I didn't catch the name of the gentleman I spoke with, but I was asking for advice for an inspection that I have going on out of town. In other words, this gentleman wasn't making any money off of me, but he still took the time to answer my questions. He was unbiased and straightforward. I would trust whatever advice he's giving you. read more

We felt confident in the condition of the property with Jed's inspection report. Hire Jed today. read more

We are purchasing a new home in Henderson, NV and we looked at the reviews on here before deciding to go with Jed. Welp, the reviews were VERY accurate - he's amazing. He inspected our soon-to-be home on-time, accurately, professionally and was excellent at communicating. His email replies were fast, accurate and descriptive. I was actually kind of shocked at how much detail he went into not just in the formal results of his inspection, but in additional commentary in email regarding his analysis and recommendations as a result of his findings. He also answered questions after the inspection results were delivered. He helped us rank/summarize our biggest concerns as well. It's worth nothing that Jed uses photos, videos and other technology that was easy to understand, and includes them in his report, so that even a layman like me could make informed decisions on what to ask our home seller about. The home was big and yet the report was very thorough. Jed was generally very friendly and professional. Highly recommend. Great service. read more

Jed is a master of his craft and was recommended to me by family friends. After vetting other home inspectors, Jed was the one I was going to go with. He was up front and honest from the very beginning and is very detailed oriented in his work. For what you pay, you want to make sure your house is functioning properly and is safe to live in and Jed provides you that peace of mind. read more

Truly if you want to be protected by having the best home inspector on your side then hire Red Beard Inspections LLC. Jed is very detail oriented and saved me money on costly repairs if they were not found. I would highly recommend to RedBeard Inspections LLC read more

I met Jed (RedBeard) back in 2018 when I was selling my home. Jed provided a thorough inspection of my property detailing everything possible. Ultimately, the buyer backed out of the deal based on RedBeard's exhaustive inspection. Needless to say, I was pissed. Fast forward to 2021... My wife and I were looking to purchase a property that was built in 1974. My wife looked at me and said, "We need to hire RedBeard." I'll be damned if I give this guy any of my money! I was still upset with RedBeard for what happened in 2018 but my wife was right, and not just because she is always right. I called Jed and he was able to quickly get me an appointment. Shortly after the inspection, Jed provided me with the most complete and comprehensive report I have ever seen. RedBeard took the time to answer all of my questions and promptly returned my calls/texts/emails. Jed is a professional, communicates well, and is extremely thorough. I recommend RedBeard with the utmost consideration. Thank you Jed. read more

I'm not surprised by this inspector's good ratings. He inspected our house and he seemed knowledgeable. The best part though of his service was the fact that he was available after the inspection for questions, I asked him about our roof warranty and he went out of his way to figure out our home's builder so I could contact them after our sellers told us there was no warranty. After our sellers left I had additional questions about items that were previously in the house and he was able to pull up video he had taken and sent it via email, overall very useful and I appreciate his work. Would def recommend read more

RedBeard inspections is an excellent company. Jed is the proprietor and he does an very complete and detailed job. To quote one of my favorite movies (the Big Lebowski), "he's a good man and thorough". I used Jed to inspect a property that was going to be my first purchase ever in the Las Vegas area. I was impressed by Jed's use of technology to enhance the inspection and to ensure that everything is well documented and no details are left out. Jed might not be the cheapest option but it's so true that you get what you pay for. His service is well worth the cost for sure! He is extremely responsive via phone, email, and text. I have no complaints and recommend him highly! read more

Jed did an inspection on my house. He gave us a very detailed report along with video footage of everything that he saw and recorded whether it was a small thing or a big thing I have video evidence of it all. Jed was on time, Polite and clean as he was walking through the house to do is inspection I would recommend Jed to anybody who's needing a home inspector!!!! read more

Jed came out to inspect a home I was purchasing. HE WAS GREAT! He was early to the home and arrived before us. He gave us an overview of what he was going to do and how long it would take. First he asked if we had any concerns and I showed him some areas that I thought would be an issue. The gas company had shut off the hot water tank and fireplace due to safety issues. Jed offered to come back and finish testing those as well as the hot water-supplied plumbing and appliances when it was repaired and turned back on. After he gave us a recap and offered his opinion as to what should be our top priorities. This house was built in 1950 so he had his work cut out for him! The report he supplied and detailed photos allowed us to the go to the seller and ask for repairs based on safety concerns, not just operational or cosmetic. Unfortunately, the seller was in denial regarding the leaking roof and would not repair. Jed's report probably saved us thousands in home repairs down the road! read more

Very professional, very thorough. The report and videos are very detailed. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing! Jed is super thorough, and highly knowledgeable! You need to book him for your inspections!!

If you are looking for a solid, thorough and capable inspector for home inspections, RedBeard and Jed are what you'll want. Jed performed a home inspection on a home that I will be purchasing. Armed with state of the art equipment and a very can-do attitude, he meticulously examined every nook and cranny and produced his findings via a comprehensive inspection report and summary (including photos and visual call outs for areas of concern) that made analyzing a breeze, all at super competitive pricing! Jed definitely has got your back! He explains his process and stays friendly and informative the entire way through. A detailed report was provided within 24hours of the inspection, and Jed was incredibly helpful and accommodating to my schedule, and working with my agent to perform the inspection. I don't think it gets any better than RedBeard Inspections! read more

I am going to start by saying that Jed is AMAZING. He is like the kareem abdul jabbar of home inspections.... the GOAT. I am in the process of purchasing a home built in 2015 and needed an inspection before proceeding with the escrow process. I assumed that the inspection would take an hour or two, but Jed spent a whopping 4 hours checking every little detail to make sure that it was all in working order. When I mentioned that this was my first home, he made sure to slow down and explain everything to me carefully. He pointed out common areas where problems arise for homes and gave me suggestions on how to prevent future issues. At the end of the inspection, he went over all his findings. He showed me images from his thermal camera which showed that the temperatures for the water pipes/wires/switch boards/etc were normal. He mentioned several times that he would not be able to live with himself if he gave me the "OK" on the inspection and something catastrophic were to happen to the house. During the inspection process, we got to talking and I told him I was part of the military. He stopped dead in his track and fervently thanked me for my service. He then turned to my gf and also thanked her for the sacrifices she made. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JED FOR ANY HOME INSPECTION NEEDS. He is prompt (arrived 20 minutes before our appointment), diligent, EXTREMELY thorough, and an upstanding guy. I would not hesitate to reach out to him for all my inspection needs. read more

Jed Simper provided us with utmost professional service for our 4plex in Vegas. He is extremely professional, very knowledgeable and just overall a wonderful person. He kept our interest at mind from the very first time we reached out to him. He is extremely knowledgeable as a home inspector. He pointed out very important details during his inspection which we could have overlooked and could have costed us lots in the long run. If you are looking for a home inspector in the las vegas area, do not hesitate and get Jed to handle your inspection. read more

Jed was amazing. I am currently looking to buy my first house, and have had a few inspections done by other inspectors on potential places. Jed was by far more thorough and technologically advanced than anyone else. He spent over 3 hours inspecting the 1000 sq foot condo I was looking at! He didn't miss a thing, and his report was emailed less than 24 hrs later, with pictures and explanations of everything. It was because of him that I was made aware of extensive water damage in one of the walls, and I decided to walk from the property because of it and potential mold issues. I'm still house hunting, and I will definitely use Jed every time I need an inspection! read more

Jed performed the home inspection on the purchase of my new home and did an excellent job! He is incredibly thorough and took the time to ensure that any issues with the home were addressed. I have purchased homes in the past and he, by far, spent the most amount of time in the home. He also uses a Go Pro during the inspection so that he can go back and review the footage to make sure nothing was missed. The home inspection is one of the most important pieces when buying a home. Many inspectors work for the agents and are not likely to point out all of the issues because it can cause a delay in the home closing. While Jed was referred by my agent, I am 100% sure that he worked in the best interest of his client... me. I will highly recommend Jed to anyone I know looking for a home inspection! read more

DO NOT use this man if you are out of town needing an inspection for a home you wish to purchase. Two main costly items were not properly inspected and cost us a good amount of money. I believe he and realtors, are all in cahoots, making sure sale of house goes through, my opinion! read more

Jed was very easy to deal with and he did a great job. I think he was at the house for about five hours, may have been six. He went back the next day to meet the sellers real estate agent who stood him up and there was no charge for this even though it was a giant waste of his time. I really felt like he had my back, was looking out for my family and his report was very detailed. It showed things that were critical to fix and then some things that are just part of buying an 18 year old home and should be fixed eventually. I like that he used a thermal camera to check for mold and did a video of the inspection as well. I don't plant to move anytime soon, but I would use him again in an instant. His prices were much more reasonable than some of the others who perform similar inspections. He was great at communicating too which is a plus. hanks Jed. read more

I'm very pleased with the home inspection performed by Jed of Redbeard Inspections LLC provided. He is pleasant and professional, but more importantly, he is knowledgeable and thorough in his inspection process. He clearly communicated his findings and took time to answer all my questions. I never felt rushed in going over the review at the property. The report furnished is detailed and easy to read. I believe hiring Redbeard Inspections LLC was a good investment and I'd highly recommend Jed to anyone purchasing a home and looking for piece of mind. read more

Jed was amazing. He is very thorough with the inspection and gave me all the little details that he saw that needed to be addressed with the property. This property was had some rough times, I needed someone that can look at every inch of the property and give me an assessment. Red Beard Inspection was the perfect company for the job. If you're looking for someone with great attention to detail, this company is certainly who you are looking for. I had a few companies that I went through before with my other properties, I will be sticking with Red Beard Inspections from now on. I would definitely recommend! read more

I chose to go with Red Beard because of the reviews here. They are all on point. Jed is a very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely thorough inspector. This has been my 3rd time to go through a home inspection and Jed really takes his time to make sure he gets everything you need to know for the buyer so I am so glad I met him and would not hesitate to use him again and refer him to others. All he needs now is to add a drone for roof inspections and a perfectionist like Jed, its only a matter of time. Thanks Jed! read more

Even though our house was a newly built constructed home, I still wanted to make sure we got what we paid for. My buyers agent recommended Jed and we went ahead and booked him. From the start, he was extremely personable and easy going. He has a lot of knowledge and I picked his brain on some concerns. Until we officially closed on the house and we had keys in our hands, Jed went in and inspected the entire house. He was there for four hours. There are a lot of red tape when you purchase a newly constructed home, so Jed could not inspect the house until it was officially ours. Jed went to our initial walk-through with our builder and noted some items (mainly cosmetic). He is very thorough. He completed the inspection report a day later. Luckily, there weren't any major issues, just minor things. Hiring Jed definitely gave us peace of mind. I would definitely recommend him. read more

I first would like to start off by saying that out experience with this company and Jed was absolutely amazing. The man knows his stuff but more importantly his delivery, punctuality and personality is above board. He was thorough in explaining his process as well as things that I may need for my own personal records regarding our home. At no point did my wife and I fail to receive answers to questions we both had. Jed is a great communicator and extremely personable. His personality as well as his competency was top-notch and comforting. We were left convinced that if we ever needed his services again or knew of anyone needing a home inspection he's the individual you want for sure. I HIGHLY recommend Jed/Red beard Home inspection. There's a lot of good people who are good at what they do, Jed is great at the work he does. Red beard is the solution! read more

Jed inspected the home as though he were buying it for his family. My wife and I found that approach very comforting. We received a very thorough inspection. But just as important, Jed is an excellent communicator and generously took the time to answer any of our questions. We ended up buying the home (it's an older home). The inspection reports is an excellent to do list. read more

I decided to use RedBeard Inspections because they had great Yelp reviews. Jed was very easy to work with for scheduling. He was very thorough and knowledgeable- he left no stone unturned, and the report was well organized and easy to read with pictures of all issues! He was also available for questions after we received the report, which we got back in 24 hours! His fee is well worth the price- we aren't going to ask the seller to make every single repair, but now we know exactly what things need to be done in the near future. I highly recommend RedBeard Inspections! read more

After reading several reviews on Yelp, I chose Red Beard Inspections to complete the home inspection of the home my husband and I are purchasing. Jed is phenomenal. My wife and I are in the process of buying a new home and wanted someone with a great reputation and a keen eye for detail to inspect the property. We had very high expectations for Jed based on his prior reviews, but he exceeded all of them. He was available on 24 hours' notice to do a 3.5 hour inspection, provided unbelievable phone and on-site customer service, and prepared a meticulous (but layman-friendly) report within 36 hours. I could not recommend him more highly. read more

Jed is extremely professional and very thorough in his work. His video, which accompanies the written report was very valuable in helping us build a case with the HOA of the much needed repairs to an unsafe balcony on a townhome purchase for my son. In addition, the home owner agreed to a lower price to address other issues which were uncovered from the thorough inspection. I would highly recommend Jed for anyone wanting to put their mind at ease or build a case for repairs needed on a prospective home purchase. read more

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Jed!! He did an excellent job doing the inspection on my house. Literally spent 3-4 hours going thru every single element in that house to ensure I was aware of any problems prior to making a purchase. He is extremely thorough and his work is impeccable. Lot of real estate agents want you to use "their guy" to do inspections on a house you are purchasing. I had a bad experience first time around where my agent gave kick back to the inspector to hide any flaws so as to expedite the process so he could get paid!! This time I hired my own inspector and boy was it worth it. My agent was a little pissed but who cares!! Jed made me feel so comfortable and took the time to explain everything to me in detail. He also said if I encounter any problems on items he inspected that I could call him in the future. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!! Thank you Jed, it was a pleasure working with you and I will recommend you to all my friends who are looking to purchase a home. Mahalo!!! read more
