I get the the new one and attempt take the other one back. It had been in the pool for approximately 1 minute before we realized the part was missing. Lady working the counter at the Gadsden store was a bit of a snot and that's being kind. They refused to take back the vacuum back. They told me I have to call the manufacturer to get a letter so they can refund me. This stores corporate return policy is absolutely the worst. If you buy something and it's not right somehow it becomes your problem. I would not recommend buying from Academy unless you have money you don't mind wasting.

It's a super long list, so pay attention! Even when it says "regular or sales price," it only means certain sales and I can't figure out how to keep it straight. Especially when there is nothing to indicate "doorbuster" on the top of the rack where the sale price is displayed. If I was a man shopping for my manly self, I would probably give 3 stars. They do have some good brands but just a few, and the selections of everything are all pretty similar. Overall though, for my actual womanly self, if i needed an outfit or shoes I could 80-90% find what I needed at Belk at a decent price. Their women's departments have everything from athletic to dressy occasions. Shoes, purses, jewelry - the same. And if price is no concern, then it would be closer to 100%! But considering that I have poured over Belk Sunday ads in the paper since I can remember, my style was basically shaped by Belk - so that may have a lot to do with it!

Despite the fact it was really busy the store was well organized - Men's, women's and children's clothing all had it's space making it easy to shop for what you're after. Shelves were not at capacity as people were stocking up from current sales and Christmas time gifts. Several sales could be found throughout the store. The store itself was very clean and easy to navigate (things weren't crammed inside). Checkout line were exceptionally long and it took some time to make a purchase as a lot of people had pretty good stacks of items they were purchasing. The staff were following Covid standards, wearing masks and disinfecting as necessary. This location isn't bad and there are other home goods shops in the area, so if you're in the mood to do some shopping you can make a little bit of a day out of it. If you like Old Navy brand this would be a good store for you to visit.

I prefer the Dollar General on the mountain by Noccalula. One problem with the Alabama City location is; its hard to find a cashier a lot of the time. I think this store only has one employee and normally when I go there, he is working somewhere else in the store. I have seen homeless people in there stealing all the time. I've told the cashier...he never cares. I guess this store should be commended.....it feeds more homeless people than most the shelters in Gadsden (in shoplifting). If they don't care,,,,,I don't. Ailes are spread out a little more than other locations and the selection is a little wider. The downside to this location is it does look a little older and feel as clean as some of the other locations. To be totally fair, part of this feel is that they have concrete floors which just have an aged look after some time. Staff was friendly and took good care of us at check out. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this location in the future.

Something about this store just feels better than other locations. It always seems to be very clean and even though it's organized just like all the other locations I've been in over time, it just seems to have more space available to display the products. Just like all the other locations they have Men's, Women's, Children's, Household items, and occasionally a mixture of other items (exercise, toys, jewelry, etc.) Typically not a lot of staff working so check out can take a few minutes, but that's really about the only negative. Also, keep in mind that selection varies a lot even from store to store and changes up based on what the current season is.

They moved it to the front of the store, two tiny cubicles and we had to wait forever in line to try stuff on! That was from before Christmas until last month. The most recent trip I noticed there was the regular fitting rooms in the back (which are plentiful) were open with an attendant. So I'm not giving the star back but at least I didn't deduct 100 ... so that's fair I think! Typically the attitude going in here should be "I'm just looking" as it's hit or miss when you have something very specific in mind. If you browse around though, you will definitely leave with some things you suddenly needed very much!
