He answered every question we had and explained how the different parts of the house work, so we understand our home a lot better now. He also pointed out a few things that could turn into problems later. His report was detailed and well organized, and it made talking to our builder much easier. We could point to specific items and photos instead of trying to describe them from memory. I'd recommend Michael to anyone building or buying a home. We plan to book him again for our final inspection in January.

He works very fast; we had the report later that evening, which we sent over to the supervisor of the home builders. This gives them time to go over it and fix everything Mike finds. Contacted another home inspector prior, but they were going on vacation, so he even recommended Mike as well, saying he is very good. He allowed us to be present during the inspection; we gave him space so he could work and we wouldn't be hovering over him. Since we were there after he was done, he would show me things and tell me things. I had a few questions, and he answered everything and gave me a lot of helpful tips on what to expect as a new homeowner and what to look out for out here in this area. Like what are more common things and things we should do as preventive maintenance and such.

His knowledge, attention to detail, and professionalism were evident throughout the entire process. Even after the report was completed, I had several follow-up questions, and Jemic took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently. Having bought and sold many homes over the years, I can honestly say I've never worked with an inspector who was more knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. The detailed report and excellent communication gave us confidence in moving forward with our purchase. I highly recommend Spectrum Home Inspection, and especially Jemic, to anyone looking for a trustworthy and experienced home inspector. We will absolutely be using them again for our next home purchase.

In response , Your business is listed as being open 7 days a week 24 hours a day. But of course…read morecalling at 4:00 pm (during normal business hours) and nobody is available to take my call. This is very frustrating especially when my hard earned money is being spent to pay for a service that is sub par, then to have pay to for something that should have been addressed by the company that you paid to inspect it. Then to have to deal with horrid smells in your home because of someone else's mistake. I read to your "scheduler" exactly what the home warranty plumber put in the report. I read word for word what the warranty denial email said including the P-trap being installed incorrectly. What your scheduler chose to relay to you is in her not me. All the plumbing that the plumber saw was clearly visible for the inspector. No walls were opened. If your inspector is not aware of how a P-trap should be installed then maybe he needs more training. In your voicemail you (Lynn) stated that it was an easy fix for a handy man. This is pretty clear that you are trying to pass the buck and assume no further liability or responsibility. At no point in time did your voicemail say that you would send someone else out to look at it. But it is obvious that you would rather point fingers than take any responsibility. BTW, I was speaking to your scheduler on the blue tooth in my car, I am hearing impaired and I have to turn the volume up higher in order to hear clearly. Honestly, I was in tears speaking to your scheduler because I am getting very frustrated with this companies ripping me off . The volume was up but o was never rude or nasty to your scheduler.

We are 1st time home owners, unfortunately I wasn't able to join my husband and agent after the inspection, I took my husbands and the inspector's word that everything looked good (with the most important stuff) plumbing, heating/cooling and also paid for our pool to be inspected. They provided lots of pictures and reports but not sure how they go about inspecting, we requested repairs afterwards for some of the minor electrical and safety hazards. Upon moving in , 1st day , no hot water , the upstairs bathroom was clogged , the AC made a big loud noise when turned on and off , the pool had issues already, not sure if they don't run hvac , water and things like that to make sure they're working properly but I was just very disappointed, I know things break and that comes with ownership but how is it possible that this wasn't noticed during the inspection? 1day there , tired from moving and no hot water , and the toilet clogged ...I don't know I was just hoping they'd let us know these things weren't working.

He inspected our soon-to-be home on-time, accurately, professionally and was excellent at communicating. His email replies were fast, accurate and descriptive. He also answered questions after the inspection results were delivered. He helped us rank/summarize our biggest concerns as well. It's worth nothing that Jed uses photos, videos and other technology that was easy to understand, and includes them in his report, so that even a layman like me could make informed decisions on what to ask our home seller about.
