Flint Bishop International Airport reminds me a lot of the Myrtle Beach airport. It's very simple:…read moreTwo stories, an elevator and an escalator. The airport is currently being remodeled, so it's a work in progress. Let me start by saying that while at the Las Vegas Harry Reid airport I had to clean my own toilet before using it, here the first floor bathroom sparkled and was quite nice. No chipped gross mirrors here. I'm looking at you, Harry Reid. I'm giving 4 stars because all of the eateries were closed. If you have arrivals and departures, they should be open. You want to provide an exceptional customer experience right? Then you need to be open. Staff was present and friendly. The elevator worked well and was clean. The escalator was working fine. I didn't take it because of luggage. Although there was construction, I didn't feel hindered in any way. Passenger pick up was convenient and you could load right at the front doors. In all, it's a nice little airport!

this airline has the worst customer service i've ever experienced...oh wait I can't say that…read morebecause I've never been able to communicate with anyone from the airline. The app is not really an app., I've tried to book a flight unsuccessfully 9 times! It's clear they only want you to book online and you cannot communicate talk with anyone if you're having difficulty. They will however take your money and try to sell you everything under the sun...if you're successful booking a flight I suppose. I travel every other week for business and will never fly Allegiant!

Despite the pressure, she kept a smile on her face and stayed kind, calm, and incredibly efficient the whole time. I have rented vehicles numerous times from this Budget since it is located at the airport. In this…read morelocation, Budget and Avis share a counter near baggage claim. I typically make a reservation on-line. When I arrive pick-up is a smooth, easy process: I provide an ID and reservation number, wait a few minutes to receive the keys and then I'm on my way. I'm usually able to complete this process before my luggage arrives on the conveyor belt. I definitely recommend a thorough inspection of the vehicle before you drive off. I often see a lot of knicks, dings, scratches, chips in the windshield, etc. on the vehicles. Once, the inner part of the wheel well was coming apart on a vehicle - they offered to replace it if a similar vehicle in its class became available. You want to be sure that all is documented before you drive away. I feel like half of the time the vehicles smell like someone was smoking in them. Sometimes I can tell that the vehicle has been vacuumed but often there is still bug residue all over the outside. I image this is because they don't have a lot of time or enough staff to work on the turn-over in-between rentals. Otherwise, I would say that I don't have any issues - at least nothing that keeps me from being a repeat customer. Overall, it continues to be an okay experience.

They replaced it with another, and multiple warning lights came on within minutes of leaving. Counter was now closed. Next day attempted to have car replaced, was told to call road service. Drove directly to Budget, and was told that I had to call road service when they could see the car parked outside the door. It was replaced with "the only one they had," which was an off-road vehicle that a member of our group would not be able to enter. Returned next day, and car was replaced. End result: four cars, 3 1/2 hours on phone with customer service, two trips to a budget counter in a different city, and they gave me a $49 credit! Absolutely pathetic customer service.

There aren't many taxi choices in Shiawassee County. An associate asked the lady at the hotel desk…read moreabout Uber and she just laughed. So getting from Durand to the Flint Airport involved calling Flint taxi companies to find one that would make the 30-mile round trip (for them) The people at Travel 9 were nice, the car was on time, the driver was polite, helpful and drove safely. Really, the important stuff was covered. But this isn't New York or San Francisco...or even Norfolk. The car was a mid-size white sedan with a magnetic sign on the door, the car smelled of cigarettes, and had a flimsy seat cover in the back. The radio played the local classic rock station and I was never consulted about volume or content. Again, safe and on time. Just don't expect a big city taxi, much less a car service.
