There were dogs barking in background when we called, and we had to repeat everything we said. We were told we would get an email confirming what we ordered. Since we didn't receive an email, I called on February 21 to confirm order. I was told that email had been sent, but we never received it; however, we did receive an email with invoice on February 21. Order was received on February 24 and looked great!! The cost of plaque was $28.57 and with processing fee (which we were not told about) and additional engraving, the total was $31.36. All this was reasonable, but then we saw the shipping. Shipping was also $31.36; what a coincidence. I called today after leaving a message for someone to call which they didn't. I spoke with a not so customer friendly man. He explained that the amount was what UPS charged. I told him that I had looked online, and amount was not that much; he got defensive and said the shipping amount came from computer. I stated it was very strange that shipping was same as total of order, and he said rudely, "Ma'am, there's nothing I can do to help you." We have used UPS many times, and there is no way I will believe they charged $31.36 to ship a plaque. We did not ask for overnight and 2-day shipping; we told them at time of order, we needed it by March 1. From now on, we will play a little more for the product and support local companies.

The only two alterations were to shorten the length & to reduce the bodice width. I was appalled when I returned to pick up my dress. The hem & bodice width was fine, however, she took creative liberty to literally reduce the width of the sleeves even though the sleeves were never an issue, never discussed, never measured. I am still baffled at the logic or math she used when literally taking a pair of scissors to cut a chunk of the sleeve width at bottom of armhole/widest part of my arm. How did she even know how wide my arms were. It was clearly a mistake from someone inexperienced in pattern making & garment construction. If she was unsure how to reduce the bodice without cutting into the sleeve (i.e., blend to zero) and the math wasn't working, she should have called or communicated. But instead took the liberty to literally ruin my dress. She was also adamant about how she had leftover fabric and would add gussets to fix the mistake. ??? In addition, the fabric is a crepe woven & she even tore through the fabric so the weave has been broken. But she didn't think that was a big deal either. That's when I grabbed my dress & stormed out of there. Basically, I have a dress that looks like a home-ec project. I would not recommend this place. The worst part of it, she didn't apologize, raised her voice at me and basically told me it was my fault. *To note: I have 17 years of experience working in the apparel industry for major national retail brands in both merchandising & design. I understand garment, fabric & fit construction and have sat in technical fittings most of my career. This was a huge mistake.
