The concept is beautifully executed: Boutique clothing for men who know that they want to pay proper attention to how they presented themselves. I came here looking for an outfit in which I could interview at a VA Hospital, and I felt that the clothing out did what I needed. And yet, over a glass of wine and conversations ranging from topics such as the television business to the finer points of breweries in the Pacific Northwest, I found myself making personal connections and finding clothing with which I am eminently thrilled. I'm not an easy target for a salesperson. We walked around Village Point and went into some shops and Banana Republic was one of them. This Banana was very clean, and very comfortable to walk around in. Too bad the prices, for me, are kind of outrageous, which is why I usually stick to the clearance racks, but sadly I didn't find anything this time around. Maybe next time!

They offered us a drink and small bites while we shopped, which was such a kind gesture that helped make it feel more like family than a business. My husband completely customized his Samuelsohn suit, they have so many fabric types and Charlie is great about suggesting what patterns and colors to mix. Anything you want to know about good men's clothing, go ask Charlie. The price is high, we paid around $2000 for a 2 piece suit and tie, but for a custom suit (custom lining, name embroidered inside, custom pockets, everything) you should expect to pay more. We certainly got what we paid for, a beautiful custom suit that he can wear for years to come. We can't wait to return!

I think the food and shopping scene are a good match for this area--higher end places focused on quality, and with higher price points to match the west Omaha/Elkhorn clientele. There is also a strong focus on athletic stores--probably because Scheels draws that crowd here. Parking is always an issue so plan accordingly! There are several lots, but you will often find yourself driving around for a few minutes and walking a bit more, so plan ahead. All in all the variety of stores makes for a fun outdoor shopping day, and there are plenty of quick or fancy dine in spots to choose from as you fuel up in between stores!
