Home Depot subs out their carpet jobs to this company. We had a runner installed on our stairs and it was a disaster. Bottom line is they did not know what they were doing and installed it off center and also did not match up the pattern on landings and pie steps. They also banged up all of the woodwork along the way. Their customer service representatives were extremely rude to me on the phone when I called for a refund. They basically told me it was my fault for choosing a patterned carpet. Eventually I was able to get most of our money back from Home Depot and had the entire job ripped out and re-done by a legitimate carpet store. It literally took me months of calling Home Depot over and over to accomplish this. Don't make the same mistake we did!

If I can give this company 0 points I would. This Flooring Company is hired by Home Depot to install flooring. Also known ACS. I bought laminate flooring to be installed in my living room from Home Depot. After their installer's ripped up all my carpet and padding, they found out that my floor had dips in it and the flooring couldn't be installed. The installer's destroyed 3 of my bedroom carpets which face the living room. They cut back my bedroom carpets into the bedrooms. I had signs on the bedroom door's saying DO NOT open bedroom doors. Because the installers didn't speak English, I guess they don't know how to read English. DO NOT OPEN BEDROOM DOORS. I have 3 cats and each one of the cats were placed in the 3 bedrooms. I didn't want them to escape out the front door from all the noise. They could have easily cut the carpet in the living from the outside of the bedroom doors. Instead they opened the 3 bedroom doors and cut all 3 of my bedroom carpets into the bedroom. 2 of my bedroom thresholds are 5 3/4" of a inch. The other bedroom threshold is 7". They cut more than 3 inches off my 3 bedroom carpets. You can see the cut carpet inside of my 3 bedrooms doors. Those carpets are now fraying because their installer's never put the transitions pieces back in place after they cut my carpet. They destroyed one of my baseboard air conditioning heater unit's in the living room by denting it. The heater is half on the wall and half on the floor, they never bothered to put the screw's back into the heater's so they are hanging loose from the floor. They also damaged a piece of my wood work by my fire place, which now has a chip in it. My kitchen and bathroom has vinyl flooring. The installers did not put back the transitions pieces so now the vinyl is up lifting off the floor. Tripped on the kitchen vinyl one day and fell on the floor at 65 years old I do not need any broken bones. Called Homey Depot and sent them pictures. No response, Called ASC (American Carpet South) and was asked to send pictures which I did, no response from them either. Emailed ASC in NJ which is their corporate office and no response from them.

THIS IS FOR FLOORING INSTALL. ACS CARPET(HUDSON, NH)IS WHO THEY USE. BEWARE! I will list some facts that I can prove by pictures. Read the entire post or skip to bottom for short version -Ordered $4000 worth of carpeting. -Measure was suppose to happen at 4pm. He arrived at 6:30. Here until 10:30 for 1100 sq ft. -Set up an appt for install. They called a few days earlier and said they could be there in 1.5 hrs at 8:30am. They arrived at 11:30am. Said 4 hour job. They were here until 8:30pm. -Extra roll of padding was in my garage so I called HD and was assured that I could take it back. Installer told me no, got angry, swore at me in Spanish and told me there was extra because he used, and I quote, "scraps from another job". He left the padding. I contacted HD and ACS was assured they would warranty the padding if he did use scraps, but they said he was mistaken and it was a language issue rather then actual fact. Will get to how that turned out in a bit. -Job completed and I immediately found numerous problems. Almost every corner of room was cut too short and you could/see or touch the sub floor. I went to HD and I informed ACS and they sent out a new crew to look at it. -New crew came and admitted it was a "hack job" and to not to sign the satisfaction paperwork they ask you to sign at the end. They tried to fix what they could but could not fix many due to being cut too short -I called HD and ACS which I as told that the crew said I was satisfied and they fixed all mistakes. I immediately took photos and went to HD and spoke with Heidi the install manager. Later, the HD manager called me and asked me to call him back. I was on the phone with Heidi (the other one), the VP at ACS. She begged me not to call HD. Said she would compensate me and fix the problem. I insisted that I would. SO she asked if we could 3 way call. I said sure. Ont he phone she informed the manger and myself that they would compensate and send out their best guy, and I quote, "the guy that fixes all of our mistakes." That is reassuring! -Best installer came out, and knowledgeable, kind and honest. He immediately said it had to be ripped out completely. He also found where they took fibers from the carpet and stuffed them into hols and short cuts they had to cover mistakes. This installer told me Heidi from ACS tried to convince him to just fix it. But he said he could not. Funny, when your "best guy" tells you that it needs to be ripped out you think you would trust him rather than make a judgement from your duff 60 miles away. AND WAIT...IT GETS BETTER...He informed me that they rolled the carpet up into my baseboard heater...so I looked and it was wrapped up into the heating coils...every heater, in every room. REAL SAFE!!! He even said it is a fire hazard. -The installer said he refuses to work with others because how bad they are, so it would take him 2 days. (total of 6 visits throughout 2.months). -BUT WAIT.....IT GETS EVEN BETTER!!!!!! When the professional, kind installer came, he ripped up the old job and found areas they never even put padding down (stairs), and where they left my old padding down and carpeted over it!!! And where he used patchwork of many pieces like he said he did and I was told that it was a language issue. SWEET!! NOW I KNOW WHERE THE EXTRA PADDING CAME FROM! -In the end, the job was done right. So now I went back and asked for the compensation I was promised (and the Manager of HD heard). I was told no. So I went to HD and explained the fire hazard, etc., and they got HD corporate involved. -They offered jack. In the end, they gave me 25% off. After all of that. And I was told 8 days ago that a letter will be in the mail and I will get it in two days. My guess is that it states I cannot tell anyone about this. But I have to guess because i received no letter. 8 days later I call and am informed that they will put in a request with that dept to get the tracking number. I said I would hold, she said no because all she can do is put in a request. I said I would like to speak to the woman I dealt with prior, no she is in a meeting. Ok, can I talk to anyone in that dept that works with her. No, they are all in a meeting. And around and around we went. SO YOU KNOW: The professional, kind installer gave me the low down. HD contracts with ACS, ACS allows anyone with some guys to be a Crew Chief. All you need is a van and insurance. They do not care about experience because they "pair them" with someone who knows what they are doing. But the guy "who knows what he is doing", really doesn't. He told me and showed me pictures, of jobs he has had to fix. One was classic...when they had to glue carpet to a concrete floor, they guys didn't know how to mix glue properly so it was a slimy mess that wouldn't adhere. Instead of figuring it out...THEY USED ELMER'S GLUE STICKS!!!! The guy had to clean it up and he said it was a joke. BEWARE!!!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!!

First of all they were running late. My appointment time was 12:30-2 pm. The guy showed up at 2:30…read morepm. When he arrived he was pleasant enough and very thorough with his work. The installation of my carpet was superb. The quality of the carpet was also fabulous. The issue I had was after the installation, the owner Gabe changed the price he quoted me. I was quoted $386 and I told him I would dispose of the old carpet. Why did I end up paying $180 and $220??? I was told that taking up the carpet was not included. That was never explained to me over the phone. Yes, it was a few dollars, but that is not the point. It is the principle. Professionalism is what I expected from beginning to end. Not lateness without a phone call and no hidden fees. I am sure you will understand this review Gabe. I am sure you would not like this done to you either if you were the consumer.

I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business. Don't even waste your time, I can't believe…read morethey're even in business. I will start out by saying the installation quality was very good and our large master bedroom was completed in one day. That was literally the only positive of this experience. Ordered the carpet in mid-July, was told 1 week, maybe one and a half max. Two weeks go by, I hear nothing from the store. I call back and the owner Gabe begins blaming a shipping delay and says should be in within 4 days. That day comes and goes, no update provided. I call again and again, shipping delays etc. etc. Haggled with the owner to give me some sort of discount, to which he finally agrees. In the end what was quoted as a 10 day project (from initial ordering to installation) turned out to be over a month long ordeal. To make matters worse, the receptionist 'Jordan' is completely unprofessional and beyond rude. She called less than 48 hours after the job was finally completed telling me I "still hadn't paid". I called her back to remind of how long I had to wait and that I would pay by the end of the week. Instead of apologizing for the delay, she yelled at me and proceeded to talk over me until I hung up on her. She tried to immediately call me back, which I obviously declined. She then left a message telling me I can't "disrespect her and that I can't talk to her that way" before placing me on a minute long hold...on my voicemail. Appalled is the only word I can use to describe the treatment I got from this business. I have told no less than 5 people to NEVER do business with this company and I hope 5,000 read this review. I don't use price as my final determination. I also checked his reviews and they were all excellent. Shane came over my house to give me an estimate and show me some carpet samples. He was very professional and polite. I chose my carpet, put down a deposit and Shane told me when he expected the carpet to come in. He did advise me that there might be a delay due to supply chain issues. While waiting for the carpet, Shane was easy to get a hold of and he was very communicative. The carpet came in when he thought it would and we scheduled the install. When Shane arrived to install the carpet he was very careful and meticulous. He put down clean gripping drop cloths wherever it was necessary while he worked. He made sure that his tools and carpet weren't in the way of foot traffic. Shane is a hard worker and you can see the pride he takes in his work. He completely moved our bedroom furniture, removed the old carpet and pad and installed the new carpet, and replaced our bedroom furniture, in one bedroom, in one day. He not only installed the new carpet but he fixed a squeak we had in the floors of both bedrooms. Shane made sure we were happy with the furniture placement and was very careful moving it. The next day, Shane removed the furniture, removed the old carpet, installed the new carpet and replaced the furniture in our smaller bedroom/office, in a half a day. The products Shane uses are top of the line, unlike Home Depot and he goes above and beyond when installing the carpet. Shane is professional and trustworthy and does incredible work, you won't be disappointed.
