dimly lit room to find a sofa with a long rip down the middle so the foam was showing. That feels unclean. Then I tried to plug in my phone to charge. None of the plugs were working. They were wobbly and my charger wouldn't stay plugged in. There was a desk and a tv in there. I didn't bother with either since I couldn't even charge my phone in there. I stayed maybe 30 minutes just to enjoy some silence. When I left I noticed there was a different lady working at the front desk. I told her I was done in the room. She seemed just as unfriendly as the other lady. I didn't see any point in telling her my complaints- besides there were other customers that she was assisting. I have no desire to return to a minute suites. If I was desperate for a nap I might try again but I would ask for a different room if the outlets didn't work or there was a rip on the sofa. This was definitely not a good first impression.

The Provisions by Admirals Club lounge was created for travelers on the go. It offers a lounge where you could grab what you'd like and then take it to go and take off. They offer complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages like sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit, vegetarian options, coffee and tea, and bottled and canned beverages. Also offered are one-on-one travel assistance by team members and a streamlined experience where there is an option to take a quick bite at their high-top tables. I then went into a single room where a team member with a full refrigerated appliance would ask what I'd like between sandwiches, salads, grain bowls, fresh fruit, charcuterie board, and more. I was able to pick multiple options. I then got a choice of beverages where I selected a can of drinking water. I then went to one more area with bags of chips, brownies, cookies, and more. There were high top tables for anyone preferring to eat there. I took everything of mine to go and brought most of the items onto my next flight home. It's the newest one in the airport, tucked away above the far end of the new A gates, and I'd happily arrive three hours early just to spend more time here. Being a 10-15 minute walk from most A and B gates (and even farther from others), it seems to stay a little quieter than the other lounges, which is a huge plus. The entire space feels fresh, bright, and incredibly clean. The bathrooms were immaculate (complete with touchless doors), the seating options were plentiful, and there were thoughtful spaces for every type of traveler from cozy lounge chairs to workstations and even soundproof booths for calls or meetings. The large windows overlooking the concourse let in tons of natural light, while the frosted lower panels still gave the lounge a sense of privacy. The food and beverage setup was one of the best I've seen. Breakfast included everything from pastries, bagels, cinnamon rolls, eggs, and sausage to fresh fruit and charcuterie-style offerings, and everything stayed well-stocked. The drink stations were equally impressive, with the usual coffee, water, and soda options plus a separate specialty coffee bar with flavored syrups and even a lemonade station where you could customize your drink. What truly made this lounge stand out, though, was the staff. Every single person we encountered from check-in to the attendants throughout the lounge to the bartender were genuinely warm, welcoming, and smiling. They made the space feel even more inviting.
