Here's what was said: Good morning Casillas Family, It has been a few days since my mother's service (11/28/2022) and we are still discussing the bad service we were offered. My sister and I were the ones that took care of the funeral arrangements and are very disappointed. About 5 years ago we also used your services to bury my grandmother which went great. We want to express the issues we had with Casillas Family Funeral Home. My sister was told she could be there earlier so they could get things ready. She was there at 6:30 along with other family members and it was locked so she called the office because no one opened at the office. Someone told her that they would be opening the doors in a few minutes. They all waited patiently, which took longer than it should and the only way they realized the door was now open was because a guest arrived and opened the door to go in. At that point they realized someone had opened it, but they were never informed that it was, nor did they see anyone open in. The flower delivery company was there to drop off the arrangements but because the door was closed, they left them outside. There was half a coffee pot there that was cold and probably there from the last service held and coffee was not ready. No one was there to assist/customer service so we could ask if we needed anything, explain how everything works and etc. We had a power point, and it took 30 min to figure it out and get it working which tells me it was not setup. We felt rushed out with no warnings of how this works. The sink was very dirty and disgusting use. By far it was a bad experience in addition to our grief and we are very disappointed. This shows us that customers are not important to the Casillas family and that everything was so unorganized. I realize I never posted a review so I'm doing this now.

When we called Rose Mortuaries we initially spoke with Connie who was patient, empathetic, and did not overwhelm us at all. When we attended our first appointment we worked with Alex who saw us all the way through the entire process. We knew our father wished to be cremated, and Alex helped fill in all the gaps for our family. She was attentive and provided us space at the same time. She didn't push anything on us and clearly explained the essentials, dates, and was extremely flexible on accommodations that were in between some of the options offered. We had an intimidate memorial / viewing for our father at the Rancho Mirage location for immediate family. The location was private, quiet, and well presented. Our father was well presented and looked handsome and at rest. In the days after the viewing, my father was cremated, and Rose Mortuaries accommodated our family's needs to have the ashes divided amongst my brothers and me. We each had a say in the process and were able to honor our father in our own unique way. All paperwork and certification were presented in clearly marked envelopes and folders.
