American Cremation Services provided my family with great customer service that included special requests, in a timely manner as stated, AND at least $1,000 cheaper than anyone else.
Specifically:
My father died on October 10th. My mother and I went to American Cremation Services on the 11th. It was a Sunday and they were normally closed. They made an exception for us. That was a great start. We meet with Dennettia. She was incredibly warm and friendly; slightly upbeat. In a state of shock and mourning, it was nice to deal with someone that wasn't morose or bending over backwards being overly sympathetic. She had that proper balance of sympathy and smiles. Dennettia was very helpful with the paperwork and special requests.
We wanted to document my father's tattoo. It didn't dawn on us that we didn't photograph it until we were sitting in ACS's offices. The other request was that my dad needed to wait three days before being cremated, per a couple of family members' spiritual requests. Keosha Bland handled the photograph and sent it to me via the phone, just like I requested. ACS waited the three days, exactly as asked. Everything was ready on time and they included a flag because my father was a veteran.
When asked why ACS was at least $1,000 cheaper than anyone else, they informed us that it was a family owned business and that the father (head of the business) thought it indecent to charge unfair rates. I have to respect a business with that attitude and encourage anyone else in need to go to them. read more
