DO NOT BUY! BEWARE! First off, I understand the sales person is a sales person but you guys clearly have no boundaries. This is an email to tell you what you need to correct. So you sent someone falsely advertising a cleaning service, that was your first mistake. If I knew that I would be spending 2hrs with a sales person i would have said no from the very beginning. The first 20min were ok. But after showing me most of the bells and whistles that should have been the closing. I'm sure the technic works on some people but you came to the wrong house. I was willing to listen to his sales pitch and give him the time at this point because he obviously needs the practice. The one thing that I almost died was when he came into my private bedroom. BAD BAD BAD BAD! The room and especially any room is a sacred place and especially the Bed! My boyfriend is diagnosed with OCD, has been for 15yrs. The minute that vacuum touched our bed i thought he was going to pass out. There was no permission asked he barged in like is he owned the home. Both our anxieties went sky high and his still at a 10. I'll be spending the rest of the evening getting his anxiety to come back down. I can literally give a shit about dust mites. Excuse my language but I'm writing this because of the anxiety i previously have and I'll be dealing with for the rest of the day. Then I finally tell the sales kid no and here I am 2 hrs later trying to get him out of my house. I ended up cleaning up after the mess he made with all those stupid pads. I can't even get the amount of baking soda he left in my carpet completely out. There was no vacuum clean up, just a mess. I had to spend my time cleaning up. Seriously 100 pads won't sell me if I wasn't even sold after 20. I believe kirby is a great vacuum but the sale pitch was far too much. I've now wasted my evening and I have to get ready for a dinner date that I am now most likely will have to postpone due to the anxiety my boyfriend has. This seriously drove me away from ever wanting to buy a kirby just because of the sales pitch, time and anxiety it all created. I hope he learned many lessons from me after telling him how working this hard for money is bullshit. And never to go into a bedroom. If I don't get my boyfriends anxiety down by the end of the night you will have a lawsuit. This was just over extensive and unprofessional. I'm so disappointed. This review will also be going up on yelp! And a complaint will be sent to the better business bureau. read more

Fantastic customer service! These people are very professional! Thank you for taking the time to show me how my Kirby works! I've had my Kirby vacuum for years and recently had wooden floors installed. I had no idea how to use the amazing wood floor buffer. These guys didn't need to take the time to show me, they could've gone to another home that needed a vacuum. Instead though, they took the time to teach me what to do! I had no idea how clean and shiny my wood (& tile) floors could look! It's like I have a new machine to clean my house. I've had every vacuum in the world, but the Kirby is THE ONE that does everything. It even takes off wallpaper and sprays paint! read more

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I can't thank you guys enough for the vacuum you so generously donated to my daughter's preschool. Thank you! read more

Bernice came to our door and offered us a free promotion to clean something in the house. We were hesitant at first but decided to say yes. She was very nice and polite. About 15 minutes later, Allen came by to start cleaning. While we were pushing to have the couch done, he seemed very set on getting the stains out of our carpet. Free is free so we let him do what he wanted. The carpet looks great. We have had the carpet cleaned in the past by other companies and the stains usually come back so I may need to come back with a follow up review in a few months. But for now, I'm very happy. Allan was very nice and friendly. When I asked what I could do to help his business, he was direct in telling me that we could buy a vacuum and gave me the payment option but wasn't overly pushing when I explained our financial situation. I will definitely keep them in mind when we do have enough money to buy a more expensive vacuum and for all future cleaning tasks in our house. Thank you read more

Finally used my "refurbished" Kirby vacuum today, gotta say, wasn't impressed. So figured I'd use the new shampooer to clean a simple area rug. The attachment made a horrible noise and didn't do anything to the rug except make a mess with suds. As a father of two, I was sold on all the bells and whistles of the Kirby (dirt, allergies, etc. Blah blah blah). In the end, got a $1000 USED vacuum, and a new bubble maker. Customer service was still good though (hence the two stars). The customer service representative at the office was only a little annoyed when I told her I would drop off the vacuum, after I put a stop payment on a thousand dollars worth of checks. read more

Hassan and Norma came by and we loved it. They showed us how to use it and everything was done very fast and great!

This company seems like a scam. They came to my house at 6:30 at night and offered a free carpet cleaning. Instead, it was a 2-hour sales pitch. After my fiancé said she did not want to purchase the vacuum, the salesman opened the front door to bring his boss into the house. My fiancé was home alone and was very uncomfortable with 2 strange men in the house. They finally left but the whole experience seems very sketchy. If they knock on your door, don't waste your time by letting them in! read more

I had the pleasure of having Timothy do a demonstration for my family. The Kirby vacuum is definitely more than just a vacuum. I am looking forward to owning one in the near future it just wasn't the right time today. Timothy did an amazing job showing all of Kirby's WONDERFUL features. He was very nice and knowledgeable. He knew a lot about the product. Thank you for showing us what Kirby can do, JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING. Amazing! Timothy you're awesome! Palmdale, California appreciates you! read more

DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR TACTICS! EVEN THOUGH THEY OFFER A "FREE CLEANING," ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS SELL YOU A KIRBY VACUUM! THEIR DOOR-TO-DOOR APPROACH IS VERY OFF-PUTTING! My wife and I were cleaning the house when our doorbell rang. I was walking to answer the door (less than 15 seconds after the bell rang) when I heard our screen door open. That usually means it's family. I was thinking it was our granddaughter, since she likes to do that. When I opened the door there was a young lady standing there. To say that I was taken aback is an understatement. She immediately tried to play on the fact that we have a sign on our porch that says, "Welcome Friends." Instead of hello, I'm ___________, she said, "Oh, it says here welcome friends, I'm your friend." She got around to introducing herself and her teammate, who was busy on her phone, and then handed me the card which offered the free cleaning. Of course she spoke fast (a common trait of scammers). I noticed a few things that raised a red flag. First, the card wasn't in her name, it was a male representative of the company. Second, the office was in Moorpark, CA. I live in Upland, CA---82 miles away! Third, I noticed the "Official Kirby Representative" underneath the guy's name. I told her we already had a Kirby and weren't looking to buy another one (we have replaced it with a Rainbow). When I couldn't remember how old our Kirby vacuum was, she asked if she could see it. She made what I thought was an attempt to actually enter our house (I'm not 100% sure) when I told her we were not interested and to have a nice day. When I went to turn and close our door, she asked for the business card back. I gave it back and told her in more of a stern voice to leave. Look, I appreciate the fact that people are trying to earn a living. I don't begrudge them that. In this instance, I felt it was not only a poor presentation, but bordered on a "Push-in sales pitch," during which they force themselves into your house to try to sell you on their product. I'm sure it won't result in anything, but I'm going to call the company in Moorpark and raise holy hell. Because of these intimidating tactics, I will probably get a No Solicitors sign. I'm also going to call the Kirby company to let them know what kind of tactics their contracted companies are using. If they ever come back, I'm giving them 10 seconds to leave or I will call the police department for trespassing. read more

Matthew and Baz came by to demonstrate the Kirby vacuum cleaner for my husband and I. We are extremely impressed! Both of them were super knowledgeable and professional, and we would love to become future customers one day. read more

Typically I might not answer my door to a salesman, but we were having a garage sale and a very polite young man, Josh, asked if he could clean my floors with his Kirby. He was so sweet and Kirby is a name I grew up with so I said yes. I am so pleased with the job he did in my kitchen, even the grout in between the tiles is back to bright white, which with multiple dogs, I have to admit it was a big change. Josh not only did a wonderful job cleaning with his Kirby, but he made me feel at ease having a stranger in my home. Thank you, Josh! read more

Armando from Ventura County was in Riverside County on Oct 5th conducting a free cleaning demonstration and Kirby's new and improved model. I'm a Kirby owner and bought my very first via the same door to door approach and was sold on the spot. The only reason I didn't close on the deal this evening is that at this very given moment I don't have a need for a second vacuum. They are so well made that mine is barely broken in after 8yrs. I was tempting...I made the analogy to Armando that if i bought the new model it would be like having my 2002 Volvo that runs beautifully side by side to my new BMW, although the BMW is fast, sporty, and although my Volvo is not fast or sporty after 15 yrs she still runs beautifully and is dependable...nonetheless I had to pass on the new purchase and AMAZING deal that Armando offered. Armando is subtly relentless in his approach and although it was about closing the deal, it didn't keep him from fostering a relationship and planting the seed for perhaps an upcoming purchase in 2018. Armando represents Kirby really well, he is young, right attitude and eager to grow his book of business all while fostering what could be longtime business relationships and building up the Kirby brand! Armando I wish you all the success you deserve!! Julio read more

These guys took excellent care of us. We brought our 25 year old Kirby in for some minor repairs and decided to have them do a rebuild. The price was reasonable and they had it done in three days. It looks almost new and runs great! Hassan even kept there shop open late so we could make in that day. Quality customer service is becoming a lost art, but it is alive and well here. Thanks Hassan. read more

I am writing to provide feedback on the Kirby demonstration I just received from Richard Valverde. He came to my home this afternoon (8/5/15) to demonstrate the new Kirby Avalir. He did an excellent job of explaining the product and its different capabilities. He showed me the difference the vacuuum cleaner made on my rug (it picked up a great deal of dirt and pet hair), the shampoo feature, the window cleaner and hardwood floor cleaner. He was very courteous and professional. If it was not because I already own a Kirby, I would have definitely purcharsed one from Richard. He is an excellent salesman! read more

I felt like I was in that episode of "I Love Lucy" where she was selling vacuum cleaners! And I totally fell for it! Two nice young people came and said they were currently working on someone else's house and just because they wanted a good Yelp review they said they would clean one room of carpet for free, they were just starting out and wanted the advertising. Well, I fell for it! Another person came to the door 3 minutes later with the boxed set up - and I figured I'd just get a free carpet cleaning. Over 2 hours later they were still here, and my night was ruined. Except I now have a clean carpet and also a clean sofa. I did not buy the vacuum, I told the salesman I felt they had misrepresented the "service". Ben was such a hard worker and a great person, but the salesman was trying so hard to sell... I can't believe it. I have to smile, because I'm picturing the thousands of people back in the olden days who were subjected to this kind of salesmanship quite often. Now back to the 21st century. Nothing is for free! :-) read more

I had a young kid ring my doorbell while I was eating dinner. I answered the door and he immediately asked me if I was the man of the house, I said I was and he started his canned pitch explaining how he could clean my carpet for free (he said everyone in the neighborhood was doing it) and before he would let me speak one word he asked which room I wanted him to start with........ Does this tactic work with other people? I told him politely that I didn't need his services. Im sure the kid was just trying to make a buck but this company gave him this stupid strongarm sales pitch that reminded me of vacuum cleaner salesmen from the 60's. Guess what? I found out through yelp reviews they do indeed sell Kirby Vacuum cleaners! Looks like we haven't progressed much in 55 years..... What a sad company. read more

I had a young lady knock on our door. She was doing some sort of advertisement for a company called American Appliance Factory Direct Inc. She said she was going around offering free cleaning for her company: couch cleaning, carpets, tile, etc. FOR FREE. "you don't pay anything, but we get paid from our company for advertising." Uhh, doesnt make sense.. whats the catch?! For one, the flyers she was giving out were poorly done. Second, when I looked them up online, they don't even have their own website describing what they do! Seemed like a big scam to me. After we declined the offer, she kept trying to look into our apartment, and she kept pushing us to take it. She kept saying that people who had lived around us had taken up the offer. Well, thats nice but thats them not me. I advise anyone who gets a sales rep from this company with a small pink flyer, watch out. read more

The product is great and Jodie, the salesperson was just as good. The only reason we didn't buy today is that we recently moved and it cost a fortune. We will be contacting her back this year to purchase. read more
