I love the people here, and the sales are so good I tend to stress shop so it's nice to go somewhere with such chill and sweet people.

I want to give a big shout to this shop before it decamps for Beaverton…read more Rune & Board came into Hillsboro at a time when Hillsboro retail didn't cater to anyone under the age of, oh, 55 and certainly didn't address the interests of broad swaths of the city's population. R&B made it clear that not only were there a ton of gamers in the area whose needs weren't being addressed whatsoever, but that a knowledgeable staff and a stable space were all that was needed to give that community a home. Also, to be so inclusive of women that my longtime gamer buddy's wife was stunned when she walked in and was not only one of several women in the building, but the only one not actively buying or playing... that's how you start to need double the space. I'll admit, I don't like seeing this place go and I'm not a fan of the trend I'm seeing. We lost the town's only bookstore to Beaverton. Retro Game Store's gaming club and Gongali also moved from west of 185th to Beaverton. If Hillsboro and Forest Grove can't find the space for businesses like these--the ones that actually build communities, create third spaces, and encourage people here to join in and become part of something--they're going to keep losing both business and interest to Beaverton, Portland, and other places that are generally more encouraging. Thank you for my cherished copy of King of Tokyo, more Warhammer gifts than I likely should've purchased my friend, and all of the hours you set up shop for your regulars and newcomers. You're some of the good guys in Downtown Hillsboro, and the place will be less welcoming in your absence.

My service advisor was Matias Bustos. WOW. Stellar service…read more I was experiencing a check engine light that had to do with the hybrid battery fan that cools the Integrated Motor Assist to the gas engine. My fan needed replacing. I called all around and the dealer actually had the lowest price for repair. Their part was a little more but I could get the part in a few days compared to online (it would have taken a week or more). I needed to not be driving it with that issue going on. Matias got me in more quickly than my scheduled appt. He fixed it a day sooner. He was professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and was very easy to work with. He gave me a diagnostic and agreed that if I was correct in my assessment of the problem, he wouldn't charge me the diagnostic fee. He was true to his word. They fixed the problem while I waited. Matias gave me options in the event that I needed to leave my car. He saved the loaner car for me just in case. The problem was fixed within 2 hours, including diagnostics. I was very impressed with his honesty and his willingness to bend and flex to help me in my bind. He was incredibly kind. I have never had such a pleasant experience with a service advisor before. I will definitely be looking for him the next time I need to take my vehicle in, and request him if I am able. Matias was so helpful. Also, the technician that had worked on my car was very helpful and knowledgeable about the repair and answered all my questions enthusiastically.

0/5 Stars -- Dick's Hillsboro Honda Has Put Me Through Absolute Hell…read moreI bought my car from Dick's Hillsboro Honda on 5/30/26. My husband and I worked our asses off to finally afford something reliable, and I was proud of this purchase. That pride lasted one day. By the next morning, the car was shuddering so badly I had to bring it back. I turned it in to their service department on 6/2/26, and that's where this nightmare began. They told me the car needed a new transmission. Fine. Things happen. But what followed was the most exhausting, unprofessional, and infuriating experience I've ever had with a dealership. For over a month, the service contract company dragged their feet while Dick's Hillsboro Honda kept taking the transmission apart, putting it back together, sending pictures, sending oil samples -- just endless hoops to jump through. It felt like everyone involved was trying to avoid responsibility instead of fixing the car they sold me. After weeks of this, the transmission was finally approved. Then I was told the replacement they received was the wrong one. And the correct one? Back‑ordered for 4-6 weeks. So I waited. And waited. And waited. Communication from the dealership was almost nonexistent. I had to chase updates like it was my job. Eventually, on 7/28/26, they said they found a brand‑new transmission and got it approved. It arrived on 7/31/26. You'd think that would be the end of it -- but no. It is now 8/10/26, and every time I ask for an update, I get nothing. Not "we're working on it," not "almost done," not even "we haven't started." Just silence. And yes, I've had a loaner car this entire time -- but that doesn't excuse the complete lack of communication, the months‑long delay, or the fact that my "new‑to‑me" car has been sitting at their dealership longer than it was ever in my driveway. A loaner doesn't fix the stress, the uncertainty, or the feeling of being ignored by a dealership that clearly doesn't care once the sale is complete. Meanwhile, the online portal says "completed." Completed? Really? Because when I drive by the dealership, my car is sitting outside like it hasn't been touched. You can't move a car with no transmission installed -- so what exactly is "completed"? Since 8/7/26, I've sent nine messages asking for updates. Nine. And yes, I'm becoming a Karen -- because at this point, what other choice do I have? I've had my 2022 Hyundai Tucson for two days before the transmission failed. Two days. Something my husband and I worked so hard for, something we were proud of, something we thought would make life easier -- and instead, it's been nothing but stress, delays, and complete lack of communication. Dick's Hillsboro Honda sold me a car that died immediately, left me without my actual vehicle for months, and can't even be bothered to respond to messages or give basic updates. My one review may mean nothing to a multi‑million‑dollar dealership, but I'm leaving it anyway. No one deserves to go through this. 0 out of 5 stars. If I could give less, I would.

Listen, I get it. Buying a big ticket item like this is stressful. I understand that people go in…read morefeeling either puffed up because THEY'RE THE CUSTOMER or pre-angry because they're nervous. So, I took these reviews with a grain of salt. They didn't respond to your email, one star. You didn't get your price, one star. You didn't get approved for credit, one star. No one fawned over you for wanting to buy a motorcycle at a motorcycle dealership, one star. A thing broke on a bike you bought, one star. I drove over there anyway, prepared for the worst. The phones were ringing off the hooks in there. It's July. Middle of the day on a Tuesday, and they're fielding calls non-stop. Brandon welcomed me in. Asked me what I was looking for. Zero pressure. Without getting into it, it was a rough day for me, and I was looking for something to add a little joy to my life. We talked about family a bit, looked at the bike I had in mind, and I asked him to scratch me out the numbers to think about. He was very clear on the pricing, discounts, add-ons, options for titling, etc. Destination cost is a thing, friends. So is licensing and taxes. In a hot market for a hot bike, so is dealer markup. Welcome to capitalism. Everything was totally transparent and reasonable. So I paid it on the spot. Done. Came back with my wife and picked up a beautifully clean bike a couple of hours later. I genuinely don't know how that could've gone any better. Brandon was exceptionally cool and helpful through the whole transaction, I bought myself a little bit of happiness, and I came out of there with a new friend who I'd do business with again in a heartbeat.

Classic dealer fee bait-and-switch. Watch your paperwork closely!…read more Because I absolutely hate haggling in person, I tried contacting MotoSport Hillsboro ahead of time specifically to get the total out-the-door price in writing. My plan was simple: get the final numbers, walk into the shop, hand them a check, and leave. Instead, they turned it into a textbook fee-padding game. After submitting inquiries through their portal, my communications were ignored for days. When the salesperson, Brandon, finally texted me, he tried to tack on a completely bogus $499 "setup fee" on a used demo bike that was already assembled and sitting on the showroom floor. Under Oregon consumer disclosure rules, assembly and setup fees cannot be weaponized as surprise add-ons to artificially inflate an advertised price. When I called out the illegitimate setup fee and management finally sent over a formal purchase order, they pulled a classic shell game. The setup fee was gone, but they immediately slid in a $200 "document processing fee" that Brandon had completely omitted in our prior conversations. When I pointed out that this fee wasn't mentioned upfront, Rob told me he would only remove the $200 if I took the title paperwork down to the DMV and processed it myself. Why should a customer pay a separate, surprise fee just for a dealership employee to do the clerical job they are already paid to do? They might use lower base pricing online to lure you through the door, but it doesn't matter if they just pad the final contract with hidden back-office fees and give you an exhausting customer service experience. If you are a cash buyer expecting basic honesty, pricing transparency, and respect for your time, go elsewhere. I have attached screenshots of the text history below so you can see the truth for yourself. Watch your contract numbers closely or just make it easier on yourself and get your bike elsewhere. I certainly will!
