If you are looking for Lawn Mower or Lawn Tractor repair, I highly recommend Mowers Plus! I have…read moreused them for 4 years and they will come to your home and do onsite repair to mowers, blowers, trimmers, tillers, saws and much more. I have a John Deere Lawn Tractor that I can't load in the back of my SUV and take it to a service center. They also repair push mowers which are difficult to load into most vehicles as well (unless you have a pickup truck). Owner, Tharius Dowell, responds quickly and comes to my home for a nominal service fee, diagnoses the specific problems, can perform a complete diagnostic, and has most replacement parts on his truck. He has saved me weeks of leaving my mower at a service center after renting a trailer to deliver it and pick it up, and getting my yard work done quickly. I decided to put my malfunctioned weed eater into this Black-owned family business. As an African…read moreAmerican I wanted to keep economic growth into the community....BIG MISTAKE!!! My experience was God-awful!! Poor customer service, broken promises, and poor communication. They state the turnaround time for repair is 10 days and you'll be contacted. I waited nearly 20 days with no contact!! I had to call them for an update only to find out minimum work had been done. They very seldom answer the phone. The owner lied stating I'd get a return call on a completion that never happened. After nearly a month, I decided to just go and pick my weed eater up. It looked just like it did when it was dropped off!! As a Christian I usually not outspoken, but this ordeal is unacceptable and disgraceful. I' had high expectations that wasn't close to being met. It was like going to Chic-fil- an and getting McDonald's service!!! I definitely wouldn't go back nor recommend. If you do, please don't say you weren't warned!!!

I contracted with Steven last August to fix the air conditioning in my truck; he gave me a year…read morewarranty on the work (parts and labor); verbally of course so I don't have anything to fall back on in writing (my mistake). After I paid him upfront for the parts (didn't have an issue with that) on August 22, I was told he would have the parts by Tuesday the 9th of September (18 days after supposedly ordering them, but okay)... I texted him on Wednesday the 10th asking when I should expect him. He texted back said he had been sick and asked if Friday the 12th would work. Told him sure. Friday comes and he doesn't show. I text him back and no response. This continues through the ENTIRE following week with no response from him. He finally shows up on the 19th (nearly an entire month after we first agreed he would do the job). I paid him via CashApp for the labor and figured that was the end of the situation. When he left, I was happy, finally had some air conditioning in the truck. My happiness was short-lived, because by Monday it was back to blowing hot air (no freon). So of course, I texted him and finally Wednesday the 24th he said he would try to get to me by the weekend (26-27 September), of course that didn't happen. He texted me again on the 29th saying he would "try and make it today".... Finally on the 30th of September he made it back over to redo his work. Everything since then was fine until last Sunday, May the 17th. The AC started blowing hot air again (obviously the system has sprung another leak). I've attempted to contact him via text every day since then with absolutely no response. Oh, and for those of you wondering why I'm texting him instead of calling, he doesn't answer the phone and hasn't even bothered to set up a voicemail. If you have an AC issue, find someone else. I'm fed up with this nonsense. Thinking about small claims court, but at this point I just need some AC.

Then the self-propel stopped working and the battery would not charge. I had to keep using the mower to keep the lawn cut. I called and spoke to Mr. Sosebee and he said to bring it in and they would put it at the front of the line. Well I finally got a chance to bring it in and they fixed it in three hours. I went back in the afternoon and picked it up. Seems a sweet gum ball (can't stand the prickly balls) had gotten lodged in the belt and ripped it so that's why the self propel wouldn't work. The battery was defective and under warranty so it was replaced. They also replaced the 22" blade. It runs great now and I'm glad as I was getting tired of pushing it up the hill. Stephanie Trotter and her team did a great job getting right to the repair and I really appreciate it. I've used other repair shops but Sosebee gets my vote for the best. Thanks again!

I work out of town so I didn't have a need to use it for a couple months. I tried to use it and it would not start. I took it back and of course they were happy to charge me another $51 to look at it. They got it to start but would not start for me. I purchased a compression tester and discovered the blower only had 70 PSI of compression. Now I have over $300 wrapped up in an old blower that needs to be completely rebuilt. Do not use these people. Any shade tree mechanic can throw parts at something without doing any troubleshooting. Hey Sosebee, I'll be happy to attach pics of receipts if you think any of this is made up but you and I both remember each other. Go ahead and keep being mediocre. It's gotten you this far.
